  4. So i've finally managed to start capturing gameplay through the Avermedia AVerTV HD Capture card, must say the quality isnt bad. it says recording up to 1080p but the quality doesnt look like 1080p to me. but good quality none the less. here is a short .flv of one of the GT all stars races http://www.megaupload.com/?d=88EJHYK5 What car are people using to get past the Gt all stars championship? originally i was using the R34 GTR, then tried the Nismo/Xanavi R35 JGTC/SUPER GT car. The R34 couldnt heep up no matter what i did, the R35 was a loosing battle aswell. so after a reccomendation from a few friends overseas to try the vette Z06 and race prep the thing. it worked currently on A-spec level 21.5 but b-level isnt worth wasting my time on just yet do many of you race it online yet?
  5. what is the enduro's in ? the extreme level?
  6. Dam this game is addictive. spent just about all day on this today. i've also found out how to record gameplay footage, you need to use the composite ( red, yellow, white) cables, and plug it into a DVD recorder. record what you want. then just finalize the disc, shove it in the PC and record it again using fraps. then edit in your video editing software and output it in the file type you want. The quality is deffinatly not the best ( dam composite cables). and its a bit of screwing around aswell. but it works and is watchable.
  7. it may be harsh.. but its true.

    Jtcc/jgtc/super Gt

Righto, so i'm going back over to Japan this time next year. Last year i was lucky enough to see one of the R35 GTR Super GT cars on display at a nissan dealer in the yokohama area After seeing one of them up close and personal i want to see them at Suzuka or fuji. but i have no idea on how to get to the track/s, nor how i go about getting in there. camera's allowed? is it a pay in and go or you have to reserve tickets? e.t.c Anyone have some insight?
  9. i've pre-ordered this back in june, and was lucky enough to recieve a beta ticket aswell. its deffinatly going to be good.

    Going To Japan

if you go there on a sunday there is usually cosplayers around in shinjuku... if your into that sort of thing. but you can easily catch a train to akiba ( akihabara) and check out some of the electronics, nakano if your into Japanese anime/ nerd stuff, shinagawa, shibuya e.t.c.
  19. The DVD player in the car can only read the DVD's for navigation i think. they cant play normal DVD's (i.e movies e.t.c)

    Going To Japan

might get lucky with the tsukuba super lap. i know its on during winter but cant remember the dates. and the SUPER GT at fuji speedway is on the 13th-14th so close.. yet so far away.
  22. not sure if any of you have heard about this game or not, but its deffinatly addictive. The aim of this game is to win the race ( obiously) while the other cars behind you use power plays to try and take out out. These power plays range from tanker trucks explosions, to getting mining trucks dropped on you, bridges collapsing, airplanes landing on top of you. Offline isnt too bad, but the real fun is to be had online with this game. especially if your running something like teamspeak or ventrilo with the people that your racing against. I've uploaded a video last week to share with the other people that i race with, but feel free to check it out the file is only around 73MB in filesize. .flv format. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AN0MCQ1T * note: some language in this video
  23. Hello all, Recently i've had the urge to upgrade my current XFX GTX 285 black edition card to either the GTX 470 or GTX 480. as stated in another thread, i'm quite weary about touching new cards because of my expierences with my previous XFX GTX 285 black edition ( Fried because of constant 90*c + temps). my current 285 has a aftermarket air cooling kit fitted that has kept the temps to around the 42*c idle and 49-50*c temp when i'm playing my games. I'm curious to see if anyone has one of these cards fitted, and what your opinon of them are, what i'm more interested in is what temp they run at idle and temps when they are under load. i dont want to change cards, and then end up having the same problem as my previous fried card later on down the track. i dont have the money, nor patience for that. i'm not interesed in ATI cards at all. so please dont ask me to change from nvidia .
  24. Theres a GTX 260 896MB on PC case gear for smack bang on the $200 mark. also personally i dont touch the newer cards unless theres some form of aftermarket cooling ( be in air/water) available for them. After killing a GTX285 card because of the constant 90*c temps. i've learnt my lesson the hard way.
