Hi paulr33, yes your help and everybodies has been priceless!! I have my headset installed now, as in i did all the wiring up of the bad boy and i now officially have beats! however, im still waiting on Nissan for the cradle / mounts to actually hold the sucker in there. ATM she is simply jammed into the hole and held there by the trusty ol tape of the Gaffa variety! :wassup: One of the rear speakers is stuffed tho, its brand new, but it sounds as if it has been blown, i have checked all the connections and they are sweet so it may be the wiring from the headset to the speaker...so im gonna swap over the wires and see if its just the speaker or the wiring itself... Thanks for all you help guys, if i have any more probs i will be posting here for sure. Haro

My 33 has stocko on it ATM. As for the other 18s....i dont know what the offset is actually, maybe i better figure that out, they have 245s on them at the moment i think (does that sound right?) I will get more info and post back here soon. Thanks for your help Haro

HI, Will a set of 18s that came off a r32 Gts-t fit my R33 Gts-t....i would just wak them on and find out myself but i have not got the rims yet AND when i do get them they wont have any rubber.....no point in me investing in new rubber if they wont fit. *****Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!********* Haro

Thanks for your help guys! I ordered a new plug from kenwood to go into the back of the headset so that is one thing done. NOW as for the adapter plug for the adapter i was pretty confident that the stereo that was in there was infact a kenwood item, but seeing as though kenwood has not changed their plug for about 10years (according to a Northfield guy) i may have got the previous brand wrong. I have a pic of the interior of my car whilst in Japan...but no close up of the stereo....Does anybody recognise the Brand??? Im pretty sure its a kenwood (coz the remote is a kenwood) *any ideas why the plug would be different would be greatly appreciated* As i would prefer NOT to have to "re do" all the wires and start from scratch if u know what i mean. I think i will go direct through Nissan for the cradle bracket thingo seems like the easiest and most reliable way. Thanks again... keep the ideas or solutions heading this way. Haro

I gotta say im enjoying reading people's opinions and gripes! i am with "revhead" also, i did the same thing with my mini and ET taught myself the basics, again, by now means am i a mechanic but i can also get myself outta trouble and its a nice way to be. I agree with "pstanbis" about people thinking they can handle a powerful car with little or no experience....kidding yourself and your mate sitting next to you in the passenger seat. Just remember no car mixes well with poles, walls and other cars or trucks at the BEST of times...let alone when an inexperienced driver is at the wheel. Driver trainning is essential these days....experience gained with defensive drivers courses IS priceless, (ask revhead and im sure many others also). Consider it a $400 investment for preservation of your own and maybe other lives or wellbeing. Yes LAL's mummy and daddy did buy him that GTR at the tender age of low 20s....in my opionion probably not a good option but jelousy may play a small part in that .BUT HEY ...like they say "wouldnt it be nice...." Haro

Well 250 each is probably about the norm in alot of places for an 18" rims with no tyres, consider it will cost you about 300 for a good tyre so all up your looking at about 2200 for a full set ready to go....many places are offering wheel and tyre packages for 18s at around that price. Mind you if you can choose ANY lenso wheel then thats not too bad!! hope that helps give u an idea. Haro

HAHAHA This is a funny / interesting thread!! Well i can say, yes i may be young (21) and yes im driving a 33 skyline GTS-t but i would like to think that i dont fit into the yound D I C K head catagory in an overpowered car with an underpowered level of common sense or knowledge. My first was a 76 1100cc Mini Clubman S and it taught me the basics and a few lil tricks with how to maintain a vehicle. Yes i paid for it when i was 16 coz i busted my balls workin at a servo for years to save up. I still have the mini (be to sad to let her go) but when i got to 18 i felt as tho i needed sumfin a lil different, it was the step up to a 1500cc with a turbo....yes the classic Nissan Pulsar ET Turbo was the next ride in my garage....again paid for it ALL myself with no handouts from anybody. Once that was gone, its 33 a big step from 1.5 turbo FWD ! but not too crazy. AGAIN all funded by myself. SURE my parents probably could have bought me a "nice car" to start with but it all honestly it would not have been a good idea....goin from passenger in mum's mazda to driver in a 6cyl Turbo RWD is not the smartest of options in my opinion. Im not sayin that anybody may be a crappy driver, but i know that not enough people have any trainning in defensive driving or handling a vehicle at high speeds........ Yes is annoys me to see young "kids" in hot cars such as skylines, but nothin to do with being jelous that mummy or daddy bought the car for them....its just there is a good chance that mummy and daddy didnt think the car was "THAT FAST" or "THAT POWERFUL" or could "SPIN OUT SO EASILY" and so on.... Just remember people..... Time and a place.... 2 cents deposited. haro

Saw a green R33 with stealth wing, front mount and nice rims pulling into regatta carpark on sunday night / monday morn. Full car, sitting low, scraped exhaust hard whilst goin up small ramp into second carpark area. OUCH!! :Oops: many a boozed idiot THAT sunday at the gatta! haro

HI, My double din stereo got flogged by the warfies when my sline was on the boat, when they ripped it out they also took the aluminium case or cradle that holds the headset into the dash. Does anybody know where i can get a replacement item? Im in brisbane, do YOU have one?? Also, i got a replacement double din kenwood item with CD and MD from Japan BUT the plugs do not match up at the rear of the headset (despite the fact that the stolen one was also a kenwood double din MD / CD item of the same vintage) SO second problem....where do i get a new plug to match?? Does anybody have one of those?? any help would be greatly appreciated.... I NEED MY BEATS! Haro

If u are looking for a pair of good bulbs for any car, have a look on ebay.com.au and search for "bulbs" heaps of jap style bulbs to choose from! i have put a set in my sisters NX coupe (NXT51) , my old ET Pulsar AND my 76 Mini!! Hi people, well its been a long time comming but i have finally got my 33 on the road (been stuffing around for a while) It be black and lookin VERY stocko ATM except for exhaust and air filter. I have a side mount number plate and a rather large wing (for a standard effort) with a lil round LED brake light in the middle....SEEN ME YET?? Around Brisbane's western suburbs...toowong, milton, bardon, st lucia, rosalie, etc etc etc.... give me a wave.... HAro
