  1. Spotted MUD, driving along Queen Street just after 2, trying to be quiet....stealth is NOT possible in a skyline...
  2. Trent, Well put, I will come and see you again in a few months!!! Also tell Cam to update the website...lol Cheers Neill
  3. Karen, I will come and buy a sausage, probably get some for the whole team (we will all be out there finally) Have to do some last minute stuff to the car and we have to trailer it out there so should be hell fun!!
  4. No cost to watch. Can someone please come and say hello to me. I will be with a bunch of evo's (see sig) and need some common sense Skylineness...) See you all tomorrow, should be a good day, hopefully not too hot!!!

    New Clutch

Seeing as Dan uses NPC and does not mark up like ALOT of other places do, then I would NOT hesitate for a second to recommend Dan. NPC and Dan for a clutch has no competition!!! (unless you want a Jim Berry...) I will add that I am constantly amazed at how much people put credit on Japanese products when without a doubt there are better and cheaper home made alternatives...
  6. Mercury can re-tune the factory ECU on Nissan's I was not aware they could do the R33, as last time I talked to them they could not. I have known Trent for many years and thus why I took my car there. I had PFC install, walbro, GFB atomic controller (which does not spike...) installed and tuned and happy with the work. I even go my dyno printouts emailed, all 3, torque, boost and afr. I have also heard good reports from Allstar and also bad reports from Allstar. As wil most places its personal preference. That said I am unsure where I am going to get my PFC tuned after I install my FMIC, so carry on people with the posts. oh and the install and tune cost me $500 including cold start tune the following day, total 3 hours dyno time.

    New Clutch

Umm Jim rebuilds twins as well....and I know alot of cars running his clutches...that run decent times and actually outpower "Japanese name brand twins" with a single... Call Dan I could not recommend him more, or that clutch place NPC...they do good work on rebuilds also. Mercury outsource SOME of the work they do, so find out where it is going before forking over cash...
  8. EVO Cam will be doing the 3 East Coast ones and I will be there as crew. Hope to see some decent machinery out (yes I drive a skyline...), with imports smoking the Aussie "muscle"... I have to agree its DAMN expensive... My meals are $390 per event (yes per event per person...)
  9. I guys, I popped out breifly as we ended up not getting Cam's evo ready in time...long story. I was in a white R33, but stayed down the tower end of the bays with a red Evo 6.5 as it was his first outting and needed some advice. I only stayed for a bit and missed his 130km/h turn 1 off... It was not as hot as pre Christmas Time Attack day but still too hot for some cars. Hopefully Friday is a little cooler...
  10. Happy Birthday John!!! Did you get a new camera for your birthday???
  11. Rep OFT by the sounds of it. If you can't find him then I am guessing he went out of business for good reason. Sorry to ask but why the hell does he owe you money...for me its usually the other way round...
  12. I am after one of the racthet screw drivers, do you have actual pics of the item. Location and will you take $50 delivered to Brisbane???
  13. My HPI subscription ceased and will not be renewed. I will get the latest one purely for a couple of personal reasons. I still get Zoom as its the closest to Speed...I miss that mag... I also buy whichever mag has a car in it that I have detailed....wall of fame sort of thing, should be another one shortly...
  14. The trailer will not be built and a few other things. Cam will be racing in the EVO, and as such we WILL be there on Saturday!!!!
  15. The kids in my street get off the road REAL quick in our estate, even when I am in the corolla...why... Well they are left unattended, so I think it was my duty to inform the local neighbourhood watch about unruley kids throwing balls at people houses...After the local newsletter came out I could hear the parents yelling at their kids...good to live in a snobby suburb where your neighbours care what others think of them... That and the fact that my brother does not slow down as he drives a 4wd...like any other tool in our suburb (I think there is a Prado/Landcruiser/Pajero to every family...
  16. I will be there, we have had logistical issues and as such will be at QR and not going to Wakefield for that weekend!!
  17. John, Will have a chat Saturday to see how you went on Friday. Cheers Neill
  18. He must have a bad day everyday, spotted this joker TWICE last week doing the same thing... Phatboi I may just take you up on that offer....
  19. I get you. This I would not recommend. I actually just re-wash the entire car. I understand about the residue and the effects that it can cause. I have seen some intellectual pigmies just wipe off "the excess" with detailer and it still streaks then wonder why it can effect the compound/wirl remover or the polish... Oh and I don't use towels...microfibre is the ONLY thing I use on the paint...the Megs towells I use to apply Wheel Sealant or Metal Polish...
  20. Yes I agree Col, Co. cars are usually commonwhores so who cares, plus the paint on them is average at best. Moisture pat down process??? (Confused look)
  21. Yes those areas are notorious for bogans...and its drive like a civilised human being...lol
  22. Hahhaah trady bogans... There are heaps when I go to work in the morning, mostly 4wd's and they have to be the biggest lot of gits tailgating and cuting each other off, its entertaining to watch them do it to each other. You just stay away and wait for them to slide into a pole in the rain...
  23. Col, Sorry to go off topic, but if you use harsh washing detergents on your car you are stripping away the wax, weather it be natural or polymers. Also if you merely wash then polish your car and the paint is not perfectly clean, you may in fact be damaging the paint more than you think. Thus why at times, especially on custom paint, you will notice additional marks that you "polish out" but in part the polish you may be using may contain fillers and actually hide the fact that the marks are still there. You should use detailing clay on your car prior to polishing if the finish is not mirror smooth. The best method to work this out is use a thin plastic bag, but it on your hand and move over a SMALL section of the paint when the car is dry, if it grabs at all you need to clay before you polish. The other problem is that polishes that are a 2 in 1, being they polish and wax, every application essentially removes the previous layer of protection. If you want to stick with Meguiars then I would recommend the 3 step process they have after using their Quick Clay at the very least. At the end of the day, a car detail is a car detail and you get what you pay for. It may be exy or appear so, but compare that over the life of the car to maintain it, and it far outweighs a new paint job if you don't want to spend your money on that... I might also add while I am on the topic, new cars, you can buy enough products to last well and truly beyond the life of the car compared to the cost of paint protection, and if done properly will make the car look better and maintain the paint if a far better condition. Just my 2c. And yes you are right. The longer you leave it between washes the more damage and the more rectification is required. Cheers Neill
  24. Well to be honest I posted this up as partly a vent and also to illustrate that you should not be a dick on the raods especially in traffic and even more so during the holiday period. Slim, your post summs up your intelligence and pure lack of thought about others. Devsl advocate you are entitled to your thoughts. This is not the first time this clown has driven like this, and as a matter of fact I did stay away from him, FFS I was in a corolla... There are alot of opinions and thoughts on here and have to say that I am happy that alot of people think like I do. You act like a wanker then people will pick on you. If your so immature as to drive like a dick on public roads then you should not only feel the full force of the law, but also the wider enthusiast, and thus skyline, community as well. That is the sole purpose of this post to make people aware that you act like a dick then someone is likely to see it. And for one yes I have done things illegal like speedy, and I for one would expect people to call me out if I was being as much a twat as this joker. Maybe a "Spotted a joker in a skyline being a tool" thread my be in order. I for one belong to the SAU community as it has like minded people, who enjoy driving their cars without harassment that is the result of a few intellectual pigmy's with penis envy. If you don't like my comments, then you are entitled to post your own, its a free country. But please make a point and not be a tool like Slim.... Take care on the roads. Cheers Neill
