hey Khoa A good place to go camping, I went earlier this year- was to Cape Liptrap which is reallly really far south in a desolate National park near the beach. Its so quiet and peaceful, nice beach, nice campsite which are sectioned off by heavy scrub, so you cant really see anyone else. Its about a 2 1/2 hour drive, roads are totally empty and theres a 8 km gravel track to get the campsite. Plenty of wildlife when we went, Foxes, rabbits, Wombats, Koalas (hey you wont be alone ), even maybe black panthers!!!

bigcarl - what car were you driving, I only seen 2 other GTRs there and I think a white R33 GTST.

Hey Im running a fairly "common" Exedy Heavy duty clutch. Ive never believed in these clutches in the past, Ive always had CBP Xtreme button clutches, but this exedy clutch cops a hammering and holds nicely. I got it new when I first got the car, Im pleased with it, and its not really that expensive. Its held up well for over 16 x 12 second passes and the assaulting it gets on the street. no 1000ft speeds were recorded in ANY of my runs, but at the 660 ft mark I was getting 89 mph. Getting good times comes down to practise and knowing your car, people ask me what RPM I launch and what RPM to shift, I dont look, I somehow am able to hear it. Keep it simple, dont try too many things at once, you dont need more boost to get a better E.T.

Help! Headunit In R33 Dying Under Power/parkers
Starionturbo replied to Starionturbo's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Its a 2004 Model JVC Mp3 deck. I was going to do the direct earth but thought itd be ok. Ill give it a go, any other suggestions? Regards Kim -
hey guys I installed my system today into my R33 and have come across 2 issues. System works beatifully, but turn the volume up on a bassy song, the head unit just cuts power and resets itself and turns back on again in a second. Also when the parkers/lights are turned on, the unit turns off. We have checked and changed earthing points, everything. All I can think of is that the headunit is getting too much power and has some sort of protection mode that cuts it out, its annoying and quite frustrating. A mate suggested this is a common problem in nissans, with the Luminecience wire affecting what happens when the lights are on and off - but we still dont know why the headunit cuts out when its turned up a little bit - very dissapointing. If you can help itd be MUCH appreciated. Kind regards Kim

Took the car down to calder last nite, a few skylines there, seen a few R31 GTS with SAU VIC stickers on em. Last minute decision to go down and run my car cos the tyres are prettty slick, we also pulled out the front headlight. Only got 3 runs in cos it was packed but on my last run I gave it my all and ran a 12.5 @ 110 mph. I was reallll happy with the result. I did this on 13 psi, bald 18 inch 265 Dunlop SP8000e, stock dump, stock cat and a remapped (for stock turbo) ecu. I have got 113 mph before on just over 14 psi, but I kept it at low boost hence the lower 110 MPH. Just a nice big burnout to get the tyres up to temp and a solid launch. Ive got a video of the run as well, will put it up! im hoping now when I put on injectors, PFC, tune and a couple of other items that I can get the car into the high 11s, again on street 18s (no nittos/semi slicks).

Hey guys I have just bought another CD player, and Im selling the one that was in it! I didnt really wanna get rid of it because it looks absolutely awesome sitting there, and it really impresses other people when they see it "whoaaaa its got a BOSE deck"! It was a Factory fitted option on My 97 Series II R33. I have never ever seen this before - it is a CD and tape Deck and features a Bose sound Processor! I am selling it for $100 bucks! Perfect value if you want the clean factory look with plenty of "wow" factor! Good if your selling your R33 as you can remove your existing deck and sell it with this and itd add value to the car! $100 Contact Kim by PM on here or 0433999982 - no emails. Please let me know -heres a piccy!

As a matter of fact, I do go to some of the buisnesses in the south east, and for around 7 months earlier this year as a Trainee, I was travelling to over 1400 different customers throughout the week throughout Melbourne and Country Victoria. I was also living in the S/E and was working out of there for 3 months. So how can you say "No"? I dont work for some overnight little parts shop. Over the time I have got to meet many many Mechanics, panel beaters and so forth and theres clearly differences in Workmanship and pride of work with different people in different areas, sure its a generalisation saying a particular area is bad, however im talking majorities hence I brought this topic up.
-
Im not taking a poke at the western suburbs but In all due respect, I deal with and get to know the majority of Panel and mechanical workshops in the North/North Western area with my Job and I have seen some pretty shoddy jobs and countless amount of cars running around the area that show it. Sure there is excellent work and whoever you are or go and see does great stuff, but thats not to say all are. Just giving the potential buyer a personal view because he asked for one. No need to jump up and down.

Where abouts is Hampton? Im a fan of Bbqed meat so I have to pay a visit. As for Lazy moes, I went there once agesssss ago for a dinner after my Work training and the size of there servings are like as big a 4 meals in a posh little inner city restaurant. The meat platters called Mixed grill - and one of my colleagues, whos nearly 7 foot tall and with a appetite to match cudnt even eat 3/4s of it, it had eggs ,sausages, steak, pork chops, a rack of ribs, burgers, a mountain of chips. It even had a lamp full of barbeque sauce. One thing I can say, for so much food, it tastes awesome!I had a photo of it on my fone because I cudnt beleive how huge it was- all there meals were super super huge! Itd be good to share, however when u go there, guarenteed ull be so hungry u wudnt wanna share.

It was I that made the angry pub bogan do a burnout. While we were hurling abuse at them, i just screamed do a burnout - he goes I GOT NO CAR - and I kept shouting it at him so he picked up his feet and did a burnout with hes shoes. I almost fell off the balcony laughing. As for mother and daugther pics - I think Aaron (wrx boy) had some actual video footage. You wouldnt wanna see the mothers face, it was one only a benalian daughter could love.
-
Well My car got rammed just outta healsville and we stopped to ring police, as we were leaving this crazy man ran out of the pub and offered to wash James car window with a squeegee. Brisby was screamin something at him, I had to stop the car and hold up traffic cos I nearly crashed laughing. I have never seen ne funnier shit before, he was jumping up and down like a madman down the main street.

BRISBY BEHAVING BADLY IN HEALSVILLE

All I can say : AWESOME Havent had so much fun in a while, drank hard, laughed, joked, got to know a great bunch of Freindly people!!! Without all the guys that came, it wouldnt have been such a great outing! My car got rammed on the way up by a angry hill billy, no damage, but ill still report it, if anyone sees a beige 2WD hilux with a black bullbar and MOTABITZ stickers on it - let me know!!! As for all the shenanigans from last nite, our freindly neighbours topped the list of laughs! When it got all ugly, it was me and brisby who kept guard on the vehicles in the carpark, from possible vandalism (or ramming). All in all a great weekend, great racing, good outing, hope everything works out for you chris! The way home was interesting, with Pete in the Silver 34 docking with the Camry for a alcohol refuel. My TRD V SPEC N1 rally camry had a huge I LOVE WANG scribed into the bumper, people drove past staring angrily, while Brisby carried on and gave them some advice - "SUCK PISSSSS"

are there any dodgy R32s in the airport west area? The whole melbourne population of dodgy R32s come from this area or within 25 kms of this area. Look carefully, ive been to see a few cos A mate of mine wants one, and ive been shocked at some of the cars that people are trying to sell up here. My advice, u have better luck looking somewhere in the south eastern suburbs. At least they dont have 50 dollar hothouse green campbellfied special peeling paintjobs.
