  1. Cool..the Zed club guys will be joining us as well.
  2. Hi guys! See below for details of our next Garage Cafe meet. ====================== Location: Garage Cafe at 221 Berkeley St. Carlton Date: Friday 19 October 2012 (yup..this coming Friday) Time: 630pm to late ======================= Apologies, posted this on the Facebook page for Melbourne V35 owners earlier this week but forgot to post it here for the non-Facebook members (i.e. Andrew and Chris etc). A bit earlier that normal this month but I'll be overseas during the end of this month plus only two V35s turned up last month so I haven't had the chance to catch up with you guys since. Hope to see you all there! Cheers, Keith p.s. Weather is looking good so hopefully we can get a few cruises in during November.
  3. Probably easier to drive back down the Princes Highway after the meet cuz of different start times :-)
  4. Just an update to my original post. Got the Magnaflow x-pipe installed a couple of days ago. I expected the exhaust guys to remove the XO2 H pipe and reweld the Magnaflow x-pipe in its place but instead they kept my H pipe and replaced the 350GT extensions with the x-pipe instead. So, the system now runs as follows: headers > cats > y pipe> h pipe> resonators > x pipe> mufflers. Not sure if it would have been any different but I can safely say that the 90% of the drone has been eliminated. The low notes have been preserved and if anything, have been refined by the x-pipe. So Sean, spot on as advised by your Facebook buddies. Will be aiming to get a decent sound recording soon. Will post it up once that's done. Cheers guys.
  5. Hey guys, GTCC are organising a Go-Karts Interclub Challenge between four car clubs on Sunday, 4 November 2012 at Ace Karts (Sunshine). So far, other than GTCC, the FT-86 club has confirmed. Our Z-Club cousins have got four drivers confirmed from their end and I will be going as well but we need another five more drivers. Please see below the details for the event. Is anyone from SAU keen to lend a hand and participate in this as a joint effort with Z-Club? Final race format and price ... Race format Each club will chose their 10 best drivers (paired) 1 X 15 Min Qualifying, 1 X 40 Min Race. Drivers are paired up and racing involves assisting their team mate in/out of karts as the time ticks away. It adds another aspect of racing. ## 1st team place wins trophy for their club in the Interclub Challenge. ## There is also usually a wooden spoon prize Venue Ace Karts (Sunshine) Terrific Venue. GTCC have used them tons of times. Price: $75/driver (includes Lunch/drinks) * Small fee for spectators Date: Sunday, 4th November 2012 Couple of rules: 1) No professional drivers. :-) 2) Friendly / Sportsmanship behaviour at all times.
  6. No worries...more the merrier... Btw, getting a magnaflow X-pipe installed this Weds. Should help with the drone of the XO2. Still haven't done a proper recording of how it sounds. You need two people for that plus a relatively open and quiet area...I'm thinking the top of the Sugerloaf Dam where there is a 2km straight..hehe..
  7. Hi guys! See below for details of our next Garage Cafe meet. ====================== Location: Garage Cafe at 221 Berkeley St. Carlton Date: Friday 28 September 2012 Time: 630pm to late ======================= Seeing as how I couldn't make it for the last meet, hoping to meet up with the regulars as well as the new guys (Richard and Trav). Hope to see more new faces as the weather warms up. Please post up your attendance so I can book the venue. Cheers, Keith
  8. From what i understand, the Fujitsubo is one of the more 'quiet' exhausts you can get, so while there may be some minor performance gains, from a sound perspective, it will sound quite close to stock. One of the Zclub members, Ana (Ms 3Fiddy) has it on her 350z roadster. You should pop by to their next meet to have a listen. The Exotic Speed however, has more grunt in terms of sound. Was looking to get this but it was above my budget at $1,158 excluding delivery from ebay. Ask Shiva for his thoughts on this. He recently got one second hand for a bargain price on this forum :-)
  9. I should probably add to the original vs knock off debate to say that the fitment on my XO2 exhaust was way off. Not just the tips mind you but both of the pipes had to be cut and welded to make it fit. Set me back $650 just for the rectification works. Mate of mine got the same exhaust from the same company at the same time, and his fits perfectly other than some misaligned tips. So...end of the day, this is a risk that you take in going done the knock off path. If you are lucky, (like 90% of the others), there will be no issues. But you could be the 10% that encounter fitment issues with no right of recourse against the manufacturer..(cuz there isn't one! (other than perhaps Top Speed).
  10. Haha! I finally got spotted....that was probably me on my way to see the Revzone guys to discuss the installation of a Magnaflox X-pipe! What colour is your car Trav?
  11. Hi there, Is anyone out there running with an XO2 catback/Magnaflow X pipe combination where the X pipe replaces the XO2's H pipe? It apparently reduces the drone substantially. Just got myself an XO2 and am now considering whether I should get the Magnaflow X pipe. Cheers, Keith
  12. Spotted a white V35 with a Giala grill and a Nismo wing exiting Mitcham Private Hospital around 4pm today.
  13. Just a reminder that this is still on, although I may be car-less (Hoping that Revzone guys manage to get the exaust on by Friday.) Look forward to see you all...and Norby and Richard, you are most welcome to join us!
  14. Spotted JTAN today while waiting at the lights at the intersection of King St and Collins St.
  15. Popping by Revzone next Tuesday. Quoted me $80 to put the xorst on plus the time it takes for them to fix the fitment issues. They have a xorst welding specialist there but he only works weekdays. Will let you know the total damage after I pick it up.
  16. Yep. It is on. Hoping to get my new exhaust fitted by then as well. :-)
  17. Hi guys! See below for details of our next Garage Cafe meet. ====================== Location: Garage Cafe at 221 Berkeley St. Carlton Date: Friday 31 August 2012 Time: 630pm to late ======================= Hope to see the regulars as well as a few new faces. Please post up your attendance so I can book the venue. Cheers, Keith
  18. It is a March 2003 car. Based on the ebay ad, its Nissan model number is CPV35-503750. Punch that number into this link below and you get the date of manufacture - March 2003. http://jpcenter.ru/month Danger danger!
  19. Agree that it sounds fishy.. Couldn't resist...found the ad on carsales. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-2006-12802841?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=0&eapi=2&__N=1216+4294739354+1246+1247+1252+1282+4294963846+4294963593+903+4294678014&find=v35|CarAll&silo=Stock&num=15&sort=Year Based on the photos...it is not a 2006 car (i.e. Series 3). It has the old tail lights, headlights and front bumper. It is not even a Series 2 as the interior radio fascia is a Series 1 fascia (not aluminum). Cloth seats so not a premium (I believe that from 2005 onwards, all came with leather seats, whether premium or not)...which supports the argument that it is pre 2005.
  20. Silver v35..plates Thrty5...Natalie's restaurant in Ringwood. 1hr ago
  21. No worries mate..hope you get better soon...I'm prob not the only one keen on your ride so might wait for you to bring it to the next meet.. which will probably be the last Friday of August (31st),..lock it in....cheers
  22. That's fine Igor. It will still go ahead. I drove in to town too. I think there are 3 confirmed and a couple of maybies. See you there later today. Plus, I want to check out Chris B's G37 S edition!
  23. Hi guys, I hate to do this but from the looks of things, it may be better to postpone this meet to next Friday instead. GImme a yay if this works for most people and I'll push it to next week. Cheers, Keith
