NKG iridium sparkies Standard nissan oil filter Grab a new k&n pod or panel filter Motul turbo light oil (i think its the 15w 50 or 45) Red line shockproof gearbox oil Might want a new fuel filter if you're not sure about your current one. Besides that you might want to inspect the belts and see if they want changing too, but i have no idea when it comes to those. They may not need replacing at all but if you're eager then why not. Other than that if you had any mods i'd check their state of tune and note them down on paper, then adjust any that seem too agressive eg boost levels a/f ratios etc. I say this only because the mind set of the previous owner might not be the same as yours (eg they are loaded and dont mind blowing engines up). The parts listed above might be considered premium but you did say "best" didn't you? M

the alarm is a tad odd at times... it stopped making noises when armed and unarmed so i might get that checked. so its either that or the stalk eh? i'll check em both out. cheers all.

The other day i started my car up to go for a spin and noticed that there is a noise that sounds very much like the clicking of the indicators but twice as fast coming from the steering column of my car. It seems to be pretty intermittent at this time... sometimes clicking away like a mad man for a few seconds at a time other times it clicks incessantly for a few mins. It doesnt seem to be triggering the the actual indicatore light (on the outside of the car) but i could have sworn that i once caught the left indicator dash light faintly fiicking on and off. Twiddling the indicator stick (just indicating left or right) or turning the wheel sometimes fixes it up other times it just stops itself. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it is or how to fix it? it doesnt appear to be causing any probs but its bloody annoying and i kinda prefer my car not to do weird and unexplained things. Oh and before i forget, the only thing i did that was out of the ordinary before this happened was to drive home in the pouring rain the other day in the middle of wednesdays big a$$ storm. The indicator in my front left qtr panel is missing so a little water may have got in there but i would havye thought it would have dried out by now. Cheers in advance.

After 6 months of being on pleb transport my license has finally been returned. As a few of you know i was booked running from a guy who tried to ram me a yeah ago. Moral of the story... dont speed even if u think u have good reason to, or alternatively do speed but dont stop for the cops... just kidding I had to take a break from the forums while the license was gone... too muych temptation to drive when hearing about everyone elses ride. But now i'm back on the road... still failing to be spotted despite an ugly ass dent in my front left quarter. So... anyone miss me? anyone??

Funky, you seem to know alot about the extras you could get. Would you happen to know what the black box thing on the back shelf labeled "Puretron" is? Guesses so far are a de-ionizer or an air purefier of some kind.... thats my "warp engine" mentioned above... no one else i've spoken to has one.

Odd, I have a type M and as far as i know it hgas no abs. It also has a sun roof... something i didnt see mentioned on the above link.... But it does have a warp drive

UAS - Johns always been kind to me... good prices sound advice and he's never tried at "sell" me extras by telling me "this is broken you'll need to replace it.... and i just so happen to have this one here". Instead i think he's had a PI follow me around to discover my vices. All he does now is go "Look whats i've just got in" with an evil gleam in his eyes as he quotes me low price.... then he twists the knife by saying "oh this ones already sold but if u wait XX days i'll have one for you" when i say "ok i'll take it". But to be more serious UAS to me is the perfect place. It has a store you can browse through instead of just a work shop. The staff are friendly and knowledge able and most importantly.... they didnt heckle me too much when i bought in my car to be fixed only to find it was a cracked sparkie.... although i did "let" him keep it as a "what not to do to a plug" demo. Now if only he'd take me up on my offer of working for parts.

i dont know whats wrong exactly, but my moneys on a power drain somewhere. i checked today to see if its magically gone away (as sorts occasionally do) but iinstead its sent my battery dead.... good stuff. Now electronics isnt hard.... its all wire crimping and insulation. but with all the various components and yards and yards of loom i wouldnt know where to start. i think i need to look over someones shoulder and learn. but it used to be a case of turn key get flickering lights on the dash.... its now turn the key and be defened by silence and blinded by a lack of anything light like.

