2530GT Turbo, direct fit on RB25, RB20
knore replied to supra man's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
obviously waking on a bigger and better turbo means increased performance but what about the engine.. and internals? do any other upgrades need to be done before a big HKS baby is added? -
I agree, but make it so each place has a sub-directory where people can post their expeirences with them.
-
Hardcore racing? sounds good but im still going to gavin first, after seeing the amount of happy people who took their r33s there i just cant bring myself to go anywhere else! Spooks: You have to sacrifice for cars like these mate, i sacrifice many things such as not driving all the time, parking outside, not going to places with big speedbumps etc its all worth it though, the gratification you get from your 'baby' is like no other commonwhore, thats 4 sure!
-
that sounds ok contradictive of what ive heard, but they again, ive only heard, not seen i need to get 100,000km FULL service done soon ill be going to gavin woods ide say couldnt possibly be any more props for a workshop, not that ive heard of anyway what sparks did you use? NGK platinums? I dont think ive seen your car around hey, doubt youve seen mine, just bought it havta get a brisneyland group happinin'
-
Howed you go with Fast & Furious Zoix? i live about 5 minutes away from them, havent heard too many good things about them though and the name is just a turn off for me, i mean do they have any creativity or what! what did you get done there, and how much ?
-
hmm indeed an inspiring reply daioni, ill be getting auto tech to confirm my statements and have a general look to see what other goodies she does/doesnt have i was under the impression that r33 series one had the ECU under the pasenger side footrest or somewhere abouts there i have something that looks extremely like an ECU up under my back parcel shelf about 20cm from the battery ? will take pics and try and figure out what this is, unless ofcourse its meant to be there.. anyone? what is it? attached another pic, front this time, i hate having to resize, takes away the full potential of the photo owell
-
well went to nissan again, they couldnt get one of the nuts off, thread has broken off and is just spinning only tried some snap on tools and pliers though, also they couldnt get the nuts that i needed without giving them a sample, which sucks ill just get Gavin woods auto tech to fix it when i get service done i attached pic of the studs though cheap as chips these babies
-
mine came with genuine nissan GTR mats... all round
-
thanks, i brought 4 new studs from Whynnum Manly nissan today bolts he said will be impossible to get unless i give him one as a sample, im assuming the bolts came with my wheels, im getting 100k service done at auto tech soon so ill see what they can do 1 of the bolts just wont come off .. tried pliers and everything nissan said probably have to hoist it up, undo the other bolts and try to work the other one off, then put in new studs and bolts - dont think they are chrome, they are black and have 125 written on the side Thanks for the info mate
-
INASNT: hehe your probably right, just the way the car is setup at the moment her curves look fit, and go fit ran outta time today to book car into auto tech, will call them first thing tommorow morning, my babies starting to get a little lumpy i dont think sparks or oil have been changed for atleast 10,000 so i want full 100thou service Timing belt, fuel filter, oil filter, oil change, NGK platinum sparks, radiator flush etc might get a airbox fabricated if i can too, the pod is just sitting there at the moment, no sheild just sucking in hot air from the engine not good put Optimax in today, seems to run better than Ultimate wont know for sure till this service is done, i have $500 on the dot to spend
-
I had an RACQ test done last week on the car i now own, the only real fault they could find was the the fron drivers side wheel.. 2 of the stud bolds had snapped their thread or something similar to that, i went to Whynnum Manly Nissan yesterday and sat there with the guy in service department while he talked to parts on the phone and ordered me 4 studs and 4 bolts (there only $8 for stud and $2 for bolds or other way round maybe, so i got 2 extra) he gave the parts department my VIN number, model and type etc Only question i have, is i have 17s or 18s nismo/rays mags and want to know if they come with special bolts/studs or not When you buy 18" nismo mags for example, can u just take stock rim off and put aftermarket straight on the studs there and use the bolts from stock? just curious
-
thanks will call tommorow or drive there, is only bout 30-40mins from my house had a quick attemp to get back seat out, heard something unclip on left side but couldnt get other side so ill leave it till im willing to do it properly first day i havent driven the car at all nothing wrong, i am just spreading it out, and waiting till i get service done before i do any cruising again Have to meet up with some brisbanite skyline owners soon, seen a few around here every now and then
-
Thanks mate, just read that, great thread another question ive got when we got RACQ test done they found that 2 bolts/studs on the right front wheel have snapped or lost thread or something and they wont come off i dont think, so i went to whynnum manly nissan and ordered a few sets of Studs and nuts, he told the parts centre my VIN number car type model etc just wondering if anyones done this? obviously i can get nissan to take old ones out and fit new ones too, i mean it is an import, and we all know how much local dealers hate imports, but its something as simple as the wheel studs and nuts studs were like $8 and nuts $2 or maybe the other way around ? so i grabbed 4 so i got some spare. I want to get 100thou service done this week if i can, if i can get the address for this Gavin Woods place in labrador ill drive out there have a look for myself and book it in. Need some tubes/cords/wires replaced too, not necessity, but ide like them replaced. That removing back seat thread mentions noise in back left of car, i too have this, not all the time, but sumtimes, and its not the spare (crazy think space saver!) or the jack, cos i took both out including spare shelf and cover and the noise is still there ive found a common thing with the TYPE NR teins suspensions - making a loud thump sumtimes in the back left i really want to get this fixed, also i had a look as my suspension, there are indented rings around the green tein shafts, im assuming these are the adjustable levels.. there are 4 my 2 front are on the 3rd level my 2 rear are on the 2nd level ?

