  1. check that you have good coolant flow through the heater core itself ie core not blocked?
  2. i think they look a bit like a maxima . . .but they arent TOO bad for looks,the 33 is as common as hell and that lets them down
  3. assuming it still has the original RB30E in it? if so i would be looking very closely at the AFM
  4. could be one of three things, a slipping belt (Most likely) an out of alignment pulley, dead bearings in the alternator
  5. older Ethyl glycol blends (nissan genuine) takes ages to break down and is toxic in the meantime

  8. The 20det and 25det hoses are different sizes(20det smaller)at least on the front breather anyway
  9. keeplooking on ebay, i got the steering wheel and hicas friendly boss kit off ebay for my type M(,my original wheel sun damaged) havnt fitted it yet tho,you will end up paying more than a $100 , the light on the dash means there is a fault somewhere in the hicas system
  10. ah cool . . . are you using the auto ECU that you got with the motor? could be causing issues if you are?

  12. go the genuine part if you can, the hose you can get from hoseco may or may not posses the heat resistance that you need. . .as a GUIDE i paid $18 for a breather (from rocker cover to rocker cover) hose for a R32 RB20DET from NISSAN. . .yes you can use heater hose as a very temp repair but why not fix it properly the first time?
  13. the fuse box is in japanese but for $7 you can get an english translation sticker from ebay and overlay the japenese symbols
  14. Hi Jonno, i know its off topic but why did you get rid of your RB30DET and put a AUTO RB25DET neo into your HR31?
  15. heater hose wont work as the vapours going out of the rocker covers are hot and the hose will crap itself, as the hose is shaped your best bet is to get one from nissan,or you COULD get one from hoseco but you may have to buy a metre of it unless they have some leftover off cuts
  16. IF the fuse is in the same place as the GT-t then it will be in the fuse box in the car. . .15amp, bottom right side of fuse box
  17. If its been sitting around for a while its possible for the fuel to have gone a bit stale and cause a few running problems, you may just need to fill it up with fresh tank of premium

Hi guys, got a pile of Y31 bits that i want to offload all from a Y31 with a VG30DET, heres what i have- intake manifold with twin TBs and TPS,6 injectors with rail, 6 coil packs (they work fine)engine wiring loom, most of the dashboard wiring loom inc fuse box and factory TV screen,digital dash instruments ecu, afm,factory aircleaner box and a few other bits and bobs which escape my memory and im too lazy to check in garage, $200 (or best offer)for the lot CBF separating, all the stuffs in Perth but can chuck in a big box and post at buyers expense, contactable by PM if your interested
  19. turn up your radio when you hear these noises so that you cant hear them anymore? seriously tho need more info what are you doing in the car when it makes the noise?
  20. fark, makes me want to get rid of my S1 and get a S2. . . although you could close the gap tween the two by fitting a 3 inch exhaust (cheap enough)
  21. can you trim off some plastic on a part of the bar that you wont be able to see and use that as a filler?
  22. i had "triangle" tyres on my 34 as part of compliance. . . triangle by name and nature- ferkn horrible

  24. it shouldve been replaced but maybe the bearing seemed fine when the clutch was done?its a gearbox off job to swap the bearing out so expect the major part of what you pay to be labour. . .
