  1. Love this thread... been meaning to put something up. Changed my brake rotors, brake lines, brake fluid a few weeks ago... these came in handy. $10 - bleeder kit. And I was a few jack stands short so a few bricks took care of that.
  2. If your insurance will pay you market value and also let you keep the car, honestly, I would be hoping for a write-off. I know there's sentimental value and all that but strategically, you could be better off.
  3. If you're not interested in big power and as you say just interested in "Getting into a nice car" then its obvious to go for visual rather than performance. Get a nice body kit + nice light set of rims + good tyres + exhaust for some sound + new paint job + nice bucket seats + new steering wheel + gear knob + lowered suspension + new slotted brake rotors + braded brake lines + good brake pads + a nice engine tune ... there's your nice car.
  4. Just took off my Axis 19" shoes and put back the stock 18" originals. I drive everyday and I can't affiord to keep replacing pinctured tyres before a track day... My intentions are to make these 19" rims dedicated track rims. Originally I was going to use the originals as track rims but I think they're too thin (8 wide - currently wearing 235s all around)... but I could be wrong. Let me know. My question is what are the Pros and Cons if I run: - 19" x 8.5-9" (F) and 19" x 10" ® OR sell these to get - 18" x 8.5-9" (F) and 18" x 10" ® OR - My stocky rims Obviously Cost is a factor and also looks wise (for me) would be the 19"s but what else? Trackwise\Performance-wise?? I know there are some smart engineers in here that like to talk physics, so if it helps throw it in there.
  5. On Topic: Honestly, I havent seen even one of these mobile cameras. I've seen more parked police with radars but no big Ford Territory's as was romoured. Off-Topic: Last week some crazy copper on Parramatta Road crossed two lanes with his head down in peak hour traffic holding a radar (which looked like a gun) and no stop sign. So he gave everyone (me) an impression he was just crossing the road. When he gets to the middle of my lane he decides to look up and stop two whole lanes. Mind you I was still doing 70kph and he was less than 50m away. I shit my pants. I thought he was busting me. I was in the inner lane. He let through two cars on the outer lane then busted a dude in a blue Mitsubishi in the outer lane. Phew!... But come on!! The cop could of caused a pile up and put himself in danger! He could of at least flagged everyone to slow down first! So yeah. Havent seen any mobile cameras: knock on wood.
  6. All good. Decided to change it to new. But resealed the old one and stored it for spares. Will just have to skip a few meals for the next couple of weeks.
  7. Yeah, I kinda already knew the answers I was gonna get. But just so bloody expensive. Was hoping someone would suggest a new high-tech seal or something Thanks!

If I've missed it, please reply with link... or just tell me the gains they experienced with this mod and\or combined NA mods. Would be great help and would help keep me off the Force Induction route. Thanks!

Spark plugs Brake Fluids Radiator Coolant Can anyone tell me: - Where you guys\gals get your parts from? Preferably in NSW, Sydney - What brand you buy & why? - Part numbers (if you have them) - How much you paid for it? Hopefully this topic can help some other people that want to service their own V35's Im really just interested in the Brake Pads details but thought I might as well explore all the items on my list. 22. Hi All, I have a 2004 V35 Coupe and I want to change my steering wheel but a friend told me that it's illegal to change the steering wheel of a car that has standard airbag. Is this true?
