yeah i notice that within 10 seconds of turning the key and starting the engine my oil pressure reaches about 4-6bar (depending on how cold it is). After those 10 seconds I'm happy to drive off and after a couple of minutes driving the pressure drops to about 2 bar as the oil heats up. I think most of the damage is done in the first few seconds after startup. Once oil pressure is up then the engine is fully protected.

When do you need to change your diff oil? What symptoms do you see or do you just do it regularly? Can someone write a step-by-step guide on how to change the gearbox oil like Strich9ine wrote above?

Ummm I'm with the guys who wanted it earlier. I mean by the time you guys came to Sylvania maccas where i was waiting it was 8:10 and by the time we left there it was about 8:30 and by the time we hit the Nasho run it was after 9 and there were slow cars everywhere...including an asshole red Lancer. But if we start 30min earlier it would be heaps better.

Work's moving me to Sydney next week for good so I guess I won't be much help to the vic club anymore (assuming I ever was - hehehehe!) I gotta live outta a hotel room until I find a place to rent and work's putting me up in the airport Hilton for 4 weeks.
