  1. What price did you get from them?
  2. i think he was just trying to make a point buster... a valid one at that... getting a LADA in the 11's would probably be more of a challenge than a gtst etc... Since thats what you said you enjoy, wouldn't it make it more enjoyable?
  3. GTR.... lots of reasons, its a GTR, its got 4wd, rb26 etc... better/stronger car all around? also its going to hold its value alot more than a gtst that has been modded when did you last see a gtst going for 45k?
  4. fooey - yeah marbs - mate from qw back in the old days, still speak to him on icq etc how do you know him? sure i can give you a few tips if we are there at same time.. but no, putting your weight on your front foot won't make you go faster, only cause to you be in more control, rather than using the back half of your board to turn, you'll be useing the WHOLE board - gotta be better right? most people who haven't had a lesson, or been taught by friends, ride on thier back foot... i used to do it too when i started
  5. LaL - could you get me a photo of the rear? thanks
  6. not from the rear half that i can think of... mmm does it have a rear bar/rear pods?
  7. or it may just be a bolt/nut that needs tightening that extra 1/2 turn
  8. 8000k is to high, takes away some colours to make it look blue/purple... I really want factory GTR xenon lights.... anyone know where to get them from brand new or how much they are? or anyone know of any being sold in excellent condition?
  9. fooey - just remember to use your front foot to turn and keep your knees bent, very simple things but people who had been snowboarding for years used to come to me riding on thier back foot with straight legs... only thing with the bus is you have to park your car at/near where you catch the bus?
  10. Good to hear you didn't loose your rims, thats what counts... but yeah anyone can just hammer on a socket that is a tiny bit to small and use that to get the locknut off, or use a chisel etc... only so much you can do... best is to park somewhere with high visibilty to people walking past, lots of lights etc... or dont park at all
  11. http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/t-42969.html 56k warning on obove link
  12. bump, still looking
  13. BB - yeah going to queenstown - i've been there twice before, been to all the mountains on the south island as well, and yeah cardrona is my fav, TC has some good freeriding as well tho, i didn't like remarkables when i went since it didn't have good snow cover so lots of rocks..., corenet peak is ok to muck around in the park... yeah i thought that was the deal with chains - have to carry them but dont have to put them on - wouldn't want to put them on my wheels would scratch the fsk outta them i got some old chains from my old car i can just carry them... 2wd drive cars dont have to use them, unless its been/is snowing heavy.. even then you can still get away with not putting them on... no one in the usa uses them, but they all have snow tyres but they all do like 80mph on the interstate right to the mountain
  14. yeah i second a go-kart meet sometime soon the one in keysbourgh (i think? le-mans gokarts wherever that is), isn't to bad... pretty safe to park our skylines there as well...
  15. Yeah, got about 400days under my belt - a few seasons teaching in the usa helped that count Going to NZ in aug/sep with a few mates, wouldn't mind trying to get up to the snow here a couple of times... do you know what the deal is with chains on a 4wd? do you need them or what?
  16. Could be interested to
  17. Is there any purpose of these? cept for looks (for those that like carbon fibre looks)? how much is the weight difference between this and a standard one?
  18. pawson - what type of headlights are they? xenon doesn't mean HID>... you can get HID conversion kits for normal lights... I'm after genuine GTR Xenons....
  19. Same, 6000rpm in 5th was 270,, it was still pulling
  20. guessing this is a push type clutch?
  21. haha you'll cry if you see mspecs list, he made one up a while ago and emailed it to me... its insane... mods aren't huge, just bit of bad luck and hard driving
  22. thanks 2.5k new? i thought they were more than that... somone has a set for 1900, but i haven't viewed them.. asked him for photos... where did you get them new from?
  23. i think he means with standard gear / diff ratios, 5th gear, redlined (~7000rpm)? if you can get there, then what would the speed be... i'm guessing 240-250
