  1. All the Jap exhaust manufacturers list a diff exhaust for S1 and S2, but any differences, if any, would be very minor and easily overcome, especially by an exhaust shop, possibly only cosmetic or mount in different position eg
  2. I got a friend in Japan to order and send it for $200.
  3. thats great, yeah, i thought the same after seeing the amount of wires needed to make it work.
  4. Ive got fluid leaking from my bell housing on my tiptronic transmission, has anyone experienced a leaking front transmission seal, or somewhere else inside the housing ? What was the $ damage ? I guess the whole box will have to come out.
  5. if you PM me your VIN # i can get the exact part # that your car came with from the Nissan FAST software. The other timing belt # you listed was for RB25DET after April 1998, for Neo engines. Although they are probably interchangable.
  6. My advice is to go genuine for waterpump and timing belt, no risk of incompatability then, and non-genuine (japanese made) tensioner and idler bearings(a lot cheaper than nissan, and no worry about quality) (not expensive and peace of mind to change them while you are there). cheers NSK Part #s TENSIONER 60TB0732A IDLER 56TB2801B01 Nissan R33 S2 GTSt #s Water Pump 21010-21U25 Timing belt 13028-20P25 Idler bolt 08041-07010
  7. thanks, so best place to put it is behind the dash, that way my boost control and Timer, which display speed(both also 10% out) will also be corrected. My error is consistent over the entire speed range, so should be fine, cheers
  8. Ive decided to go the "electronic speedo signal corrector", which will alter the electronic signal from the speed sensor, http://www.yellr.com/yb_home.htm Seems that Nissan stopped making separate pinion gears for models after 1998. Can someone tell me, does the speed signal go into the ECU then to the dash, or into the dash then to the ecu, or does it split, one to ECU and one to dash ?
  9. WTB, Some Nissan Sumitomo R33/R34 Front Caliper bits, see pic, both sides, 8 pieces all up, pay $30 delivered to Brisbane, thanks [email protected]
  10. Ok, appears more complicated than i thought too, operates on both the Auto and handbrake. here is a pic of the screen overide unit, which jumpers in between the white plug and the back of screen, as you can see, it is quite complicated, about 10 wires going into it. the small black plug is for a dash switch to operate the overide. Ill check Jap websites to see if this is still available, but as for doing it yourself, It looks pretty complicated after seeing this harness. http://item.rakuten.co.jp/rca/datasystem-ntv142/ http://www.rakuten.co.jp/kong/645758/646238/645808/ NTV142 is the one you need i believe
  11. no, everything is standard, just a common nissan thing, ive read some places you can change the speedo pinion in the transfer case, mine is 19 teeth, i need 20 or 21 teeth.
  12. Has anyone attempted to adjust their R34 electronic speedo ? mines about 10% out. Is it adjusted through a trimpot in the instrument cluster or by changing the pinion gear in the sender ?
  13. Has anyone attempted to adjust their Series 2 electronic speedo ? mines about 10% out. Is it adjusted through a trimpot in the instrument cluster or by changing the pinion gear in the sender ?
  14. its infront of the air con condensor, see pic, in red, so the radiator fan is pulling outside air in, and not much heat from the engine and radiator contaminates it. Some reasons could be, using thermofans(not always on), or sensor has been repositioned.
  15. best to tell them not to cut it at all, just unplug it. Quite a job to get it back to working order after its been cut.

    R34 Xennon Bulb

My Stagea factory Xenons are D2R, prob same as R34s, check if they look like this, cheap on ebay from USA.
  17. ok, got some info, see if this helps: see pic; DISPLAY AND NAVI 32 Reverse lamp 33 Parking brake 34 foot brake 35 inhibitor (something to do with auto ??) 25 speed meter my guess is track down 33, which i guess is on the back of navi unit or radio, check if it is earthed when park brake on/off and cut/earth appropriately. the unit on the upper right of pic is the tv tuner in the back.
  18. no worries, hopefully someone has one lying around,
  19. Is yours a Series 2 stagea ? i recently retro fitted mine back to xenon after they were removed during compliance, bought bulbs (factory bulbs are D2R HIDs) and D2R harness, from ebay in USA, then wired them into the ballast which is attached to the back of the headlights. now back to factory stock. http://www.redhummer.com/myhummer/HID/D2R-HID-35W_bulb.jpg
  20. Can anyone confirm please what output shaft spline the S2 Auto Stagea uses in the non-lsd diff ? I have a 30 spline, 31mm S15 Helical LSD ready to put in and want to confirm the output shaft compatability, thanks
  21. I have a 2000 stagea with Neo engine, bought with 50k on clock, now 75k, but i suspect it has done around 120k. Is there an easy way to determine whether the timing belt has been changed ? -i have no TB change sticker -drive belts are all aftermarket -orange silicon on waterpump gaskets, is this factory ? Also, is it possible to alter the factory digital odometer on Stageas/R34s ? thanks
  22. Can anyone advise me which is the best hose to connect the boost sensor to for a NEO engine, photos would also be great. did mine but the hose goes to some sort of electric solenoid box at the top back of engine, wondering if this would contaminate the pressure levels. thanks
  23. installed mine over the past few days, got hold of an english translation for it, ask me any questions, ill try to answer them as i seem to have figured most of it out. Did the full boost mapping, ie throttle vs rpm boost map. (evc5 in japan, evc6 elsewhere) http://www.hks-power.co.jp/faq/evc/rekievc.html found this link, english manual for latest evc : http://jscosysv.tresham.ac.uk/~awillis/S15...EVC5_Manual.pdf approx 10mb
  24. got mine done in Dec, pulled it out, packed it up, sent it express post from P.O., approx $50 i think, he modifies yours, depending what stage (spec) you want, bills your CC, had it back in approx 4 days. then fitted it myself. very ,messy job though, make sure you have lots of rags.
