  8. Julzy you shud be happy with the federals ive used both the 595 and 535 for years and they are a great tyre. Theo woolets GTR runs 9s on the 595s, is that enough cred or what?
  9. You can get almost new 255s for cheappppp. Segginhand tyres. Adrian rd Campbellfield. Hankook honestly are crap I reckon. If your adament about new tyres, I have to say, go for Federal 535s. Grippy, long wearing and all round great tyre. Ive run many 12 second passes with them. And for 17s I remember paying around 165 dollars each. Try Fawkner Tyres on sydney road I know there a federal Stockist. Regards Kim

  12. hahahaahahah But so true, please keep it safe on the road, especially lots of you recently licensed drivers, the wet is a whole different ballpark and can/is extremely dangerous. It may seem appealing to go drift your car in the rain or whatever, but beleive me, when the cars wrapped around a pole or on the side of a gutter with a strut hanging out the side of it, its not good on your mind, ur driving record or your hip pocket. Lots of people including myself sometimes forget this, but good winter tyres should be used this period of year. I dont drive my car as a daily, but I usually have a good brand of tyre on the front and rear. Tyres are often overlooked. After driving for over 5 years, I can safely say tyres are a massive influence on how your car drives/handles in the wet. With powerful LSD equipped rear drive cars, even off the throttle on a corner or roundabout can cause the car to move sideways with crappy tyres. Is a couple of hundred dollars invested in tyres too much for the amount you have spent on your pride and joy? Just a couple of things to keep in mind. Safe Driving Kim
  13. IVe got a Kakimoto Hyper N1 system and its no where near quiet. Its the Full stainless type. Lots of my mates cant get over the pure note it produces, its unlike anything else. The quiet kakimotos ur talking about and the stock muffler styled ones with a big chrome tip. They are quite good as well If you want loud - on my old R32 GTS-T with RB25 Conversion, I had a HKS Kansai Twin system. THe car sounded like a devil when revved and popped and banged like a race car. It was so beyond illegal that it was crazy.

  21. Welcome to the club good to see a member of the police wanting to be active within the club. If I joined the police id certainly have a similar attitude. I dont know about here, but back in WA, there were quite a few police who were members in various car clubs, my old neighbour back there who was a police officer drove a stunning 2 door STi and joined me on many cruises. On the note of police disliking "rice burners" I was at a tyre shop recently and one of the fitters there has a VY SS with a supercharged Gen III. He was at the lights and a skyline lined up to him so he gave it and got pulled over immeadiately after the lights. The copper pulled over both vehicles and goes to the guy in the commodore - Your lucky im a commodore fan, now piss off while I take this Jap shit off the road. I personally felt scared when I heard that.
