  1. Are you sure you aren't driving a forklift or loader???
  2. TL:DR, Iron chef for pres, sorry Sled. Tangles for V-P. Have wanted to be a member for a long time like many others in SA but there is no I.Q. test, (etc or internet I.Q. test) so i will remain on the outer until it happens.... LOL Too many cork heads lately if you know what i mean..... ((5 x 28 day impounds) + 1 to be caught).....
  3. Hey Toshi, any chance you will be coming to SA in the next 6-12months and do aftermarket tuning???
  4. IMO you may as well replace them all. Then it is something that you don't have to worry about for a number of years.... EDIT: as the coil packs are all well aged it is now just a waiting game until the others go.
  5. As said the motor biker is a idiot, but it would be interesting to see what a police review would say about the constables actions in the chase.... Remember people, give way to emergency vehicles but "only when safe to do so".
  6. No, i am using the original nissan ones from when the car was made...
  7. Nah, they have been designed and made to withstand heat, etc. My coil packs are 15 years old and haven't missed a beat...... yet.
  8. Don't put silicon between the plugs and coils...
  9. How so, grasshopper?? Normally you would silicon old coil packs, if they were starting to degrade and causing misfire... EDIT: but that is just a temporary fix
  10. Being different to the turbo model, i would say that you have to disconnect/ remove the things you marked in red.... In terms of skill, not much is required. Just make sure you remember where everything goes! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/122284-r34-replacing-spark-plugs-on-neo6-rb20de-rb25de/page__p__5311921__hl__coil+packs__fromsearch__1#entry5311921 Found the above thread it should answer any and all questions....
  11. No, more like where i have circled in red. The x over pipe may be in the way also and there could also be another cover over the valley itself. EDIT: found a pic of a neo turbo with covers off. Same stuff, slightly different bucket.
  12. yes the cover will have to come off, the coil packs should be in the valley between the cam covers/cams.
  13. Probably best to start a thread in general maintenance or force induction section for this one as i have no idea about vg30's. Found this post although i am not sure if it helps... http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__4131591 GL and sorry i couldn't be of more useful.
  14. Welcome. How much oil??? Was the turbo making any noises? If you believe it is stuffed then ring around, i don't know what state you live in but the are specialized wreckers. Have you tried calling any of the wreckers listed for your particular state?
  15. I am inclined to say coils, etc as R&R would probably not make it misfire... From what i can tell sometimes coils can look ok but still be starting to deteriorate. Not sure if you have the ignitor separate from the coils, but that could also be a problem. Sorry i cant help more.
  16. The safe boost level that you are probably referring to, is if you have standard turbo.... After that is replaced with after-market turbo(steel wheels) the problem is now safe power level for engine output (kw). May as well tune & run 20psi(or whatever the highest boost efficiency range is) , then use your right foot to achieve desired boost.
  17. So Clutch, what are you thinking of moving up to?????
  18. Sorry Big Fella but watch it closely and you will see the seat belt....
  19. Watch out brah, i think Clutch(Matt) likes you.....

  20. Depends on what your goal is but... IMO Bilstein FTW, with slightly lowered springs. (King, whiteline, etc) Unless you like the idea of fully adjustable suspension....
