Freaking amateur hour at the Pig. Who the hell shows up late to an interview that they are running? I've had people I'm interviewing be late but I'm always ready to go minimum 15 minutes before the interview. Bad start, if they are this disorganized when interviewing a new manager how bad is the rest of it?

Nothing is set in stone yet. Got a shift running the place tomorrow night and final decision will be made by both parties next week (they may like me, I may not like them or possibly vice versa.) It's at Archive in West End. Got interviews with the Pig N Whistle at riverside and the Melbourbe Hotel as well.

Going to go in and see what it's like to work there. Different role to what I've done in the past, more hands on and less administration. I think I'd like that however. Pay isn't quite as good as what I was on at the Fox but work environment will more than make up for it. I'll let you all know where if I end up with the job Now to prepare for my next interview in 45 minutes.

Job interview today makes me happy in my pants. Wish people would speed things up when hiring, I've had a few interviews now and they are all in decision making mode and I get to sit around twiddling my thumbs waiting for a response.

Damn, if that price is accurate they have to be the best option out there once you throw a tire/fuel rack onto the front.

Their logic is closed minded and simplistic but they make sure that what 90% of people want works almost 100% of the time and works with no dramas and is just idiot proof. That's why they have succeeded. They have made stuff that a moron can use and they make it seem cool. I own more apple stuff than I care to name. I bought most of it because it just worked and I wasn't after anything complex.

There are apparently a lot of JDM cars now going to South africa and Russia which is forcing the price up as there is more competition for the cars. Australian market has tanked but the foreign markets are strong which makes life tough. But that's just my view of it all. Great bargains if you buy local, look at what I got, 34 GT-T in great shape with some expensive mods for $10,500. A similar 34 from Japan with lower mileage was going to cost me at least $16k

Didn't the first iriver come out over a year after the first iPod? Late 02 for their first HDD based player if memory serves. Their CD players were the bomb and they had great features. I had a couple a friends in uni who owned them and their DAP's have brilliant features not many have even today. Just saying that when the iPod came out in '01 it had no competition as a HDD based player. They had nearly a full year to build a solid lead. Players after it have been much better, same with android phones vs iPhones, but they had the big head start that will be so hard to beat.

At the time it was far and above the best out there. The Rio and JUKEBOX lines by Diamond and Creative respectively were rubbish compared to the iPod and there were only a handful of HDD players available, there were certainly great flash based options but would you take a 128mb flash player or a 5gb iPod when they cost the same amount. I didn't buy an apple product until Sony killed local support for MD's I miss my MD player. I could get 6 or so albums on the larger capacity disks and also in line, real time digital recording from a portable player? Yes please! I used to get mates who DJ'd to slot it in to a house system after the mixer but before the amps so I could record their live sets. I had so many of the damn disks it wasn't funny.

Next iPhone update will probably be announced at the same time as the annual iPod update. Announcement is usually in September if they follow the same trend of the last 9 years. iPod update would also take a big chunk of advertising space, particularly in the months just before Xmas.

Maybe that's the plan, to leave him over there
