  1. Wish I could have made it......pulled the car outta the shed this morning only to notice a nail in the rear sidewall DOH'....no trip to melb for me So i'll have to find out how I can join otherwise good to hear it was such a big turn out!! keep up the great work guys Berin
  2. awsome idea!!! No vid cam though nor do i know anyone with one, so guess i'll be stuck with trusting the passanger.....doh'
  3. yeah most the time we have to play catch up, but doesnt take long to send these heros searching for excuses...."it wazin in sports mode mate", "yeah, i do have 2 people in the car", "um....didnt want to show off"....hehehe guess they dont figure the fact there trying to haul round 1700kg of "sports car", I'm not agains Holdens or Fords or anything else for that matter, they can all make good power, it's just there wieght an handling capabilties holding them back really....
  4. yeah, i know 100% aint good. But injectors a big $$$ an wallets running on empty, so it'll have to do for a few months, just wont be pushing it on high boost much (DEBC onto low (9psi) boost for most driving) But XR6 turbos need to be put in there place hehe j/k
  5. paint all the mesh mat black (give it a kinda factory not 'tacky autobarn' look) an dump it an inch/inch an a half......an it'll look neat not a real fan of the 400r side vents, but looks good all the same.
  6. not 100% sure......running the same boost but using more fuel was the set up of my last tune (about a month ago), an I know then it was running 100% on full boost (was watching the hand controller) might take it for a bit of a road test over the weekend an find out.......well.....have someone else watch the controller, I of course, will have my eyes firmly set on the black top what % would you assume they would be running? just out of interest
  7. good work!! its always good to see results from a tuning session. You'd be surprised the difference fuel makes. Originally had mine tuned on optimax, then switched to Synergy8000, an now runs much better, cleaner, less smell, an more power. From what I hear on both here on the forums and from tuners, so long as you stick with either Synergy or Ultimate your pretty set. Anyway, good luck with the next tune, keep us posted. fuel cut defender, adj fuel reg, more boost.....go a long long way cheers
  8. duty cycle is about 100% at peak power. Thakns for the heads up, saving up as we speak for bigger injectors, but we all know the cost of R33 side fed injectors....., they HAD to be different to everything else...didnt they! know of any cheap sets somewhere by any chance?
  9. GTST - have your dyno graph that I could compare with? just to see what you mean by "smooth power delivery"? This is my everyday car, its smooth an streetable to me........I love it, cant wait to wind more out of it Its hardly a "wheel spin uncontrolably in the dry" car, It accelerates extremely fast and as smooth as i'd expect a turbo car running 18pound boost to be. so I dunno, bout the same as it was with stock turbo & fuel system felt, just more power.
  10. Thanks for the posative reply Geno8r list of mods Blitz s/s mesh pod HKS fmic hi-flow turbo (sourced exchange through Daltons Automotive) running 18psi HKS dump, Blitz s/s 3" front pipe, s/s hi-flow 3" CAT, Kakimoto Racing 3" cat back Stock engine, stock head, stock manifold, STOCK INJECTORS Malpassi Adjustable fuel regulator (rising rate, black version) Biggest (cant remember number) Bosch in tank fuel pump that'd fit Microtech LT-12 ECU
  11. Currently using Synergy8000, was usung optimax for ages.....noticed the fumes (exhaust) did actually smell more, an the synergy8000 runs cleaner. Not really fussed between Mobil or BP 98 fuels, both seem to be a good product. But like most, only opt for Shell when have to.
