Don't take any notice of the website, my car is being prepped at his workshop and I can assure you the 9 won't be making another appearance with him behind the wheel. Think we are on a winner thanks Blaise, bit of fine tuning happening at the moment mate and by all reports it looks like it will be successful. Just got to put a new clutch in next week and a quick test at the track, then we should be good to go. Have a bit more power and hopefully a bit more grip than last time, if we can run similar times to last event I will be stoked....although the off is still fresh in my mind (and wallet) so I will be keeping the limits in check!

The snoozer that took out Em mate, although I heard that car requires quite a bit of love to make it eligible this time round.

Tony Warren, Matt Rickards 1/2 for Em is my prediction. Top 5 will be hard to call though, Ayers, O'keefe, Hendy will all no doubt give it a good shake. The bloke in the porka from High country is running I hear, think he might find it a bit tougher on our goat tracks compared to the Victorian roads.

How long was a 9v battery lasting in the Peltor Ben? I have an FMT200, great so far apart from the feedback similar to Snowy's video, it's hardwired to the car but I was going to try it on a 9v battery to try and eliminate the interference....bit hesitant to do so if battery life is an issue.

Couple of white rs Evo 7's in the field might not make it a walk in the park. Tony Warren will be a serious contender and I believe Mr Rickards car has had a fairly extensive overhaul, with reliability on his side he will also give it a good shake.

He broke the stage record by 19 seconds for Pelverata last year, then shaved another 2 seconds off least year's effort with that run. Amazing effort to do that on a goat track like Pelverata!

Hi Liam, best of luck to you and your dad again mate. I live in the area that Wrest point is run, after competing in High country it is actually embarrassing how bad the roads are down here compared to Victoria. Roadworks are currently underway on most stages at the moment to patch pothles etc but be prepared for a lot of bumps and a lot more gravel on the road than there was at THC. Lucaston,Dover and Oyster Cove are all in great condition, The Airwalk was in a very bad state but has just been patched (with what looks like a much better repair than last year and will hopefully hold out for the 4 runs over it), Cygnet is bumpy and has a few holes at the start of the stage, Longley and Woodbridge are rough but the road surface is in fairly good order and as usual Pelverata will take the cake for being the most insanely bumpy stage of the event! The surface it's self is not too bad but the bumps are shocking for nearly 3/4 of the stage. Good luck to everyone competing and see you all in a few days

Sorry Dan my bad! I will slink away to the ego stroking forum now! Although must say had a great weekend and a real pleasure meeting quite a few members from here. We improved tenfold for our second only rally and look forward to catching up with you all again for wrest point.

Hahaha! he told me on the boat Monday night that he caught you guys at the last part of the stage, didn't pass you but caught you? and that Adam asked him at the bar on Sunday where he had come from!

He said the exact same thing about you guys when he caught you on big river He was very lucky as the car didn't suffer any major damage, new coolers, radiator, support panel, control arm,steering rack and front bar. Fairly sure it will be ready for TWP, he was fairly upbeat about throwing it away so close to the line as leading showroom by such a big margin did not seem to hold any great value for him as a better result overall was his goal. After looking at his tyres I would have been worried about driving up the mountain at the speed limit let alone pushing like he did.
