Thanks, the kids a doing fine, luckily they were asleep when it hit. The wife and I however are still pretty sore. Yet after all this we are looking forward to the event next year. Despite the $5000 estimated damage - insurance covered - the worst this is going to be the 2-3 week wait to get the car back when it goes in to get fixed, and all this whilst trying to move home too!! Cruise on everyone.

A 5 year old can drive a car, it takes head smarts to drive wisely. Having my licence for 16 years didnt stop the Hilux parking up my rear while I was stationary for 5 seconds. My job requires me to drive all over the state but i still wouldnt say i have learnt enought to be a good driver - maybe after a defensive driving course i would understand how to conrtol a vehicle in abnormal situations, but it still wont stop bad things from happening, a key part of being a good driver is understanding your surroundings, not encasing yourself in a shell and blaming others for your incompetence. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you came back next year, hopefully with a more relaxed approach. And that goes out to all those who drive in a risky manner, sorry you had to be the sacrificial lamb there MAD R33

Ha Ha should get it stickered too. Funny thin is at the start point walking around I was thinking - "someone will break down, some will get lost, someone will have an accident"... liked it better last year when I got lost.

So, a Hilux thought it was K.I.T.T and I was the Knight Rider Trailer Truck with the door down...now I am starting the search for a rear bumper. Had the Dolphin one, but Im open to whatever is out there - the decision to buy is pending insurance claim being approved so just looking for now. Cheers for any help.

She was very upset about it all - seems to be just one of those accidents, but from the outcome it has been the type you want if you had a choice... erm.. yeah?? Once we knew everyone was ok, didn't matter too much about the rest. Still feel it was a great night out.

that was me Luckily everyone is ok - but a little sore. Our main concern was our 2 girls - both under 3 but they seem to be better than us, probably because they were asleep. As for the car - no windows broke, all lights still work and we got home without any troubles. Rear tailgate and bumper are dead, don't see finding another dolphin rear bar as an easy task though. Getting quotes tomorrow. More pics to follow

White C34 with dolphin front bar in Kent Town - reminds me of the bar mine came with - very nice.

So, took it to the mechanic - needed brakes done - and they said the noise may be power steering needing a flush, either that or its the pump. Tightened belts a little but noise still there. Now to research how to DIY power steer flush...