  12. thought I'd post up my last graph for everyone to pick at , it's not in shootout mode or anything, on a Dyno Dynamics machine in 4th gear an pump fuel. people tell me its "peaky"....wouldn't really know personally, i just enjoy driving it an putting the LOCAL AUSSIE cars to shame Car has: (power relevant) Blitz s/s mesh pod filter HKS front mount hi-flow turbo bosch internal fuel pump malpassi adj. rising rate fuel reg (black one) stock injectors running 18psi boost LT-12 Microtec ECU HKS dump pipe,3"Blitz front pipe, 3" hi flow cat, 3" kakimoto cat back 248rwkw @ 6100rpm an dont ask about 1/4 time caus it aint been run yet, plus the tein HA coilovers wont help, but come warmer wether an i'll try all the same
  13. TURBO: Hi-flow i got exchange through Daltons Automotive PEAKY: havent really compared it to any other graphs, so not sure.....as far as drivability though, power delivery is very smooth, an yes, rapid, starts spooling up round the 3500-4000 rpm mark. Not much bottom end really, which I'm hoping to rectify somehow in future. keep in mind that this is on a dyno....ie: no load, no resistance, no weight to push.....so its a bit more progressive on the road GEAR: in 4th an cuts off at 160kph.....not much point in graphing much further after peak is there? an the peak was @ 6100rpm the small dip in the power curve can be fixed by some head/manifold/inlet flowing an polishing etc.. is there a certain way the graph should look? open to any comments or ideas...i'm all for making it even better
  14. Wanted to fine tune my ride a bit further before MAS coming up soon, throwing it on the dyno there for a bit of fun. Further from my mods already I put a s/s Hiflow 3" cat in and it made a huge difference. Was thinking about going with some octain booster and a few other little tricks......but decided against it, thought id just be proud of whatever i could get off pump fuel (synergy8000). The tuning went far beyond what I had hope for!!!! initially after the last tune i had 224kW @ the rears.....so i was thinking, hopefully low 230's?? but low an behold.......my beast pumped out 248kW @ the rears!!!! i was STOKED to say the least probably also worth mentioning that this set up is still a little on the rich side at top end (which I prefer to be safe) and still on STANDARD INJECTORS :headspin: anyway, only few people really understood my excitement, so i thought I'd come on here an share my good news!! Fingers crossed that the dyno @ MAS reads a little higher than most (which I'm told they usually do) an I can get a hold of a 250kW+ dyno sheet  theres a pic attatched of the dyno sheet. RED line= power BLUE=torque the lower lines are from a few tunes ago, i think stock turbo @ full boost before i replaced it (round 18psi)
  15. part number on my HKB sports BOSS kit box says ON-177 on it, i got it from autobarn about 2 years ago, cost around $85 from memory. An yeah is to suit HICAS. good luck
  16. same vented bonnet as in there gallery, with extra vents behind radiator for cooling (kinda like the VeilSide bonnet). As far as looks go....yeah i guess its a little plain, but its the real deal and different. Plus as mentioned earlier......only 2 choices for SERIES 1 in jap (carbon top fibreglass under) carbon bonnets, plain with no vents, or butt ugly raised vents right at the front of the bonnet. no thanks, not my taste. The second one mentioned looks ok in the pic on UAS, but seen on an actual car.......... anyway, each to their own, I like to have a few things a little different from the norm. I'll be sure to post some pics whens its on....maybe even a poll? hehe or let me know your thoughts at MAS cheers
  17. hard to describe.....i'll wait till i get it on the car (which will be only a few days B4 autosalon) then take some pics an post em up. costing me around the $1550 mark for the bonnet plus freight etc.... cant wait till it arrives
  18. I am currently in the process of getting a www.customcarbon.com.au bonnet as we speak. It is genuine custom carbonfibre item, only 6mm thick and around 6Kg light I'm told(R33 gts-t bonnet 27kg). If you want to see it i'll have it on my car just before my car enters with the SAU stand @ autosalon in melb, sept 18-19. there a little more expensive than the UAS & carmate bonnets, but thats because there the real deal, not just a carbon top layer with fibreglass under. Plus if your like me, with a series 1 R33, then theres only one (UAS & carmate) vented bonnet style, which I dont really like. so custom was the only choise for me
  19. I'd be in, but depends on price and when available.....im lookin round for some direct fit injectors for my 33, round the 500-550cc mark. but wouldnt be looking to buy for another 2 months or so..... my injectors are just maxing out, so there a must have....eventually
  20. I'll deffinatly be there, Sunday barby an surrounded by skylines.....couldnt think of a better way to spend my Sunday see you all there
  21. Job: plain boring Mechanic Employer: good old Coles/Myer (Kmart tyre & auto)
  22. I'll be coming re: MAS final stuff......approx how long will the meeting be? (have to come from geelong), an is it more along the lines of a social get together after tea? or having tea at the hotel?
  23. the sideskirts look like the"GP Sports" bodykit (which usually includes a full rear bar).....so maybe thats what the pods are?
  24. the last picture in my post is on a GTR (purple).....its a Do-Luck kit, looks awsome, not sure if anyone makes a replica here yet or not though?
