  2. as suggested....I'm in the market for a Carbon Fibre hood for my R33 gts-t, If anyone has one or knows where i can get one...let me know. I'm in Geelong, Vic. also good condition HKS 2530 or 2540R turbo for a good price and aftermarket cams
  3. Im looking to get a carbon fibre hood for my r33 and was wondering if anyone knew if i can get them in Melbourne?? otherwise I'll have to pay freight to get it from Sydney or somewhere..... also....can you buy genuine carbon hood?where from? or just the typical ones that the top layer is carbon but the underside is all fibreglass and reinforced plastic??? any help would be appretiated
  4. count me in!!....as I'm from Geelong and not familiar with any of the "actual" locations I dont really mind, just good to be out for the drive. Hopefully there will be a few more geelong members keen aswell....they might actually know where there going but the last GOR cruise was great, sounds like it was a pity i missed the cruise back from the bay.....but my mates g/f only decided to tell me she gets motion sickness after we got through angelsea....grrr....so thats my first question to any possible passangers now.....should also have the wolf 3d installed by then so it'll be good to see the improvement. the twistier the better I say!!
  5. see theres a new yellow R33 getting round, gtr bodykit, chrome 17" mags. also saw a silver R33 GTR with an L plater driving it....had BBS type silvermags i think
  6. thats about it from me.....hope you like the photos. cant wait to see everyone else's
  7. this is gonna take so long....only 5 at a time....whos idea was that...lol
  8. Awsome day. I was a first timer for an SAU cruise and will definatly be at the next one( I was in the white 33 with the GT wing). Unfortunatly didnt get the chance to talk to many of you....next time. heres some photos I took.....theres so many. most of my good photos of individual cars are too many KB's so i'll have to shrink em and post them later on.
  9. Are we all aware of the GOR cruise happening this weekend? Check out the "events" forum in Victoria for all the details....basically meeting at waurn ponds pub at 10:30am, departing round 11am, driving to Apollo Bay for BBQ and photo's etc, then heading back an alternate way.....guessing should be back in geelong between 6-8 o'clock. This will be a BIG turnout of Liners!!! coming from the other side of Melb and collecting more on there way here. time for geelong Liners to show up an be counted i reckon!! hope to see EVERYONE there, should be a great day.
  10. Count me in.....sounds awsome!!. New"ish" member an havent been on a cruise and am looking forward to it. I'll be adding to the Geelong members meeting at Ponds. Sounds like it'll be a big turn out, definatly bringing the digital cam along.

    GT wings

i'm pretty sure they sell wings that are extremely similar to the one pictured at the start of the thread at autobarn...pretty cheap too??
  12. I have a pair of those that im gonna sell to some dude in SA for $350 painted white. Not sure what brand there a copy off but i know there called "JU style".....can be bought from uniqueautosports in Sydney....thats all i know
  13. yeah I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date with whats going on. As for wednesday night, hardly cruisin.....spent 5 mins in town pickin someone up from work....but it is amazing how many people crusie round geelong in beaten up old crud buckets and think there all that cauz they have a "autobarn special" neon light on the rear parcel shelf and windscreen washer lights....takes all sorts i guess. keep ya posted, cheers
  14. same thing happened to mine ages ago.....definatly flat battery. If theres not enough charge in the battery to crank the car over the computer wont even let it try, just the clicking noise. Charge your battery an you'll be sweet
  15. Yeah I've seen a 400R front bar an an R32....and it looks awsome!! i cant remember where I saw it, i think it was on the skylinesdownunder forum in the parts for sale or cars for sale section.....have a browse through....it was a white R32 for sale that had it. I say go for it. Suits the 32 almost as much as the 33.
  16. how much do you think it'd cost to send em to VIC?
  17. i just recently did an instal (which amp for my 2x 12"subs post). Mine sounds awsome, no whining noise what so ever, and HUGE bass & clarity, I'm running Rockford Fosgate head unit, earthquake 6" splits front Via old Sony EMX700 2 channel amp(soon to be upgraded to Soundstream RUB 300-2), rear stockie clarion paper cones running off head unit, and 2 x 12" orion subs off a Soundstream RUB500-2 2 channel amp. Both amps are in the boot right next to the battery, RCA leads I ran down both sides of the car, passenger side for front splits amp and drivers side for sub amp. remote wire for both amps down passager side, LH split speaker wire down passanger side to amp, RH split speaker wire down drivers side to amp. Earth to car body, power through fuse then to a slit block to provide power to both amps. May or maynot be worth mentioning that my R33 came with a top quality earthing kit throughout the car, wheather or not this makes a diference or not im not sure?
  18. I need some advice.....I have a Blitz MSTT in my car which has the 1/4 mile,1/2 mile, speed, top speed, 0-100km/h, 0-200km/h, 0-300km/h functions which currently dont work because of the speed cut defender that came in my car (i have no idea where it's installed). My timer needs to be hooked up to the speed wire (yellow/green stripe, pin #53 i think, is the wire it's hooked up to currently), but due to the defender only reads at half speed. my question: Where is the speed wire that gives "actual" speed? so I can hook my timer up to it and get all the functions working correctly. can anyone help me?
  19. as I understand it, on your P's your only allowed 125kw per tonne or 3.5litres per tonne. the r33 skyline is "actually" 138kw per tonne (car weighs round 1300kg)which means you cant legally drive it........BUT......VicRoads class the skyline as a coupe and automatically stamps it on the rego sticker as a 1500kg vehicle......which makes the skyline 120kw per tonne...which means it's legal. so it's a bit of a grey area really. I drove round on my P's in a 5lt V8 commodore, when ever I was pulled up I told the cops it was a 253 (4.2lt) which they couldnt prove otherwise short of pulling the motor out so it was all good. Plus they wouldnt have a clue anyway. Dont do stupid things and you wont be hassled (well dont do them in built up areas anyway), steer clear of cruising round late at night/in the AM hours of the weekend. Heaps of R33's round Geelong are P platers so I'm guessing its legal. VicRoads fault...."i didnt know the weight of the car......the sticker says.." hope I've helped
  20. well unfortunatly my liner may not be able to appear down eastern beach on sat.....(still getting new skirts fitted).....but I've organised to borrow an all black E36 M3 BMW, so i'll down there in that instead.......unless by some miracle my liners ready hope to see heaps of you there. It'd be an awsome sight, all those imports lined up, definatly taking the digital cam for sure.
  21. i bought and installed some TEIN HA coilovers in my R33 and they are awsome, yes there stiff, round town and stuff you really feel the bumps.....but when pushing the cars through the twisties....you can tell where your money went!!! and as far as spring rates go (i was unaware of this till after purchasing) I think you can specify what rates you want (or choose from a list?) your set to come with? not 100% sure, but it does specify different spring rates in the manual's i recieced with them (all in Japanese by the way). I was lookind at Apexi ones too before I went the teins...now Im glad i did
