  1. can i suggest that you also publishthe imei to allow people to confirm that the phone is not imei blocked.
  2. fit a bull bar :slap:
  3. as per my post somewhere in nsw thread... all initial d DVD's to date for $100 (118 i think to be exact) delivered from.... http://store.fivestarlaser.com
  4. These does infact appear to be a warning at that start of each dvd... but its all in japanese so i cant read it anyway..... could be a copyright warning, might not be. That said, if you want them, buy them yrself..... i downloaded the entire first stage but by that time i already had the dvd's on order, These look damn official to me and have the same sleave and print that i have found on various official dvd channels, i;d say they are legit as initial D can come.
  5. I've noticed a few people looking for initial D dvd lately and i thought i'd lend you all a hand if this includes you. I have found many places that will sell you the entiretly of stage 1 (or worse only 13 eps for the us release) for about $89.00 US. I was lucky enough to find a store that would sell me the following for the same price.... Stage One box set Stage Two Box set Stage Three Movie Stage Four (or what they have made so far) Battle Stage Extra Stage I wanted to hold off telling you all until i had received them and had a chance to check out the quality Ok they arrived. The cases all look legit and professional. The DVD's were all pressed so they certainly arent ripped. I havnt watched them all yet but the picture and sound quality so far is great, the only down side being the NTSC format making the image a little grainy. The only thing that looks non-legit is the occasional appearance of "[email protected]" appearing in the subtitles during interlude. Other than that i'm very happy..... so go forth and shop and rest assured the dvd's wont be crap. So if your interested head on over to..... store.fivestarlaser.com and get your piece of tofu shop fun. And before you even mention it... i dont care how grateful you are i am not gonna have your babies
  6. am i correct is assuming that the price is a typo? if not why so cheap?
  7. To answer your "why havnt you purchased an existing cf part" question.... I've been looking into cf bonnets for a while and i've always found that either... a) the ones that suit my car dont suit my tastes and B) the ones that suit my tastes dont suit my car (ie its an s2 bonnet and i drive an s1). If your willing to make on order one off custom parts then i'd happily do alot of business with you. this might even help you out as if you guys make reusable molds, if ppl like the design you made for me you can reproduce it for a known ammount. Now as for 30m rolls of prepreg.... I'm sure that if u can estimate how many components you could make out of a 30m roll you could find the demand to use it.... for instance.... Lets say you could make say 20 bonnets out of a 30m roll (thats a random number just for example) or 10 bonnets and 5 boots or something similar then a custom part group buy could be organised and logically priced.... eg we're getting 30m's of prepreg, get yr orders in and if we get enough demand to use the whole roll we'll go with it. however if its a man power issue (cant make the parts fast enough before the roll goes stale) then its another issue, although u could factor the cost of this waste in aswell.... eg... we have enough man power to make x ammount of prepreg or y ammount of parts, the waste costs z so there fore we'll spread the value of z over the cost of all parts produced. yes we'd pay a premium but these would be premium parts no? Now if only i could find someone who can get there hands on brushed aluminum sheeting.... i know a lad who swears he could make a full alu dash replacement given the materials. CF Parts that seem to be in demand Boots bonnets panels (inc doors) CA box's dash components god i tihnk if u said "anything u want in cf justorder" the crowd would go wild it just takes a little creative thinking.
  8. pretty much the gtst your looking for... but in gun metal grey.... They're a good ride. As much as i like the 34 body shape, after buying it i'd have no money to buy some toys to install in it.
  9. Cheers paul, pm sent. Pantae & MIC thanks for the input, as much as i'd like to see him cruising around in in an import or a bluebird, its not really an option for him. I think he said it best "I'm not trying to get a fast car, i'm trying to get my car to go faster". And besides.... i think the conversion would be fun.
  10. paladin, fair nuff mate.... Mashrock... lube up n take it like a man
  11. Granny Driving... revs stay at 2000rpm when cruising, drop down when below and shift up at 3000 3rd - 40kph - 60kph 4th - 60kph - 80kph 5th - 80kph or greater Normal driving... a tad different.... the 2000 rpm cruise rule is kept, but gears become... 3rd - 40:D One thing to remember is that you want yr rpm to be such that if you change down you end up in the meaty rev range, this means that dropping a gear and hammering is always an option and you'll avoid bogging the turbo down.
  12. oh and a question from me... what kind of suspension work will stick the front end on to the road harder. I'm thinking he'll need to harden up the back end and fiddle the front to stop it skipping.... can anyone give me an idea along the lines of "less rebound here... more spring weight there and harder/softer at one end"?
  13. hey all, i have a mate whose looking into getting some work done on his car. Now it may not be a skyline, but hey it IS a nissan. I was thinking of posting this on a pulsar forum, but i'd much prefer to deal with a crowd i know and trust... heres what my mate has to say.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a '99 N15 Series 2 Pulsar (I think it's a CA16DE). I am looking into doing an SR20DET engine swap from a Bluebird. It seems that the Bluebird is one of the only SR20DET FWDs, so hopefully it should fit. What other parts would I need to replace to accomodate this engine? (clutch, gearbox, etc.) I've heard with the S15 SR20DETs there is a big difference between the black-tops & red-tops. Does anybody know if the head from an S15 SR20 is interchangable with the head from a FWD SR20? I have heard that the red-tops are better than the black-tops due to Variable Valve Timing etc. Is this correct and are there any other differences? Any feedback you could offer would be appreciated. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can anyone help? And if possible can we keep the "buy a new car" or "why the F$@^& are you doing that?" statements to a minimum that would be great, i know a new car isnt an option for him (he needs a 4 door, would prefer something recent over a 15 yo import and couldnt afford any of the current model turbo 4 doors. Ok he could maybe get a my00 WRX..... but ITS A WRX!!!!!! thats worse than a crazy fwd sr20det conversion ). So can anyone help a brother out? Messiah
  14. Welcome to SAU victor, We have alot of info here to help u with yr research, and we're always happy to answer questions, just remember to use the search function before you ask . Now a question for you... what kind of skyline u thinking of getting?
