  1. You still on a stock bottom end??
  2. No shit, there is no reason to go to a larger stud. I got RB26 head on an RB25 block, making 800whp... no issues for years....
  3. No need to drill the block out for bigger head studs... why do people insist on doing this?
  4. Why even tap the block for bigger studs? The head is located with dowels.. who cares about a 1mm stud difference.
  5. Has anyone ever got concrete evidence that there are in fact stronger RB30 blocks? I know this thread is old, but surely some of the big names in the game could shed some light on this
  6. cleaning up the bowl area, port matching and taking out the humps can be done at home for alot cheaper than 2k
  7. Ive always checked clearance on both sides of the collars flat spots, if its off i take out the pins and center it with feeler guages.
  8. Haha, seriously? why on earth would that make any difference?
  9. 900 ft lbs torque?? Must be a different measure??
  10. I have always had alot of trouble with Idle on the haltech, there are so many god damn adjustments!!
  11. RB25 S1 7.8 ish compression Weisco pistons Eagle rods tomei 260 10.25 cams Endyn Ported RB26 head Gutted ITBs and converted to single throttle body FID 1200cc injectors pump E85 Haltech PP 6766 precision JB 1.00 divided T4 AFI turbo manifold 3.5 in DP / 4 in exhaust With some boost control tuning up top and more revs it would have made a bit more, but it was completely out of fuel on the dyno, i normally rev it to 8500rpm car trapped 136mph making about 630-640whp weighs 3250
  12. The S15 Diff uses the bigger spline output shafts like the GTR I have a stock R32 GTR rear end as well as a US spec S14 rear end with the S15 helical diff installed.. I have compared both output shafts from R32GTR and S15 there within 1-2mm of each other.. measureing from inside base of shaft to C clipe groove.. there are the same spline count/diameter.. When installed into each other they both feel like they engage the C clip in each diff.. Im thinking about using the helical S15 diff and use the GTR outputs for the bigger/better axles.
  13. what was the bearing clearance set at? What bearings where used? What did Rob see that might have caused an issue?
  14. i have about a 300 rpm fluctuation in the higher RPMS on my RB25/26 but im not going to worry about it much as fuel curve stays steady and timing is within a half a degree or so around those columns, my only fear would be it over revving
  15. Still looking...
  16. I'd just practice on flat weld some t joints play, if you weld aluminum it will require alot more amperage... start with 3/32 tungsten and filler rod... and just start welding away...
  17. Isnt there a special application just for Neo's?
  18. Ive always been a fan of the iriduims, they are spendy but they do last considerably longer... cars seems to idle smoother as well...
  19. start with a compression test...
  20. Sounds like an exhuast sheild or something of the sort... vary with RPM or anything of the sort?
  21. Check out the haltech platinum pro... for pretty much the same price as vipec... it has 6 igniton outputs instead of 4.... fully sequential
