  1. Martin @ John White's no. is 07 3391 7533.
  2. I have thought of an imported MX5, or even an old superchaged MR2. But niether is particularly quick on a circuit. I wouldn't entertain the idea of building a clubman myself, as I did a full restoration and rebuild/improvements on my GTR, and tore up plenty of cash. I'd rather see someone else do all the hard work and pour all the money in! I was thinking of spendind up to around 20G for a good clubman? Tell me if you think I'm nuts, but aren't they the quickest circuit car for the money?
  3. Hi guys...I'd like to get your informed opinions on this. Have any of you either owned or experienced a Clubman type car, i.e PRB, Caterham, Fraser etcc? I recently sold my GTR to fund my cocaine and stipper habit, but really miss doing a bit of mixed motorsport and mountain skidding. The company magna just understeers too much! I don't on the other hand miss the huge expense and time involved with a serious GTR on the track, $2000 sets of tyres for 2 meets, pads, etc. I just want something legal to drive to the track, exciting to pedal and a lot cheaper to campaign, maybe with a couple of tarmac rallies one day. I've looked at the go-cart thing, but it's just not "real" enough. What do you reckon?
  4. All my group's all been through the Gtr sump thing for years....Although the Accusump appears pretty cool (and we're looking at it for an rb26 gts-t that we can't stop oil surging, no matter what we do with the sump), I honestly believe modifying the sump in a Gtr is preferable, rather than adding a "band-aid" fix. Martin at John White Race Engines @ Woolloongabba in Brissy has done heaps for us... and it's cheap! We all used to take our Gtr's circuit racing on slick tyres (heaps of G's) and never once had oil pressure issues after Marty did the mods. BTW, one of the big issues but easy fixes is putting a restrictor in the oil feed to the head, as they tend to fill the cam covers at sustained high revs, and to do that you at least have to remove the head. I'd be just as happy removing the engine then the head, as opposed to the head in the car!

In that case, only one place to go... Jack Beedhams @ Redcliffe. Talk to Bobbie. 3283 1000. They did my 32, plenty of others, and Bob had a 33 for a bit. They're the biggest Fulcrum dealer around, and are cheap! Tell Bob Ben sent ya if you want. Cheers.

    You on the Brissy N/side?
  7. You do get what you pay for with GTR's, but Marty @ John White Racing Engine does a nice job. I'd be getting a 2nd opinion though.. white smoke? Oil or steam? Under load or cruise? Hot or cold? What are the compression figures?
  8. Call Jason, Streetmachines 07 3217 3577, he's got a couple of second hand ones.

    Blue GTR

Gday Spooks,Robocop. Just spotted this, it was my car, never Theo's! Thought I'd broadcast the colour - Ford Blueprint. I've sold the car to a nice young guy in Tassy, he drove it home a few weeks back.... Now I want it back!!! Life's miserable without GTR!
  10. 34's were supposed to have the xenon lights removed for compliance to my knowledge, but you still see some around with them fitted. I heard the other day Pedro @ Cresta in Bris has some 07 3245 1555. If he doesn't he can prob tell you who does.
  11. Z32 300ZX or a wart on my d*ck? ........Hhhmmm.... give me the wart any day.

  13. I've got one off a GTR if your really stuck. I think they're the same. let me know.
  14. Thanks to everyone who enquired about this car via PM. Sorry to those who decided against it, or couldn't afford the ask. Car was sold today, and is going to Tassie. Good on you Matthew, I hope you enjoy it mate, and look after her won't ya! Should give some of those Tassie boys a big fright!
  15. Well I look forward to seeing your results! I can only vouch for what I've seen dynoing not one but 4 fast GTR's, on top of talking to guys down south with some of the quickest in oz, and how they react to leaner mixtures. I don't want to get into a "I'm smarter than you 'cause bla bla bla...", as that's a waste of energy, but more than 10 years as a marine engineer didn't hurt my understanding of all things mechanical. I'll watch with interest!
  16. I reckon the squids that try and gee us up for a race in their "sports coupes" really just love watching and hearing fast cars go fast, they know they're gonna get beat! For alot of guys it's as close as they're gonna get! Remember the first time you went in a really quick car? I do... it changed my life!
  17. And about 5 minutes later it'll go pop! But it's your call......
  18. INASNT. Quote [any1 know someone that has twin GTR BOV's for sale?} I gotta a set which are fine, but I'd run with new one/s 'cause they're adjustable for different app's. For the record, I run 2x Turbosmart Type 2's on mine, and they've been fine.
  19. Dats me boss, I'll stop for a chat next time I see your car there? Would they like a bit of third gear wheelspin next time?
  20. Used to up 'til about 6 months ago. Great to hear your having a good run with it. Sure was a great car. Drives like a new one! BTW, apologize to your friend at Yeronga for the noise when I go past in my GTR sometimes will ya?
  21. Yours is the best 4 door around as well, by far! Probably 'cause I picked the colour and wheels! I saw it parked in a front yard over the weekend, I hope it's still in your possesion? Gee that's a great lookin car!
  22. I reckon too, especially on old Avon street tyres that had the grip of concrete!
  23. @ rear on dyno dynamics, with "80" ramp rate I think.