G'day lads. I'm currently trying to work my way through a few car related debts and unfortunately i'm also rapidly approaching rego time. Now due to the above my funds are kinda short and theres a few small things that i need to get done before i can get everything reged up and sorted. currently i'm going to need some new tires and a few other small things. but theres a catch.... i have an electrical fault! Somehow the 33gtst has sprouted a short, now i cant afford to call out an auto electrician, cos if i did that i cant afford my tyres and rego and other important debts. So what i'm offering is a slab of beer (type to be selected by the volunteer) to anyone who is willing to rid me of this problem once and for all. I had originally thought it was a didgy contact on one of my battery terminals but i've replaced it with no sucess. Should it turn out not to be the most straight forward of things i am open to increasing the slab count. For those who are interested i live in the northern suburbs of sydney. heh maybe this could be a good sau fundraiser. If someone needs a forml ride... they contact sau and quote type and number of cars required. sau charges a per car rate with a cut going to the owner and the rest to the club kitty. 1st in how long. i lost my license for 3 months just after i got my blacks in 98 odd.

Sorry tosh, just got my court stuff sorted.... so i have a little less on my plate. i'll try and get someone done and sorted by the weekend. hang tight all. actually... on the subject of this weekend. if we just want to have a test run we could use my property for this this weekend. reason i say test run is cos ihave only 3 concreted spaces and a fair chunk of gravel and grass. but if thats enough, cool. if ppl think this is suitable then let me know what u all think. if its too soon then i'll get back to the board. I'm up in glenorie aswell. So if people can let me know 2 things. 1 do they object to it being so soon and 2 is this make shift venue ok. then its on.

As some of you may recall 6 months ago i was booked for speeding while trying to get away from an overly aggressive 4wd driver (he was trying to ram me). Basically i sped off around a corner and straight into a speed trap (good one eh?). End result was the following. 1. Charge of drive manner dangerous - possible penalty, 3 years suspension 2. 45kms over - possible penalty - op to 2500 in fines and 6 months license suspension As i stated in my first post i took it to court due to the reason behind me speeding (i wasnt desputing the speed, just that i had just cause). Well i had my last day in court yesterday and thought i'd give u all an update. ok heres a blow by blow. 1. Drive manner dangerous - Thrown out. The officer told my lawyer that he gives all 45's and over this charge aswell. The court blasted him for this saying "theres a charge for ppl who did 45 and over, its called doing 45 and over... stop mucking about and just give the one fine, we dont need to see everone you book officer". This was also based on the conditions at the time of the offence (location, road type, traffic etc etc) it was on a rural road, at 8pm no traffic or pedestrians and none expected at that time, sealed road, no houses near the street etc etc. 2. 3 years loss of license - reduced to 6 months. The judge said he wanted to reduce it further, to around the 1 to 2 month mark, but due to gov regs couldnt. 3. 2500 fine - reduced to 500. Cos he couldnt reduce the suspension. nuff said really. So all in all a mixed result, but a pretty good one me thinks. the worst of it (drive manner dangerous) was thrown out, and the fine reduced to managable level. Really, if i take laywers costs in to account it was as though i'd paid 500 to have my suspension reduced to 6 months and have one charge dropped cos when the maths is done i'm actually 500 more out of pocket than if i had just taken the fine. but i'm not complaining, if money was an issue i wouldnt have bought a skyline. Advice for people in similar positions. Notice that i havnt whined here.... nor made excuses, thats the first bit. Secondly, get a lawyer, you may think u know road law... truth be told u know jack sht. Also gather as much evidence as you can. pictures of streets, measaurements all sorts of things like that. Some times this is all that will swing favor in your name. with my the cop said the road was straight with a nice big hard shoulder, my pics showed otherwise. if i hadnt of taken he pics i would have been screwed and i didnt know i needed them until i was there.... so lucky one. So other than that, i now have 6 months in which to work on my car.... i'm thinking of making a dash for 300rwkw.... that was i can celebrate my license return in jan by going out and losing it again in style.

Ok just had a chat to just jap here in sydney. they'll charge me 195 for the quarter panel and 175 for the door shell. being in sydney theres no shipping to payso thats how much i'll have to pay in total for the parts. can anyone beat this?

i just need the door exterior. the glass and interior on mine is ok, and i would assume the regulator is too. basically its just some superficial damage that i'd like to fix up. 230 sounds ok for the quarter... that would weigh about 1 kg or 2 right?

That might not be a prob... tell me how much u want for them and how much they weigh and i'll work out the total cost for me to get them shipped up. If the total is reasonable i'll take u up on them.

Need a front left quarter panel (bit that goes over the wheel arch) and passanger door for an s1 r33. gunmental grey would be nice but if its not i can get it resprayed. will pay good money for good parts. PM me if you can help

check the radius arm bush's. they stabalise the front wheels under breaks... could be that they've perished.
