  1. Wangan, not smart even for you.... $9,000, why not charge that much.... They certainly are not selling cars for the love, no one does.
  2. Tangles. If you think a tattoo will keep things going and you can afford one, do it!

  3. chunklover69, u ok man?

  4. Off beat, but highly amusing... Good work!

  5. You don't look like a Adzmax, so i shall name you Toby.

  6. Whats uuuuuppppp?

P.S. Your personal photo scares me, a little.

  7. Read the thread below, its just a walk-through on how to inspect and what to look for. http://www.skylinesa...showtopic=35129 As for price on the NA r33 manuals, i have no idea.
  8. Spigot, thrust/throw-out bearing take your pick.... Sorry you did say the magic word "Gambling" This noise doesn't mean that the bearing is stuffed, as it may just need some lube.
  9. To answer your question about holding the clutch in... It is always a good idea not to hold the clutch in for longer than needed. (Generally speaking in the short term, damage probably will not be done.)
  10. What kind of clutch? My clutch did this a while back(smell that is) and after about 2-3 days the smell went away. (Uprated pressure plate is all i am running) If you are running a organic plate they tend to not like being treated like that. Skids eh.... Do some burnouts, etc and this is what happens.
  11. Ok, i will go out on a limb and say it is a belt/pulley or bearing. If not, please don't sue me? Personally, i have standard ECU and dislike piggy back controllers except for boost. GL, tammy. When/if you find the problem post back here.
  12. God, if Vince's 411 atw/kw GTR could be stolen the sky is the limit. Just sayin. Will keep an eye out tho.
  13. Yea, steve i get the idea. What i don't know could literally fill a "insert size here" warehouse.
  14. Madaz, they were pretty good about the whole thing but i remembered what i read sometime ago about these things. Which was not to offer too much info about anything in or on the car. So that was you scandyflick out the front of Mayne Pharma that time? Its on the camera's man and she was actually 45!
  15. Some how this trick saved my a** tonight when the cops were doing their "part 2" at a RBT tonight. They were after a atmo BOV and they watched it while they got me to rev the hell out of the engine. All they heard was tsuuuuuuu from the turbo, then they were like that's ok! Sometimes i feel sorry for them as they obviously did not have a clue, twice they looked over the engine bay before they asked "Where is the Blow off valve?" My god they over looked the boost controller and solenoid, FMIC, POD, Exhaust, rim spacers, etc. Makes me think i could of had a high mount turbo and NOS kit and they still would just be after a BOV.
  16. Chill out Kenna802 That does sound fairly weird, and no mine does not sound like that at all. Would not drive the car until the day it was going to see the mechanic / tuner, just to be on the safe side(esp if its knocking).
  17. Now that i think about it.... the sound, it could just be noisy injectors/tappets etc. As mine has had that for some time but it is not overly loud/noticeable and i only hear it occasionally in neutral or sometimes 1st. EDIT: Yes a video could help.
  18. If you are going to get a nistune next week probably get the tuner to check it out. I take it you already have a reputable tuner for that? If not just go into the state forum that is applicable to you and click on the workshop thread and ring around. Sorry i am not much help. GL EDIT: If you are sure that it is pinging/knocking, probably don't drive around in it too much until has been fixed. But it sounds like you know that anyway.
  19. 266 in the link looks promising. http://www.type2.com/library/chemicals/loctite.htm Have a read and gauge for yourself. IMO i would be talking to a mechanic that regularly changes clutches / flywheels as their business depends upon it not stuffing up.
  20. Some work is involved to remove turbo, and a key difference between a turbo and N/A is compression ratios. Ultimately buy a N/A one, it will also be cheaper in the long haul.
