  1. Hi, is this part tuition, or simply completion of laps? The 'trackshool' aspect gave me hope of the former...
  2. Sorry I couldn't continue for most of the cruise, but newborns tend to limit free time! Glad I was there to meet and greet peeps, and give the V's some representation! Definitely getting my day pass for the next cruise.
  3. Confirming that this is a Skyline cruise, not 'whatever you happen to drive'? My first cruise, so have no idea.
  4. Sounds good. Just the cruise though, not the ribs.
  5. Posted in 'the gallery', but didn't receive any responses, so guessed that i had posted in the wrong thread... Just picked up a V36 370 a couple of weeks ago. Finally decided to replace my 4door R32 GTSt. It is the 'S' variant, and very happy with it (apart from the Japanese GPS of course). Shopped around for a bit before buying from Road and Track at Silverwater. Great to deal with, and the car came with de-registration certificate from Japan, giving me some piece of mind as to legitimate kms (apparently a common issue from what I had been reading). Sorry, only took basic shots at my place with a camera phone. BTW the rear wheels aren't not quite as low as they look; the positioning in my driveway is causing that! Loving the car, and looking forward to the next Sydney Skyline cruise.
  6. Wasn't sure whether here or newbies was the appropriate thread (that fact alone nearly induced me to post in newbies), but just picked up a V36 370 a couple of weeks ago. 7. No one have any experiences with this? i have searched the forum and not found this exact problem. Also curious as to whether or not the R32 automatic will be able to handle the RB25 once it is running at peak performance? (i installed an RB25, but it has been running like a dog).
  8. Lol, I did underestimate it- to the point that i didn't even try to use it. My estimation was based on an assumption though...which once tested proved flawed. DIdn't think I'd be discussing that part of my post!
  9. My apologies; i underestimated the search function- I'm not used to them working!
  10. I've been thinking of changing the front bumper on my r32 to the GTR one. Does it bolt straight on? And does anyone have any pics where they have done this? It would be great to get a sneak peak at how it would look!
  11. Awesome; I had this problem for years. Always wondered, but not to the point that I actually did something about it...
  12. Thanks for the suggestions. Painting the existing rims is certainly the cheapest option then. I do only have 225s on the front and 245s at the back. Seems to handle fine, but i may not be noticing.
  13. Cheers for the referral, and regarding the cruise- it sounds good I'll be there for sure.
  14. I have close to 180,000 on the clock in my R32, but the RB25 engine i installed apparently had only 83,000, so my motor has done just over 100,000. That's on the dangerous assumption that the speedo on the half cut R33 was correct!
  15. Thanks mate I'll give them a shot. Still not sure which will look better. Having the narrower rims at the front is good for the visual profile methinks, and I'm not aware of any handling implications, but then my mechanical knowledge is rather...rudimentary. The other option is to respray the 2 GTSt rims so the colour matches the GTR rims. Not sure on the cost there though? Yes i know they're the boring old stockies, but I'm happy with them for now.
  16. I play on the Khazgoroth server, and shock horror I am alliance! I always hear the lament of Alliance players saying Ally=fail, even if we're winning. Is there really a noticeable maturity difference? I guessed that most Horde players would've been Alliance and vice versa. Despite being a tankadin, I mostly play BG. Pve seems rather boring, especially doing a raid for 5hrs! That said, few people want to go through a raid with a tank who hasnt already done the instance, so invites are non-existent lol. Both of my talent trees are tank (pve and pvp). My main toon (in pvp gear). Edit- okay i seem to have left pve pants on; i do have 251 pvp pants too: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...=Eagles+of+Lore
  17. I changed the back two rims on my GTSt to the stock r32 GTR rims. Paid $200 a pop (which i thought was a bit much for stockies)... Now looking for 2 more for the front. Any suggestions on where would be the cheapest place to buy them? Cheers
  18. Hi all, Just joined today, as i'm finally getting around to spending some money on my Skyline, and found this forum in my searches. I have a charcoal 4 door r32 GTSt automatic with a 2nd hand RB25. Have owned it for nearly 9 years. Live in Sydney, and love my car. That said it hasn't been running great since the engine swap (fluctuating idle that sometimes causes it to stall, and there's no 'kick' when you floor it), so that will be my focus. Will be nice to finally experience the power boost the 2.5 was to give me!
  19. Hi all, I've just joined these forums after following a link to a thread discussing upgrading the RB25. Very helpful too so thanks. I've owned a 4door r32 GTSt automatic for 9 years, and almost since day one it has this recurring (though not continual) problem of becoming stuck in first. At the moment I have to restart the engine for it to resume normal operation. Can anyone identify what the problem is? When it first happened i assumed the gearbox was about to fail, but that was 100k ago... I'd be interested to know if it is a cheap fix as well. I have a spare r33 automatic which will replace the existing auto when it fails.
