  10. Holy shit... I'm sorry to hear this has happened. RIP Ash, although it has been a long time since we have seen or heard from one another, you were an awesome bloke and you will definately be missed by many. Will see what is happening, will try make it along for this cruise. *reposted this cruise on TPC's website*
  11. I have heard fibrevision are good, but you definately pay for it. and have heard they take a long time too (that is just ONE experience of a friend of mine). His was a complete respray though. Was in there for a few months I thnk?
  12. I've heard with some brake pads, particularly performance pads, you will get some of the screeching sound. Forget the reason why, but that is what I have heard. Sometimes it can also be the pads vibrating on the caliper.. to try to compensate for this, you can buy this red goo that goes on the back of the pads (the part that DOESNT touch the rotors) and it hardens up a little, sort of goes rubbery (i THINK), anyways, it is supposed to decrease the sound or get rid of it. I have bought some for my car, but can never be bothered ripping apart my brakes to do it. I've had it sitting there about 3-4 months now hahaha.
  13. Sorry didn't make this Dan, I'm not too fond of the Day cruises. Glad to hear everyone had a good time. Hopefully see yas out an about soon enough.
  14. I think im paying about 1400-1500 for my car. thats with every single mod listed aswell. excess is about 2200 for memory... I forget. something stupid though. And Missy, you definately got that quote pulled from their ass when they did that one. Weren't female drivers higher risk ? I can't remember if this is true or not ?
  15. going back to the german's BMVEE, italians apparently say it as BM-Wuh as in when but the 'w' off the start

  18. yes still have cat back... its 2.5inch mandrel bent, 2x resonators, LITTLE bit of surface rust i think cause its been sitting around doing nothing, but still good nick. no dents to speak of, was only on the car for 6 months MAX before it was taken off. The muffler is just a standardish cypher industries one (its a stainless steel one). PM if u wanna know more, as i dont always check this section.
  19. yep, still running all the standard hi-comp bits.
  20. I did this conversion 7-8 months ago now. you will probably have to run a gtst ecu, possibly get bigger injectors (probably more for safety sake.. u dont want to be boosting and its not getting enough fuel, causing knocking or somethin or other, cause BYE BYE engine real quick that starts happening!) paulr33, im running an FMIC.. (and quite a large one at that) and the throttle response is quite fine, I pretty much have boost instantly due to the high compression cams etc that are on the car. He shouldnt have any lag as such as because of the high compression, we have more torque, and also a different torque curve than a turbo. I know with my car (to me) i cant even feel when the boost is coming on at all, its VERY responsive.
  21. Sorry Liz... i thought the night would end up getting worse with the cop presence and i couldnt be bothered with it. my bad!! lol
  22. Pol-Air was following Dan cause he did a boo boo ... lol the whole time i was sitting behind him thinking.. hrmm wonder where/how he could outrun one of those things.. lol
  23. Okay, mid last year i did completed my NA to turbo conversion. cost me over 6g in total to do it.. here are the dyno sheets. this is from when she was N/A, and only had cat back exhaust on it. http://www.members.westnet.com.au/mirks/MIRKZ/mirkzdyno.jpg this is when all work was complete, running high compression still but with turbo. http://www.members.westnet.com.au/mirks/MIRKZ/mirkzdyno2.jpg in the 2nd graph it shows black lines an a blue one, the black was a previous dyno that was done that got 273 at the rears but had a dodgy coil pack, The blue is after the coil was replaced.
  24. Good cruise, Left on the way to freo. There was some more cop troubles along the way from what i saw...
