Yeah I always clutch in when starting as it puts less strain on the starter motor plus I always park in gear. (no turbo timer)
but on those rare ocassions when you aren't in the car (eg, focused on the engine bay) it'd be a pain.
That Clutch in to start function sux balls... You can't just lean in, knock it into neutral and start it. Must be in the seat.
Hyundai have been doing that for probably 20 years. (found that out when a friend couldn't start her old Excel)
