  1. Joes post tells you how to replace the fluid (the rest is right too) but it doesn't flush it. There is a special pumping tool that auto trans shops have that you need to flush the fluid. It's not cheap and they use heaps of fluid to do it. I think I got quoted about $200 last time I checked. The only alternative I can think of would be to use the method Joe posted above then drive it for a week, do it again, drive for a week then do it one last time. That should get most of it flushed. Probably use about 12 litres which is what a shop would have used to flush it anyway but you save on labour costs. Massive pain in the arse though. Do the R33's have a drain plug? R34's do but R31's don't, dunno about R33 or R32.
  2. Not only would I appreciate it but plenty of other R34 owners would too.
  3. Umm http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=129353
  4. Interesting that the ebay one says R32, R33, R34 but R34 RB25 has different stud pattern so is there a seperate one or does he not realise this maybe?
  5. Blocked and crusty radiator?
  6. It measures pressure not air flow.
  7. Ok everyone. Time to ramp this track day up. Let's get second payments from those that have deposited and lets see if we can get another 10 spots filled in the next few weeks. If you are coming or thinking about it, let us know. If you've got a lame excuse then tell us so we can ridicule you into coming. Come on guys, this is the official SAU track day. Proper timing, all your Skyline friends should be there. Also need a few more flag marshalls. Please put your hand up for that if you haven't already.
  8. That's old Doodz. It's true though. Happened about 5-6 years ago I think. I got a ticket in Canberra once. 67 in the 60.
  9. Always.
  10. How is it bassy? Where will you be sitting or standing when you are listening to it? Did you know that a 63Hz sound wave (roughly the frequency of a kick drum) takes about 4.8 metres to travel so if you are any closer than that to the speakers you wont hear it.
  11. Yeah but you can at least look at the pistons.
  12. I guess I should have been a little clearer. I meant that in the event that your stock AFM is maxed out, you do this and get a full retune. As a side issue I was questioning whether the relationship between fuel and air flow was directly proportional, ie would it be close if you upped the injector size by random% and then increased the cross sectional area, using the abovementioned method, by the same percentage? I guess your answer is that it wouldn't be good enough but I wonder how close it would be?
  13. Had a bit of an accident. Sad to say there was alcohol involved.
  14. Nice one B-Man, I should have the secret to myself
  15. They're not R32 N1's are they?
  16. Not R33 GTST but yes to R34 GTT
  17. Auto or manual? That looks like the classic 'Rich and Retard' because of too much boost. Try dropping the boost to 11 psi and see if you get an improvement.
  18. Only once we get someone to replace you.
  19. Ok so I think it was TurboX who modified his AFM making the cross sectional area bigger while keeping the rest intact. I think the idea was to increase the cross sectional area - and hopefully the airflow at the same time - by a set % and then have your injector size increased by the same percentage thus equalling each other out. Perhaps then give a little tune and away you go. I think also Autospeed did this. Anyway, what if, instead of butchering your AFM you put a small bypass tube of a specific size in. More air would be going through than is being metered so you could conceivably keep your stock AFM when upgrading your turbo. What do you all think?
  20. Yes it is bigger. It seems to me here that with turbos being basically equal the limiting factor is the compressor cover. It's too small. Both R33 RB25 and NEO got similar power in the end but the R34 needed less boost. This is because the NEO has bigger exhaust valves, they are actually 1 mm larger than the RB26 ones.
  21. I bet you there is someone over there who can rebuild your stocker to pretty good specs. What power level are we talking about and what kind of driving? Any drag racing? Also, R33 GTR clutch is a straight fit so anything that is sold to fit that car will fit yours.
  22. You are welcome. As long as you have an L2S licence or get one. To get one you need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated club such as Skylines Australia.
  23. He obviously doesn't pay attention to Skylines in the news or he would have seen the Skyline that crashed because they were driving too fast on a space saver. Didn't one of them die?
