Quick q - does the cas on a series 2 require the cas seal?

I'd be in it, if the dates clear...

There seems to be a ton of the stuff on eBay - just pit in chrome strip.

There are only 3, maybe 4 I know of.

True - when i worked in the paintshop at Mitsubishi we were told it takes over 6 months for the guys in head quarters Japan to make a decision on a paint colour.

Hmm, I was hoping the engineers back in Japan would have considered this problem occurring during the Cherry Blossom Festival and making it possible to open the sunroof with the blind closed.

So after leaving the sunroof ajar during the warm weather that has now come our way, the top of the sunroof blind is now delightfully covered in little flowers... Just wondering if there is there a way to have the sunroof glass open (front one) with the blind closed so that it will be easier to clean, otherwise I will just have to fiddle around with the ant-eater like attachment for the vacuum cleaner and hope for the best. Well, I can say without a doubt it isnt the CAS. Just tried a brand new one and the noise still exists - although not as bad. Worst thing is it only does it from cold - which means I have to wait until the weekend to try the hose trick.

Look up Fgjoh in this forum - he makes them - he also does the sub enclosures and dash mounted gauge pods - very good job.

Oops - just realised it was weekend gone - guess thats what happens when you spend weekends preparing a house for open inspections - hopefully sell it soon.

I would assume it should still be there, maybe a new one would help

Was making the noise before and after had all the belts replaced. may be worth another check though. Cheers

Hmm, put in a 2nd hand cas - noise reduced considerably, but now its getting just as noisy. Strange thin is that there is no noise from starting engine for up to 15 seconds, then it starts up, sometimes goes quiet for a second or two, then goes away as car warms up. Thinking of just buying a new cas to eliminate that part as suspect. May even record the sound to get further opinions.
