Best person to ask would be the person whos spraying it i'm guessing? depends what they do after they have sprayed it? it definatly needs a coat of wax etc.. if you can, get him to do it etc...

hmmm i don't understand where this myth comes from that you can't jump fuel injected / computer driven cars? as for the earth....where do you think the body earth ends up? .... to the negative terminal To answer your question...Yeah you can jump it no problems - just dont mix up the negative/positive, that will do some damage sounds like somethings isn't turning off and is draining your battery car alarm? stereo? amp? if you can't track it down, probbaly worth taking to an auto-electrician?

meshmesh - yep thats the part I was quoted 100 dollars from UPI for the whole lock, Dean said if i take it down there he can take it off, put another one on temporary, get a new one coded to fit my old one, and put it back on... guessing that will be extra on the 100 dollars... Hmm maybe i should try doing it myself like you mesh.... much the same, i'm no mechanic but i can take things apart and (usually) get them back together ... maybe you could give me some breif instructions if you can still remember mesh? the Nismo one would be good, but dont fancy my chances of finding one.. and probably even more likely to get stolen

My sidelights are still the yellowish/normal headlight colour - as opposed to the whiter colour of my new headlights i just put in..

I put some of those Philips vision plus 50% more light bulbs in last night, they seem a bit better.. (not as good as a HID setup tho ) ~$40 from autobarn - they didn't have osram - who has osram locally? I need some of the sidelights now - what type/where can i get those from?

I noticed last night the cover for my key to open the boot, the nissan one that slides up and down... its gone.. No idea if it was stolen or just fell off - i generally dont park anywhere dodgy that it would happen.. it was there last night when i left work.. went to autobarn for 5mins, parked right out the front, closest to door... then went to a mates house where i doubt it would of happened then noticed it.. anyways - is it easy to replace? can they fall off? or was it likely snapped/stolen? My 33GTR does a similar thing... not for as long tho - only first minute or two when cold. The acceleration isn't smooth (i dont let it rev high when its cold anyway) but after a couple of minutes when its warmed a little its smooth as... its like i keep my foot on the gas the same amount but the car jitters, like instead of just accelerating in a smooth line, it jumps a tiny bit.. hard to explain

I have an excedy heavy duty single plate - it holds on fine with normal drive, i does slip sometimes if i dump it hard, but i've been told this is probaly because its on its way out... Not sure what Ben from race pace says about clutchs.. he just did my tune etc...

Want to get some replacment bulbs for my GTR - can't justify spending 2k on HID stuff.. Looking at Osram Silver Star or Philips Vision Plus What size do skylines take (specifically my 33GTR) ? H1? Thinking of ordering some Osram from http://www.powerbulbs.com Would i want the H1's? How easy are they to fit? (I haven't looked at the headlight assembly yet)?

RedLineGTR - thanks thats what i thought... my gf's series 2 33 GTS has that rough surface.... in my GTR is more of a smooth surface, the layout looks the same so hopefully it iwll fit... paulr33 - there is basically space for 3 single din sized units in all GTS/GTST/GTR.. the GTR uses one of those for its set of 3 guages, where as the GTS/GTST generally has a double din head unit, or a spacer etc... so that part will fit fine as far as i can tell.... Will find out - will be picking up a gtst dash this week and seeing if it fits .. i have taken off the stereo/climate control side, but haven't taken it the whole way off before - its still attached at the right hand side of the steering wheel - anyone know of the top of thier head how to get that part off - where the screws/clips are?

are the dash surrounds in these 3 cars interchangeable? the surround im talking about is the big plastic part that goes around your stereo/climate control/instrument cluster etc... is there any difference? some colour/texture is different i belive?
