  1. Your other thread is already sticky at the top of this forum. It has all the details right? No need for bumping *Closed*
  2. That sounds _very_ dodgey although it's probably right. I've been told that the ECU has a built in battery (button type) that even after disconnecting the battery will retain the ECU setup. So the only way is to flatten/remove that button battery or to short the ECU as described above. DAMQIK can you explain what the wires are and how it works?
  3. It's pretty safe to say that it is impossible to get traction in the wet in a skyline. Once full boost kicks in it's all over.
  4. Yes there definately would be a power gain because Skylines are set to run incredibly rich and once that is corrected you get a lot more power.
  5. There's an article I've written about the SAFC unit and it's potential here.
  6. If you're thinking of upping your boost you can read how to make a simple and safe boost controller in the article below. It's really easy to increase boost in Skylines...it just a matter of bleeding some air off in a controlled manner. And you should install a boost guage before upping boost. Here's the article Enjoy
  7. There's a great article here that anyone considering getting an aftermarket exhaust system should have a read of: Read it here
  8. Yep don't tune it unless you have an air/fuel ratio meter hooked up.
  9. The SAFC doesn't tell you the AFR it only allows you to adjust the signal from the AFM to trick the ECU into adding more or less fuel. To tune it you need to hook up an AFR meter and drive around adjusting (or put it on a dyno) the SAFC until the AFM is around 12 across the rev range.
  10. yep I'd agree that around 12 is best. Using my SAFC I got my A/F ratio up to 12-12.5 right across the rev range and gained 20rwkw running 11psi.
  11. Sure they'll probably sell 100's of them over the next few years...15 was an approximation of the number of people in this forum who will actually participate in this group buy. Please correct me if I'm way off the ball here BY BY. Do you have more than 15-20 people who have signed up and put down a deposit or are you taking 'pledges to buy' at this point?
  12. Mate the only feeble brain is yours if you are unable to comprehend my points made above. It does NOT take 4 months to laser cut and weld a few flanges and pipes, this group buy is FAR from a mass-production (there's probably about 15 of you at the most right?), and I understand it is out of BY BY's control and therefore it is the fault of the exhaust producer, and yes I could organise a group buy like this in a matter of 1-2 weeks. Look, what BY BY is doing for us is fantastic, it is about time someone organised to have these parts produced locally for all us Skyline drivers so we don't have to order over-priced Jap brands. It really is a great deal for $700, if you are patient. As you can see, I'm clearly not.
  13. . BY BY this is a public forum and you do not dictate where or when people can post. Remember that. This is an open discussion and I am raising valid points even if they conflict with your opinions. I stated my reasons for doing so in my previous post.
  14. 1 dump pipe or 30...what's the difference? They'll all be the same unless you going to extreme lengths to custom make a dump for each person. I don't intend to put you down for doing this...it is great that you are putting in effort for the benefit of others. My only point is it is taking a very long time to produce even a template so what happens when the exhaust place you are going thru get orders from 30 people here? Will they have to wait another 6 months to receive the completed product? The process I described earlier is quite simple and doesn't really take that long.
  15. you need to chill out mate and watch your language. my point is this: This thread has been running for well over 4 months here and on SDU. To get a dump pipe made it is a simple matter of getting the dimensions of the head of the stock dump pipe, taking those dimensions and some chunks of metal to a laser cutter who can plug the dimensions into the system and cut your metal to shape on the spot. Then you get a **** load of piping and weld it to the piece and bolt that onto the turbo. How do I know this? I called my local performance exhaust centre and he said it would be ready in a couple of days. So you are either getting screwed around by whoever you are using or they have no idea what they are doing. Don't whinge about how you haven't got much time...we don't give a sh1t. We are all busy people. Apology accepted
  16. looks good where do you have cold air feeding into the box from?
  17. My quick and easy solution: 3 x bags of quick-dry cement.
  18. So what did you guys who came think of the cruise and the route? I love driving hard through those twisty sections especially the downhill section into Healesville. You can grab the photos and the video here.
  19. BY BY, INASNT is just keeping us entertained while everyone is waiting for 6 months for this imaginary dump pipe group buy to eventuate.
  20. How did the tuning go guys? who's coming to the cruise tomorrow (Sun 18th)?
  21. yeah I agree that it would look very suave Shan...simple and effective
  22. dark is the best ryan!! very nice the warm is a bit too red...silver is too contrasting. The good thing about the dark theme that can easily be applied to other themes is the very slight contrast between the different shades used on the board. The more contrast between the colours the more it hurts my eyes. (know what I mean?)
  23. I think that's the newer model PFC that you're talking bout there grepin...it removes the need for an AFM.
  24. For $2300 to hiflow your stock turbo why not spend that little bit more and get a brand new larger turbo?!?!
  25. hahahaha good to hear she's all back to normal