  15. Paladin, i see what yr saying and i do agree with u totally. My take is this, i was looking at 3 years and got six months instead, to me thats as good as getting off entirely, i mean in comparison to 3 years six months was a pittance right? Now there is an oppotunity for this lad to learn alot from this, basically he is facing the real probability that he is going to lose his license and his job, and possibly cause business probs for his boss for a while (until he finds a new employee), now for anyone with an ounce of Morals this is a very sobering thought, more than enough to make someone think twice about doing anything dumb for a while. For those of you who are wondering what my fine and situation was heres a quick summery.... sorry to hijack... Basically driving home through the boonies on a very quiet and isolated road and had some guy try to ram my car from behind, so i floored it and buggered off, right into a speed trap. I got hit with 30 and over plus drive in a manner dangerous. i made sure i pointed this out to the coppa from the start. Now i pleaded guilty to speeding and agreed that maybe i didnt have to go quite that fast, but at the time, being conservative wasnt at the forfront of my mind. Luckily the judge threw out the drive in a manner dangerous, and only gave me a fine cos he said he could let me off entirely, again a fair cop. NOW HERES THE THING FOR EVERYONE READING THIS TO REMEMBER. It wasnt just the curcumstances that got me off, but also the fact that i didnt try to brush off anything the polie did as unjustified, i just said "i screwed up, i was scared, i didnt know what to do so i just tried to get out of there". i didnt say "i was justified" or "please let me off" or make any excuses for my actions. I just asked them to consider the situation in their verdict. Oh and yes i got a lawyer. If anyone wants a blow by blow just do a search for the threads i have created, you'll find it all there. That said i think that when ppl post these kinds of post a big "Guys... i fecked up!!!" at the start would be a good move, that way we can know whether to flame them or not.
  16. its a skyline, not a go-kart or a snow plow... raise it back up and save yrself money on tires shocks and springs.
  17. Everyones done dumb shit paladin, you included, dont try and deny it. The important thing is whether u learn from it or not. Look its all pretty simple, if u feel your a good public speaker then feel free to represent yourself, if you think you might get a little frayed under pressure get a lawyer. Another thing to remember is that they can also increase the penalty, this is rare, but if a judge thinks you deserved more, or if they think your blantanty waisting their time then they'll consider upping it. Secondly, a lwyer can frequently cost you 3 times the cost of the fine if not more, if u havnt paid your fine yet, then keep this in mind. My suggestion, if you decide to appeal it, admit guilt (advise a lawyer before u do this) and plead for leniency due to your work and social commitments (if you dont have kids quick knock someone up so u can say they're on the way ). You wont win a over judge by fighting the infringements on this one, but that said it doesnt look like your trying to. And yes i have been here before 2500 in fines and 3 years without a license down to 500 in fines and 6 months with no license. Its a fair cop.
  18. depending on the date count me in.
  19. yes.... yes it is
  20. Good cruise all in all.... but a few recommendations. 1. Meeting up at maccas is fine for a small number of cars, for the numbers we had last night it wasnt very practical, i suggest that in future we either a) find a decent side street and meet there, for instance just around the corner from maccas is a road that runs between my old school and the railwy line, very few ppl live there and the roads long enough to fit alot of cars. B) break the meet up over several different places, say one group at thornleigh, another at hornsby etc etc. 2. When things get pushed along by the cops all planning goes to crap, many of the ppl didnt know the route and therefore drove straight to newport beach, where this is no ones fault, maybe smaller staging groups (see above) and pre printed maps might make this easier. 3. Someone mentioned that we need something to do when we arrive, i kinda agree with this as it might stir up the social pool a little and make it a little more cohesive. Other than that it was a good night, i was parked up next to a copper at maccas (weren't we all ) who seemed a nice lad and who said he'd fill me in on the other cops activities (well atleast the reasoning behind them) but i lost track of him after leaving maccas, i'd be interested to hear his 2c, i think he said his name was reeson or something similar? Are you about mate? But now for the big question, whens the next one?
  21. yup i had this theres a peice of plastic that sits between the skin and the horn button, mine had somehow shattered into 1inch shards and they would rattle and clunk around whenever i turned a corner. I found the cause when i removed my old wheel to put a new momo on. after i removed the front cover and looked inside it i could see all the bits sliding around.
  22. ARE (are.com.au if i recall correctly) make ones that can replace the front grill as mentioned above.
  23. this ones easy, your running a pfc with no apexi boost controller right? if u check yr settings you'll prolly find the boost control is set to on.
  24. Oh and another note, did anyone advertise the arrival of their vehicles on here before it was stolen such as "cars landed today - sat at the cleaners will pick up next week blah blah heres pics"? It strikes me that if anyone has been doing the above maybe waiting until you have it home and locked up before you post "its arrived" posts might be a good idea, it strikes me that a car is at its most vulnerable when its between the docks and your home.
  25. Strikes me that someones trolling this forum and taking cars. I mean in 2 cases we have brand new cars going missing from "Public" private property (by that i mean its not gov owned land but has a high flow ppl but is still meant to be relatively secure) and the owners are being phoned with the location of the cars a week or 2 later. Where else besides here have you posted yr contact details out of curiousity? i'm gonna start monitoring these stolen threads for a trend. Someone set up a sting. Heh if someones getting a new car shipped in anytime soon you can hire me and my dog to sleep in it, we supply our own bats M
