  1. Picked up a set of Koya deep dish 18s too. They look really good. You'd be surprised at the prices. There are plenty of aftermarket components there too. Saw sets of the seats you are referring to there.
  2. I was at Skyline Spares and just kept saying Yes, Yes and more Yes Ps: they also have an excellent stock of Evo 7,8, and 9 parts. At least 7 evos there being wrecked.
  3. http://tmr.qld.gov.au/Safety/Vehicle-standards-and-modifications/Vehicle-modifications/Light-vehicle-modifications.aspx VSB - 14 Open document and scroll down to a PDF link entitled: Section LA - Engine. This is TMR legal mandate for modifying cars/engines etc in QLD. They also explain at the bottom why P1 and P2 are in their mind limited to non- high powered vehicles.
  4. You don't need an engineer for this - just a blue slip equivalent, b/c it comes out in a production equivalent standard model and is within scope of legal engine capacity changes not requiring engineer sign off. I'll double check this for QLD, but NSW you pay $70 odd and it's a legal done deal following a brake test.
  5. It's a pretty silly law. If both cars weigh the same and follow the same speed limit and hit the same object... then stuffed if I know how limiting people's democratic right to choose a high powered car assists anything? Stooopid law made by equally stooopid ppl
  6. You can get much cheaper than 4k and about 2k will see engine and box, if you look at right place. Cars never a good investment, but they do make you happy and that's what is most important
  7. Matt, I would look for a non turbo auto like what Kathryn did. I keep saying it, they are the exact same shell. You can instantly upgrade brakes. Nobody can tell the difference unless they FAST the chassis. Once off provisional then upgrade engine and gearbox from a wrecker like Skyline Spares (they courier to QLD), it won't cost an arm and a leg to do and you can always transfer it back should your licence be revoked and you go back onto Ps - worst case scenario. I would recommend an R33.
  8. A while ago someone posted up Teng Tools 14mm sump plug removal socket. Went into Supercheap on Sunday and they are selling a full kit of every sump plug socket you could ever need made from chrome vandium steel in a metal box for $30. The brand is Protool.
  9. I keep thinking of the movie - "No Country for Old Men" - no way would I consider the gun either
  10. I would look at getting an r32 or r33 gtst. There are some nice examples of both at not too ridiculous asking prices.
  11. Sorry Peter - we prefer James Joyce Ulysses style posting to Fleas - Adam Had ém style lol
  12. This is true. This is also not new news
  13. Have you picked up car and given first polish yet
  14. What're the bores like?
  15. In which case spray existing plate with blue anti flash spray - saves funds from speed cameras
  16. Titan's old car now well on its way. Purchased and fitted guards, inners, doors, series 2 reo and bar, SCI suspension components, 4.3 diff, series 2 interior including seats. Tip: series 1 and series 2 white aren't quite the same, but most couldn't tell
  17. Ouch. I don't know how you did it. I faint at the sight of a needle - legacy of growing up in a vet clinic and being jabbed one day
  18. Depends if you're carrying Chris