Yeah its Auto didnt turn me off it too much after i had a good look and added all the extras up well the guy i brought it off said that when he got the exhaust and boost controller etc fitted, they told him it had been hi-flowed in japan (seeing he was 2nd owner of car) and the guy i bought it off didnt care too much about power etc, its only ever been on 10psi, he just wanted reliability .. mainly a work car A to B he never drove in rain unless he had to and opon further investigation i can fairly confidently say hes never done a burn out in the time he's owned the car it would justify its power too, ive been in a a few R33s and mine is by far the most torquey, most powerful, even tho its an auto, ive beat 2 other R33s that were manual turbo. So something is definately good Shes getting a little rough in the higher revs at the moment, been awhile since a service ide say, getting it done ASAP So, again, can someone give me the Number/Address of the Gavin woods auto tech place... Also, can someone tell me how to take the back seet out? I have the common Tien type NR back left 'bump' problem where i need to fit a lock nut. Yeah its missing the 400R rear, ive seen it with and without, trust me it looks alot meaner without ive had a number of people just walk up to me and give me props and ask me stuff bout the car, advantages of a skyline Im loving it, my life literally revolves around my car now
-
Oh yeh anyone seen this before on an R33 - its an option upon purchase in japan.. Nissan issued.. wire mesh type thing for the back windscreen ive never seen it before on any skyline
-
So no one knows what that cord under the seat is ? Yeah ill probably be taking her to Gavin, can someone give me number and address details/website? And also did you stay and watch while they did the 100thou service, because ide like to, just to make sure they do all the little things.. that can turn into big things if not done. Out of the 30 shots i took, this is the only one so far that ive resized and is small enough in KB to be uploaded (SA needs a 300kb max upload)
-
Japanese on the side is 'Hayabusa' fastest production moterbike in the world i think it is, guy loved em, not hard to see why I really need to get this carpark shots up, it shows the true beauty of this baby. There is no skyline anywhere around my that looks anywhere near this. Millions with GTR wing and kit, or stock, this has a distinct look. -ENGINE BAY

hehe no trade still getting the feel for her. she purrs like a tiger there i go again getting mesmerised in my car I took some REALLY NICE pics 2nite, big resolution, above ground carpark not to mention i cleaned her rite before problem is most of them are 200-250kb, anyone know where i can post them? cause they are really show-quality shots ok, few things ive noticed in the car in the 2 days ive had it.. i found a cord under drivers seat, have no idea what it is, or is for.. Ive added a pic to help, my GTSt is a series 1 too Oh by the way, the pic is upside down

Hey all, i only recently joined Skylines Australia, but have been a long time fan of the Skyline I was and still am a member of silviansw, even tho i live in QLD but it taught me alot and started inspiring me to learn more and more about all good imports and their mechanics and specifications. After nearly buying a 92' 180sx for $14,000, i thought ide never find the car i was looking for.. so i kept saving.. untill my budget increased to just over $19,000 max. Did insanely hard - insane pay work for a few months, mainly landscaping to get my funds up. Once i had enough i relised im totally out of the 'entry level' sports car range and have moved onto the more serious performance cars I automatically had a prefrence.. R33 Skyline, turbo ofcourse R32 have the straight to the point 'im a gun' racing shape, but logic is that the older the car, and especially i turbo skyline, the more things can and will go wrong. Not to mention once this new 15year import law thingy comes in the R32 range will substancially loose value and easier to obtain R34- Too Expensive. R33- Just what i wanted and just what i got. On saturday i bought 1994 R33 GTS-T for $19,000 Her features: -High Flowed turbo -3" turbo back Jasman/Jasmine exhaust -Auto Meter boost guage -Programmable Turbo Timer -Tein Coil over type NR, Super street damper, Gas filled -18" Nismo Mags -Rare-ish drift spec rear spoiler -Turbosmart boost controller.. bleed valve -Full 400R body kit -Sony Xplod head unit top of the range -Nankang (dont know spelling) low profile semi-slicks -Interior virtually perfect, except for steering wheel etc -Personalised plates.. this i love... NVY33 !!!! -Original and i mean ORIGINAL R33 GTR Mats.. all round. -Viper complete alarm system Thats bout all i can think about rite now, and there is more, but it was very well priced, car easily worth mid 20s, thanks to G. for letting this baby go to me, couldnt have got better anywhere else. Is on 99,500km now, got her on saturday. So FULL 100,000 service is coming up in the next few days, I live in Brisbane, Carindale basically. Can anyone help me out as to where they had their 100thou service done in brisbane, how it went and how much. (Including Timing belt in this service) Thanks ppl, look forward to joining cruises and getting in their for some input into the forums cheers! (I just took it to an above ground lit carpark 2nite after cleaning it to take some photos, most are too big tho so will put in upload folder)

My R33 Gts25T v. 2000 R8 Clubsport???
knore replied to pooski's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
im with the Skyline on this one, Depends fully on the way you drive the car too, But with good launch, Personally i think youll pull away at the start quite comfortably then when the R8 heavy monster gets moving it will be real close. Be sure you to post results, cant build up thread like this then not conclude!
