  1. G'day mate! Yes we did that as well. Not just the brake rotor moves around, everything does. Something is defintly wrong And also my rotor is locked on to my studs perfectly, no play between the studs and the rotor itself! Perhaps i should have been more specific. Cheers tho! Willis.
  2. I think cata is a flop.. WoW is dead
  3. Awesome, glad you got your issue fixed. Thanks for your input!
  4. Also keen to know this!
  5. You worried at all about your bottom end? Do you drive your car hard / track days often?
  6. Ok well abit of an update. Upon driving my car to Brisbane from Wagga Wagga NSW for my Christmas holidays i noticed that my steering issue is worse. A mate and myself jacked her up and pulled the wheels off the fronts, to have abit of a look and see if we can see anything that looked out of place. First check we did was grabbing the brake rotor and gave it a good wiggle. I would have to say it had between 3 and 7mm of play .. indicating that the upper ball joint / something in that general area was completely rooted. As far as i know there is supposed to be ZERO play. We also checked the otherside, there was a tiny bit of play there as well but no-where near as much. It all makes seems to make sense to me, the RH ball joint had the most play .. and my steering issue was when turning left. The RH side would load up under the weight of the car pushing outwards, and at a certain point the force would be great enough to allow the wheel / rotor / ball joint to "shift / play" mid-courner .. increasing the amount of camber on the outer wheel resulting in an increase of the already instructed turn. I'm not sure if that is entirely correct (feel free to correct me) however i think it explains my cournering issue perfectly. I had to leave my car in Brisbane though due to the floods, so i won't be able to get the ball joint fixed for another 2 months or so to confirm my prognosis. But i thought i'd update this thread to let anyone else who has similar issue's know what / where to check Thanks BWRGTR, as your suggestion was dead on. I just diddn't think it would have been something so obvious.. my mechanic couldn't find it (isn't it the first thing to check, play in the rotor / wheel that is) .. so i think from now on i'll try and fault find my own problems! Hope this helps. Willis.
  7. Thanks alot justright, i will have to get this checked out ASAP then. Congrats on fixing your problem, and cheers for sharing that info with me. Hopefully it will fix my issue as well! Enjoy!
  8. What's the tape on there for? Just curious, it's not damaged at all behind there is it? And just with the scrape? Is it dented slightly as well as scraped? Is it full titanium or just the aluminium with the burnt muffler tip? Negotiable?
  9. seems quite expensive too me mate for damaged wheels. just my 2c.
  10. $150? Where do you get these for 150bucks? Unique autosports is $350-$395 for adapters with high tensile bolts ..
  11. Where is the best place to buy these brackets? Should i really be paying $300 + for them like on Unique autosports?
  12. Front shocks / springs are Tien Super Streets .. apparently in fairly new condition with no leaks.
  13. Cheers for the info man! Well it's not sounding too promising if you still havn't got your problem fixed. The car is booked in to get a Pedders safety check this Wednesday .. hopefully that will shed some light. The only problem is they are going to tell me the 20-30 things wrong my suspension, and claim that my issue could be any of them ..
  14. Fair call, i think my next car will have to be an evo .. i'm in love with AWD .. and as far as i can tell, evo's are the ultimate king of courners
  15. Project Mu is looking expensive (1k+ for the their second best rotor) .. will have a look into stoptech. Whats the main advantage with 2 piece? Is it that you can just replace the disc when it wears out and keep the same hub? To price up some original gtr rotors.. just call up a nissan dealer? Also what are you opinions on the best rotors .. Slotted? Vented .. or Cross Drilled?
  16. Not really sure quite how to describe it, i wouldn't say it's a violent jolt .. the car just turns in HARD for limited wheel movement!
  17. Sounds good to me, i guess the question now is "what rotors" ha, there is heaps of threads on that though .. so i guess i'll go dig some up. 1 piece or 2 piece rotors? Main difference's? Project Mu has some nice rotor kits or should i just get the DBA that come with the kit from unique autosports?
  18. Initially i was in love with the evo 7, 8 and 9.. When i first saw the X i diddnt like it. But now it's grown on me .. do want! I love that its chasis was designed as 4wd, rather then modifying the originially front wheel drive lancer into awd .. +1 for evo X's
  19. Is this upgrade designed for the 32 GTR brembo's or the 32 nissan GTR calipers? Been doing some reading on this mod.
  20. What brand is the exhaust? Got any sound clips of it on your car?
  21. What size rotor are these designed to take? What's the largest that could be fitted? Interested!
  22. Just checking in on these brakes. How they going? Any complaints or praise? ^^
  23. /agree.
