  1. If you can, ask compliance shop to keep your XENON HID bulbs and not cut the bulb harness in side the lights, which they probably will do...so you can reinstall them after compliance. Just went through the process of getting them back to original, not an easy job.
  2. worked out they are a safety feature to prevent the high voltage HIDs operating without being connected to bulb, overidden by joining them together (if you dont have factory harness).
  3. Anyone who has done a conversion back to HIDs, what the green wires are on my HID ballast ??? ive got 12v in on side of unit, red and white to HID bulb, but what are greens ??? thanks ...never mind, worked out it is a safety circuit ie only turns on when bulb is present, can be overrid by bridging them together.
  4. Abo bob, or anyone, could you also help me please with a diagram,.... Im converting my Stagea lights back but im wondering what the green wires are on my HID ballast ??? ive got 12v in on side of unit, red and white to bulb, but what are greens ??? thanks
  5. could be just a side effect from the wires being messed with, there is also a airbag light reset procedure, Get in the car and close the door, turn the key to ignition, open the door and press the door ajar sensor button 7 times.....All within 10 secs the light should go away. dont think you will need to replace the bag
  6. scumbags, thank god for insurance
  7. you can put it into diagnostic mode, start it, then drive it, the engine check light will flash, depending if the O2 sensor detects lean or rich, cant remember which way, check some old threads
  8. Bosch EL Falcon O2 sensors are the best option, around $50 on ebay or from ford, just need to swap your plug over to the one in their now...although your economy is not too bad for a Skyline, but cant hurt to put a new one in, put one of these in last month, runs great. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EA-EL-FALCON-OXYGEN...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. the installation / removal photos have dissapeared from this thread, does anyone have any photos of this process, which bolts etc ??

Yes, use USA size, very similar to Japan size, looks neater and no need to bend
  11. has anyone confirmed yet that the R33gts (DBA 4963) rotors bolt on to the s2 front with some outside diameter machining ???? the was some talk of them touching calipers, has anyone done this to their s2, or something different they can share. What about R34 Gtt rotors and calipers on front and back, would this upset the brake bias significantly ? thanks
  12. its prob an overide switch to allow the TV screen to work whilst you are driving, factory default shuts it down. Mine had a similar switch.
  13. Hope to see many other twin headed Unicorns at this years QLD SKYLINE CHARITY CRUISE, 3rd December, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=140364
  14. Ill be there.
  15. Has anyone attempted to repair the wires after they have been cut by the compliance shop, Im also tempted to ask a compliance shop if they will hand over any bulbs, im sure they would just go into their bin.
  16. stated several times in this topic: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...8&hl=camber I think some people are confusing the units, thanks for the confirmation.
  17. Most wheel alignment camber settings are stated in degrees minutes and seconds, as in the Factory Stagea manual, it recommends rear camber 0 degrees 55' (minutes) 0" (seconds), so doesnt this equate to .91 degrees, and not 0.5 degree which is commonly stated, as minutes are 1/60 of a degree. I have checked my factory camber settings and they are very close to this 0.9 degree, or 55' minutes.
  18. Anyone have or tried KYB shockies in their Stagea, putting in a set of KYB "New SR Special" with stock springs. Not after a train on rails, just a nice stock feel. http://www.s-ds.cc/product/201
  19. possibly wheel bearings
  20. sounds a bit harsh, normal carwash detergent in hot water for 10 min then use a hose to flush them, afterwards couldnt tell the clean side from the dirty side.
  21. seems to be a fabric, not paper, soaked it, then sprayed it gently with a hose, worked fine, sure worth the try for $170.
  22. converted mine to digital TV, bit of an epic, through the VTR2 rca inputs on the tuner box in the boot, using a STRONG 12V digital box and an NTSC converter and tapping into the fatory aerials in the rear windows, note: these aerials have 12V amplifiers, small silver boxes, and only activated when in TV mode, not VTR mode, so they had to be given a 12V feed to get a good reception, worth it though. but would love to get the SATNAV working, keep me informed.
  23. soaked mine in hot water/detergent, came up as new. part # and approx price in first post.
  24. the are grey, slotted in vertically on top of eachother, directly behind the glovebox. remove metal clip, slide right out. FAST system says it is applicable to W model, whatever that means. filters highlighted in green. Mine has a sticker inside the glovebox in japanese, i assume this is telling me how ofter to replace the filters. My Factory AIR/NAV/TV system has a 'filter' symbol on the screen, shown during diagnostic mode, i assume this will appear when the air flow is slowed by the dirty filters. Sorry forgot to take photos.
  25. yes, have to remove the glovebox door, 1 plastic panel and 1 metal panel, then the retaining clip for the the filters, they are mounted vertically
