  1. nah why bother spraying the side you cant see? I only did the side pointing out plus the top and bottom...basically all sides you can see.
  2. SKYLINE, you can squeeze the bag down between the brake pad and the rotor quite easily. And yes I used VHT Caliper paint. Here's a full description with photos: Painting your brake calipers
  3. Damn mate that bloody sucks!! I was hoping you would have kept quiet until you were close enough to club them over the head with the golf Iron. Some people are so ****ing low. The cops don't really care either.
  4. i always shift at 5-6 grand...cold or warm.
  5. I've put an article about painting brake calipers on my website: www.performance-mod.com
  6. Hey I've set up a website for the performance modding scene of Australia. We want the site to become a database of shared knowledge and ideas submitted by you the readers. You can submit any types of mods you've done to your car and also read up on modding ideas. There's a discussion forum and other sections will be added shortly. It only just went online today (after a lot of work) and I think it will be successful and useful to everyone. So join up and say hi and please submit your mods to add to the database. Thanks Craig http://www.performance-mod.com
  7. adam 32, with the right tools...it is easy to change your own plugs. It takes a bit of time to get to them but it is not hard.
  8. Well I went with the Iridiums that cost me $111 for the set. I decided on the iridiums simply cos I'm running a SAFC to fix the richness problem plus I'm running higher boost. I got the 0.9mm gapped plugs with a temp rating of 6. I'll probably end up taking them out every 20,000kms to clean them anyway so perhaps the coppers are the way to go...
  9. You had your 'Line for 7 years? wow! Anyway I've asked around and the NGK Iridium plugs are the best. They last 100,000kms and come in gaps of .8, .9 and 1.1mm. The model number for the RB25DET is BKR5EIX so I'll be picking up a set of these tomorrow for $18.50 a plug. I hope they go well...
  10. What sparkplugs do you guys recommend I put in my car? I'm running slightly higher boost (10psi) so I'm thinking of 0.8mm gapped plugs. Do I have to buy 1.1mm and gap them myself or are there 0.8mm plugs for an R33 gtst available?
  11. let's have a moments silence for the death of a godzilla
  12. To be properly installed you'll have to loose the back seats. Harnesses are illegal anyway and any cop would be able to spot them easily so I wouldn't put them in if it's a street car.
  13. ahhh i just noticed an important word: "Automatic".
  14. Damn that's cheap....why are skyline's going for so cheap these days???
  15. What rwkw does a completely stock R33 put down?? We've got the Melbourne SAU Dyno Day this Saturday and I'm curious what to expect from my stock R33. If they claim 187kw at the flywheel what can I expect on the dyno? The only mod I've got is a Apexi SAFC which is getting tuned on Saturday so it'll be interesting to see what the SAFC alone does compared to stock R33.
  16. I'll be there!! Can you email me when it's on please?!?! [email protected]
  17. THANKYOU VERY MUCH!!! I'm sure other people will find this useful...as I did. I'm going with the RB74 compound. See how it goes...
  18. That's a great idea! I don't know why the ppl above would want to censor that information if we are only talking about our bad experiences with certain dealers.
  19. thejackal I'm currently researching upgrading my brakes too. Most ppl say that the stock R33 rotors and calipers are pretty damn good and that a good set of pads is the best value upgrade...so that's what I'm doing. Spend money on a good set of quality pads with high friction co-efficient and even get your rotors machined.
  20. they were a pain in the arse on the last forum because some idiots had massive images that took up half the screen! if you prevent this from happening then the sigs of members beautiful skylines will complement this great board nicely.
  21. yes and if you limit the pixel size to a resonable size then (such as 200x800) then it won't be a problem. Your argument against them is seriously flawed...if YOU don't like them then YOU can turn them off in your preferences and never even know they exist anymore.
  22. Then use your personal preferences to turn them off but don't restrict the whole board from using them just because you don't like them.
  23. it should be on by default and if ppl like PVA_Glue don't want to see them they can turn off sigs in their personal preferences. Simple. It makes the board look better and adds a personal touch. So it doesn't use bandwidth and the few people who don't want to view them can turn them off.
  24. Does anyone have access to this article? http://www.autospeed.com/A_0351/page1.html I'm shopping for some pads and I would like to know the outcome of this comparison. Can someone cut and paste the results here please???
  25. http://shop.importdriver.com.au/store/item...netstore?id=132 Have a look at that mixture meter. How useful/accurate would it be on an R33 used in combo with a fuel pres reg or SAFC??
