  1. Picked up my car yesterday from Trent and I saw your beast sitting there half naked My friends were there with me and they just stared at the car and couldn't find word to express their feelings... Can't wait to see those in carbon
  2. The title says it all. Thanks to Trent and the guys at Mercury Motorsport with the full exhaust upgrade and the install of the Cobb AP. The car gain about 50kw and it drives alot smoother and better than a stock car. No more cranking sound with gear shifting A photo taken with my HTC phone of the exhaust of the car while it's at the car wash. That blue burning look from the exhaust is just too sexy...
  3. Send my car to the boys at merc on monday and saw your beast!! Trent was talking about your bigger plan that was going to happen soon. Never thought it was this soon though Will be going up to pick up my car today. Hopefully will see you there btw: think you mean Cobb AP instead of Cabb AP?
  4. On page 1, Martin mention it's LC2. But I'll give the guys at Nissan GC a call.
  5. gave it a try last night with 3 R on. It didn't got pass 2500 rpm and was climbing up slowly... guess i failed... The car did dash out after 0.5 sec later when i release my brake padel...
  6. that is great news!! I'll give my gtr a try later....
  7. feels like we (09 model owners) are lab rats...i'm just saying. Thanks for the info again domino. you and the other really helped me out
  8. Thanks fungoolie and LSX-438. I think my main question have been answered. To sum up, if I have it correctly: Australian model GTR (2009) comes in with LC2 and is able to do Launch Start with VDC on.
  9. @Martin: Thanks for the info, but i think LSX have had his box tunned where he stated on the bottom post. @LSX-438: So what you're saying is your LC2 system is relearn not by nissan?
  10. Thanks Domino_z. Guess I'll ask them tomorrow if the 09 owners are going to grab an update.
  11. thanks domino_z! just wondering if you know the 2009 models are LC1 or LC2?
  12. Will give them a call tomorrow. But from what he said previously, He just said, "we can't use it". Also, do you know if we are using LC1 or LC2? And is it possible to use Launch Start when VDC is on? or if VDC is in R mode?
  13. @Martin Donnon So your saying, all Australian 2009 models uses LC2? @LSX-438 I haven't had a chance to test the Launch Control system. Ever since I've read about the warranty issue and the problem with the gear box, I never dared to give it a try. Also because the GC GTR Sales Rep said that we aren't allow to use it, I've never even used it once... If Aus 2009 are using LC2, how does the warranty work? Thanks for reading again
  14. Hi forum, For the pass few months, I've been talking to Gold Coast Nissan's GTR Sales Manager, regarding to the problem with 2009 GTR's Launch Control Problem. As many of us know, people in the States have got upgrades from LC1 system to LC2. Source: http://www.2009gtr.c...-over-gt-r.html Each time I call the Nissan Dealer in GC, all he said was "no, we still can't do Launch Start". Personally, i think that having the Launch Start system and not being able to use it is just sad. Does anyone in Australia actually got an upgrade for the 2009 series car? Or if anyone got any info whether we might or might not get an upgrade? Thanks for reading. ps: I know there have been a couple of these post flying around in the forum, but none have been updated.
  15. Everything is coming nicely. Good job Chris.
  16. Will drop by before going to Brisbane that day. Hopefully it won't rain.
  17. @Gimps: hm... tbh, i don't really know where to start. I've been following a thread that handbrake started with his R35 mod and it looks kinda awsome. Would like to achive something like that in a long term period.... @HEKT1K: tbh, maybe i don't really know how to play with the r35 yet... i kinda got wooped by a fully mod 350z...(plus i was too afraid of the cops...)
  18. awsome drive dude! too bad i can't be there today. Hope to be there on the next one. what's the date for the next one?
  19. Thank you for your reply.... So from what I'm getting, an ecu upgrade is the starting point for modding yes? Cause from what i've been reading on another forum, an aftermarket ecu + a y pipe seems to be able to increase the horse power abit... but then, it's always down to factory warenty.... Still, thanks alot for your reply and i'll give it a think about it...
  20. Thanks for your reply Hopefully i'll find a good car shop around in gold coast...
  21. Hi people, I'm very new with car mods, dyno testing ...etc and so i got some question to ask. (sorry if i'm posting this at the wrong place). What is dyno tuning? Do i need to purchase any special parts for it? How much does it normally cost? Also, where would be a good place to read up about car mods (for beginners). Thanks for reading... Eric
  22. +1
