  1. Thanks for the info on Lumley Special Vehicles. Got a quote from them for $777 for the 2006 V35 350GT. Currently paying RACV $1,600 so will be switching over pretty soon indeed!

  4. Hi guys, As those of you on the Facebook group would already know, I can't make it this Friday due to work commitments. However, I will be able to make the ZClub Christmas party on Sunday at Nissan Dandenong and since most of you are coming for that one, I've decided to cancel the Friday meet. For those on you not on ZClub yet, recommend that you join up and drop by this Sunday as there will be a few V35s there as well. Facebook link for the ZClub party is below for those who are keen. http://www.facebook.com/#!/events/537925026235358/ Cheers, Keith
  5. Thanks William. I'm using a XO2 true dual 2.5 inch cat back exhaust system (aka HKS replica) combined with a Magnaflow X-pipe to even out the tone. If you are interested, Josh (gzklah) has a spare XO2 exhaust system. The Magnaflow X-pipe is only about $125 from ebay. Assembled by the guys a Revzone in Ringwood. Hope to see you and your twin turbo V35 at our next Garage Cafe meet. Cheers, Keith
  6. Hey guys, Due to the fact that some of us cannot make it on the 30 November, I have moved this event to the following Friday instead (i.e. 7 December 2012). Location: Garage Cafe at 221 Berkeley St. Carlton Date: Friday 7 December 2012 Time: 630pm to late Cheers, Keith
  7. Excellent idea. Please post up more details of the Import Monster meet. We might do both!

Mat (SmokeyC34), come along and bring your brand new V35 addition! Cheers, Keith
  9. Hi guys, Is anyone keen for a cruise tomorrow down the Bay to Mornington and perhaps further down to Arthur's Seat? Cheers, Keith
  10. Whoops, just saw that the carsales ad identifies is as a 2003 model. In any case, use the attached link to get to the JP centre calculator. Input CPV35-[insert last 6 digits of the VIN number] and you will get the details of the year and month of production. http://jpcenter.ru/month Just an additional verification tool in your quest for the new car.
  11. FYI - I must have missed it in the car sales ad but based on the JPcentre calculator, the car is a April 2003 Series 1 model. Extremely low mileage for a 9 year old car.
  12. Got burned financially for three years in a row. Decided that its time for a break this year. :-)
  13. BTW, happy birthday mate! Hope you are having a good one. Notwithstanding your difficulties with Microsoft Word!
  14. Ok...off topic but is anyone up for a cruise either on the Monday before Melbourne Cup Day (5 Nov) or Melbourne Cup Day itself (6 Nov)?
  15. Pot - Kettle - Black - Its your old xorst! (with some X-factor added) hehe....
  16. That's a very valid point. There is a downward shift in the local market because of all the undercutting and lack for demand for V35s in general and in such an environment, you should be able to find a good buy. But you have to also be careful if sifting thru a lot of the dodgy stuff that out there from dealers (i.e. clocked back KMs). Also, the shift in the market from import to local is also being felt by the importers, who may be inclined to give you a better deal during the import process. For me, I prefer the control that the import process give you but I do acknowldge that there is always a possibility of getting a good deal locally. Heck of a lot quicker as well and less hassle.
  17. Yup. That's is Mr Jian's place. Never bought from him before but the prices seem ok at first glance. Do your usual due diligence and always ask to see the actual auction sheet for the vehicle to confirm the KMs. There is no excuse for them not having this. Original service books (with the service intervals stamped in Japanese) may or may not be available (mine took 5 months to arrive after the car) but it is obviously a plus if there is one.
  18. Hi...Will the guy who turned up with the twin turbo V35 in Pearl White please come to the next meet. A lot of the other V35 members who came later missed a chance to check out your ride...
  19. I know the place. It is Mr Jian's place. Nuwan used to have his workshop right next to Mr Jian before he moved to the new premises down the road. Website below. http://www.luxuryandperformancevehicles.com.au/index.html Or you can go down the same road I did and pick your own and import it direct from Japan. I used Nuwan from Import Revolution for my 2006 V35. Will definately be cheaper than buying local.
