  1. Decided to go with the 32 gtst rims now all I got to do is find them prob ring round the wreckers today and pay them a visit.
  2. yeah mate am an expert on it now, had to track down a hub that was literally non existant, so had to do some research into all the possiblities about where my hub could have come from, and where I could get a new one.
  3. Just wondering if anyone has any pics of a cefiro with R32 or R33 gtst rims on it. got to get some drifting rims for the rear. Or has anyone got any suggestions for other types, ideally would be R33 GTR rims or 32 gtr but a little expensive.
  4. cool car man, hope to see it round some time. welcome to the fro club
  5. Just for all your info, I have a the moog ball joints that will allow you to just press them in rather than replace the whole lower conroll arm (which are expensive). I also have two s14 spindles, -1 x s14 caliper. -1 x s15 caliper. - 2 x brake rotors -1x left hand hub. all for sale if you want em.
  6. this is something I encountered recenlty, unless your car has 5 stud hub then more than likley they wont fit on. The wheels you have on atm are prob 4 stud, and the s14 are 5 stud. You need to either find a new bearing somewhere, cantact either nissan ask for a s13 hub bearing, even someone like midas. If they are 5 stud already then it is more than likley a s14 upgrade. see how you go
  7. I dont think the rb20 is bad at all, I have a few mods on my car and have taken out ss commodores, modified wrx etc, I have a fmic, 3in from turbo, hks2535, boost running about 1.2bar on a tuned rom. I would say you are half the way there just need turbo and tune. should be able to make around 200+rwkw. thats nothing to smirk at. I recon you can tune your car with your mods for around 160rwkw, if you up the boost. thats around 220kw at the flywheel, pushing a car weighing around 1360kg is not to bad. power to weight of 6.1 kg/kw. you are going to be competitive against most cars you will run against, such as ss commodore, xr6, etc. its definitley worth getting a run on a dyno if you can and see how you go but as ceffo said no more than 14psi seems to be the general concencus of the limit of your turbo.
  8. limited to 180kmh, I know you can cut the wire although not sure which one it is on the cefiro may be different. rev limiter @7600 not sure on boost cut mayny 14psi, I think most people will agree that its more your standard turbo going to crap itself if you run much more than 14psi through it as its got a ceramic exhaust turbine which is fragile. but speak to people and see what they say. I think for $3000, you can almost get away with a new turbo and ecu remapped which will better your chances at running more boost and up your power a heck of a lot. but not everyones got $3k to blow in one hit.
  9. have a look in the cefiro rides and my car is in there as cefiro, see if you like it and we can possibly arrange something, I want to make sure that I can spray them up, as my paint job is a white with a gold pearl in it so I dont wan to get it and not be ablt to spray them up. I can maybe get the rear bar from, forgotton the name of the other place but see how we go. I want to wait till I get my tax back (should be soon).
  10. I picked up a manifold-turbo gasket from advan out at silverwater and I am sure the had more out there, if you can be bothered geting out there cheaper it was $20.
  11. sorry guys I couldnt make it, ended up going up the coast on sat arvo. looks like it was fun. hope you can do it again soon. would have been good to see some other cefros on the road. In regards to the autec kit if somone does it then I too will be interested in grabbing one. I have one at the moment but the rear has a crack in it, so dont know if it will be good for copying.
  12. hey riverside, is that purple cefiro at the start of the thread from the drift day at oren park here in sydney, he ripped it up, is that you???
  13. I will come although I wont be able to get there untill about 12 I would think maybe later. Have to see how I go and I will bring Russ GTR along as hes immobile atm. I think it was ceffo who left his no at the start of this thread so I will message you and see where you guys are.
  14. lane cove is not too far from me either, that sounds good to me.
  15. I took it out and also had the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo replaced as it broke, and have got a definite increase in power. More than likley I had leaking gas from the broken gasket costing me power. But I have noticed that the strange loud hissing noise gone obviously due to the removal of the device in the intake pipe. anyhow I am happy with how the cars running now.
  16. here are some pics, its super easy, can spray it black or whatever, only prob is that I tend to find a bit more dust in the engine bay mostly around the filter. I think I will try and build a lid for my partician so it will just restrict it to the filter, will see how I go, got many projects I have to do.
  17. Can I ask, just wondering on how you will go from an 80mm initially to the turbo intake of 60mm. will it be gradual or just put a narrowing at the mouth of the turbo. I am just thinking about making my own up, not trying to be cheap, but if the R32 and the cefiro are totally different then maybe easier to make my own up if I get the time, and the motivation.
  18. Already removed it, I am running 1.2 bar at the moment so I cant see it helping, just hindering. Anyhow thats just what I believe, I just think if it does work it would be on standard boost levels and if it works well then why dont they continue on with it with other later model cars or aftermarket ones being sold. Arrogent attitue to have, but anyhow can always put it back it if there are any dramas.
  19. well that means its a no no for me then unfortunatly, maybe I will buy a welder and some aluminium/ steel pipes and make my own at a cost of only about $1000 well worth it ha ha. The restrictor I dont know cant be doing any good in there spose I should rip it out. I think its only on cefiros and laurels rb20 to restrict power dont know why though.
  20. Hey bass junky here is a pic of mine, should be the same as the R32 although no BOV pipe. I was just going to plug that one off and prob eventually get an oil catch can instead of recirculating it through j pipe, as I found a bit of oil residue in the intake pipe. lucky I took it off and had a perve as I found a restrictor in there as well. Doeas it look the same as the R32 (size etc) here are some pics
  21. This is a pic of what I found in the intake of my cefiro. Its gotta come out right. Anyone else round this in theirs.
  22. i have an A31 cefiro, cant see it being too different from the R32 skyline, RB20 etc.
  23. yeah will post some pics maybe tomorrow arvo if I get the chance. The good thing about yours is thats its flexible, nice to have a combination of the two to get it right.
  24. I made a good one out of PVC piping. 80mm all you need is a 90 degree turn I used 2 x 45 degree from memory. Easy as sit exactly behind the no plate so cant really even see it. Spose it depends on your front bar.
  25. Just quickly maybe if there was a small silicone join then that would give the filter alot more mounting positions and give you a wider range of applications from the one design. just a thought.
