  1. It should still be fine. Mine is mounted 'upside down' but I don't always empty it anyway. I change the oil that bloody often these days it shouldn't matter.
  2. Look after my cams now
  3. 1. that's right 2. yes 3. get a stocker from someone.
  4. As if you can't tell the difference between 10km/h and 140km/h. Get real.
  5. http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/vsb/PDF/...es_3Feb2006.pdf 2.1 Choice of replacement engine - The power and/or torque of the replacement engine should not exceed the capaicty of the vehicle driveline. There goes your RB30DET with an RB20DET gearbox. 2.2 Replacement components such as camshafts... engine management systems, exhaust systems, etc. are not permitted unless it can be demonstrated that the ehicle continues to meet the appropriate gaseous and noise emmission standards. Note: the fitting of NOS injection systems is not permitted. There goes PFC, most exhausts, cams, probably cam gears, unless emmissions tests are still passable. That also seems to say that removing your nos bottle is not longer acceptable.
  6. Troy that story does not get published on the forums. The mechanic who took it for the pink slip test drive bottomed it out but I don't. I raised the cooler while the car was out of action so it went up an inch and the car came down an inch. I modified the front bar a little with help from 666dan. My rims are cheap and nasty but I would love some nice black 18's. (maybe like these ones http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...owtopic=106464) or better still some nismo lmgt4 or whatever they are called - I'm not very good with the names. Just don't have the cash atm.
  7. Nuh uh. I've been using it for ages. I upload my pics in a hidden thread then link to them in the thread I want them in.
  8. The diffs are a different ratio but still very close so don't need to change. Speedo will only be out about 3k's at 100.
  9. Ahh that brings back memories. I lived in the NT for 2 years and saw some amazing stuff but digital cameras were not affordable or any good then. I want to go back just to take some pics. How are the stars when you are so far away from the city lights? Awesome.
  10. Thanks brendan. The car has been resprayed after a minor accident and the spray painter had trouble matching the factory pearl paint. They never put the badges back on.
  11. On my front bar there is a black plastic unpainted section with Skyline written on it. It's gotten scuffed and faded and I once stupidly sanded part of it trying to even up the colour. Anyway I was thinking about painting it and asked at the hardware shop near my work (which just happens to be owned by a fellow forums members father) and got steered towards the auto section. I found this stuff called Forever Black. There is a whole range of this stuff for tyres and ute trays and all kinds of black stuff. Basically it's a dye. They say it's the same kind that the car manufacturers use. I should have taken a pic of the before but I didn't have very high hopes and forgot about it. It has done a great job and here are a couple of pics.
  12. It works! Thanks for the compliments guys. 4 doors are becomming more common but there's still not too many about. This'll do for now. You can still click on the things in the first post to get the rest. ps - thanks ignuz.
  13. Let's try this.
  14. Damn you beat me to it!!!
  15. I found out that some previous owner of my car had removed the rear shims so I bought some from Nissan which cost me about $60 as a kit. I put them in as per the instructions and my squealing has gone.
  16. You can't use dynamic links between the tags. Also when you upload pics they don't appear as thumbnails anymore.
  17. Here are the first pics of my car clean and running with it's new engine. Also has some bilstein shockies in it now which appear to have lowered it about an inch.
  18. Keep you eyes on the event section for cruises, meets, track days, etc etc.
  19. I've never SEEN brown smoke out of my exhaust but I have seen the exhaust turn brown when I know it was running very lean.
  20. yes.
  21. If it goes away with clutch depressed then afaik it's the trust bearing.
  22. This question was asked about a month ago and I provided an answer. Check the second most recent zoom magazine for a full diagram showing it.
  23. And in todays news the one I uploaded a 2 or 3 days ago just appeared.
  24. If there is enough interest we should be able to fit in a drift session. I think from memory I got 5 track days and about 10,000 k's out of my compliance tyres (read cheap and nasty) so yes there will be some major wear but as long as they are not almost gone already you will still get many more k's out of them.
  25. They are good but dusty. I've been to about 20 track days with them. The next step down from bendix will do the job reasonably well.
