  1. You're millimeters away from getting banned from this forum at the IP level. I kindly answered your question and pointed out that you dont need to spam this board for a response.
  2. Mate you've posted this same question in every forum including Car Audio!! Is that really necessary? Do you think that everyone does that and it is normal and acceptable? sheesh!! If you'd bothered to search or even look in the Performance forum you would have easily found this thread with a full explanation and photos. Some people need to grow a brain and think for themselves...
  3. It's still a good, fast first person shooter with heaps of action but now they've added so much eye candy graphics that the whole game looks very cartoony. There are some great levels and the weapons are pretty good... Steve, If you love Quake 3 then you'll love UT2003 but IMHO it's not really worth paying for. PM me if you want to download it (3 CDs) and I'll give you a fast FTP with it.
  4. Hi Nismo_Freak... You're right about the factory turbo, it spools up quickly and delivers good pressure. Try and get a series 1 turbo cos it is stronger than a series 2. Bottom end torque is not that bad but of course once the turbo starts spooling at 2500rpm the power kicks in.
  5. If you wanna install a boost gauge but don't know how here's a good guide to help you! Here it is.
  6. Look I dont want to start anything but I'd just like to point out that this kind of attitude is completely unnecessary BY BY. Your original post mentioned performance figures and INASNT responded to those appropriately. Just remember, this is everyones forum and anyone can reply to any thread they want so long as their post is not offensive. Oh and inasnt, the power figure BY BY mentioned is easily achievable with the mods listed. It sounds spot on. Greetz.
  7. I achieved the same result by bleeding air from my wastegate actuator line with a $10 gas fitting.
  8. so what time did you get denham?
  9. yes the pod would be completely soaking wet and useless if he drove it in the rain. If he's doing that just for the drags then no problems... the other problem with increasing the length of the intake pipe is a decrease in throttle response. have u got yer car dyno tuned yet?
  10. yes it will...if you can channel cold air to the pod it will make a huge difference. You've got the exhaust so now all you need to do is let the engine breath a little easier... If you can set up a cold air partition at the same time.
  11. no probs. most likely you've completely discharged the battery which ruins it. You'll have to just buy a new battery, get a heavy duty one or even a drycell one.
  12. hotsky, I copied this thread to general discussion so you get more exposure and to save you crossposting this again.
  13. I wouldn't recommend you remap the ECU. At least with a SAFC if you do more mods it's simple to adjust. I'm running a SAFC and when I got it dyno tuned I still had shit plugs in that were gapped at 1.1mm. Running 12psi it kept missing so i got the SAFC tuned at 10psi and now have an AF ratio of about 12:1. I then put Iridiums in and...wow! Up top there is heaps more power at 12psi. You dont want it running lean with boost comming on...not good for the engine.
  14. good to hear that....you're one of the lucky few. was it insured and did you get a payout?
  15. someones getting a turbo!!
  16. I hope you took a copy first
  17. you could try japparts in adelaide http://www.jap-parts.com.au or these guys: http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au
  18. hhehehe
  19. yeah i lost that bit of plastic infront of the wheel too. I was doing 160km/h racing an XR8 at the time and it went under my wheel and shattered sending bits of sharp plastic all over the XR8 behind me (I was winning of course). But isn't it worth leaving it off cos it increases air flow to the brakes which can only be good...?
  20. looks good....cant wait to see the difference it makes...
  21. So you're after a Supra?...you've come to the right forum...
  22. 24, I like being in chicks in the backseat of my Line.
  23. If you thrash the car on high boost then switch the engine off the turbo is still red hot. The oil sitting in the turbo is heated beyond it's 'safe' range and it's properties may change. Then as the turbo cools from red hot to ambient the impurities in the oil in the turbo may solidify or condensation may build up at that point. Either way it's best to let the oil flow thru and cool the turbo slowly. That's my understanding...not very deep or technical I know!
  24. while on the front page of the SAU forum press [CTRL]+[F5] See if that helps...
