  1. Deposit Taken?... has the poor buyer seen the car? or atleast have any idea of its history?....
  2. They have plenty advertised for sale atm to, which I'm sure they all have a similar story as this one. When searching for mine I wasted a lot of time coming to Sydney from Newcastle to inspect cars, after 3-4 trips I'd had enough and never bothered again. And I caught them using incorrect photos once before to, they advertised a vspecii with pics of a vsepc, when asked the question they admitted the photos posted weren't of the actually car?... Haha, so, I would say the same has happened here.
  3. anyone?... let me know if interested.
  4. What spec whitelines did you get? im also going to getting some aftermarket sway bars soon.
  5. I know i post a few pics of my car in here, but anyways, hopefully no one minds.. heres some i got out the back of newcastle on the weekend.
  6. HA yea.. Have a soft spot for 911s... And the one I'm thinking of i see as great value for a gt2.. I don't think I could sell the gtr though, so maybe just put off buying a house.... Again.... And have both haha
  7. ahh right ok.. yea thats fair enough, not looking for an all out track car though. more just a fun weekend car that would see the track here and there.. and as road going ones go, i believe, in the 996 range anyways, the gt2 is faster than the gt3, but not hugely. but i like the idea and styling of the gt2 over the gt3 (always loved turbo cars).
  8. Really?... i thought a GT3 was a club/race version of the carrera and the GT2 was a club/race version of the Turbo. The turbo being far quicker than a carrera, i would only assume a GT2 would be far quicker than a GT3. I thought the body setup between the GT2 and 3 would be similar, but the GT2 has the bigger rear end and wheels and more power etc... I dont know heaps about the the GT3, but thats just my thoughts.. may need to do some more research ha
  9. have thought about the GT3s.. but i like the extra power and styling of the gt2s to be honest... an getting affordable in the 996 range for what was a 400k car 10 years ago!
  10. ive got a 34R thinking of getting a 911 GT2 and you suggest a supra?.... what type of response were you expecting benji? haha
  11. Yea there are very easy upgrades to get 500-600hp out of the turbos... Being 3.6l wouldn't have to many lag issues either!
  12. That's what I thought... But it could just be a demand problem... Hard to price rare cars, especially if there not overly popular.. If I spent that money on the gtr I would maybe be as fast around a track, but I doubt it... And I would have a car costing 100k worth 50k... A lot of rational thinking atm... I know it's not all about how fast etc.. I do have a passion for the 911s
  13. Yea the 991 turbos would be good, similar to a gtr in a way I reckon, I think the new gtrs get compared to them often with similar nurburgring times I think. But the gt2 being more powerful and rwd... Would be a great drivers car imo... Now to figure out how to have it and the gtr haha.. Need to win lotto tomorrow!
  14. My view on awd v rwd Awd - easier to drive fast Rwd - not slower than awd but harder to reach its full potential
  15. Haha yea righto. I'm looking at the 996 too... Abit unpopular so well priced. Although top of the line gt2 is still 109k! Will be faster then my gtr will ever be though ha Here's the one that sparks my interest, the other two for sale in the country are about 50k more expensive... Seems odd http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=12990592&keywords=911%20996%20gt3&SearchAction=N&__Ntk=CarAll&__Nne=15&__Dx=mode%20matchany&__D=911%20gt2&silo=1011&seot=1&__sid=13AC585AB21C&__N=834%201216%201246%201247%201252%201282%201622&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=1&__Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Cr=1&__Ntt=911%20gt2&trecs=6
  16. Haha, this isn't helping me thinking of moving the gtr on for a porche gt2 for a bargain atm haha
  17. Yea sorry Martin were abit late, we were on the road by 1030... Roads were very rough, therefore very slow! There was one good section from dungog over to buckets way, but apart from that, wooten was great! Smooth and very wide, and 100kph speed limit and no other cars on the road. Will hit it up for the next run.
  18. If anyone's keen, thinking about going for a drive to check out some roads today... The route from newy is approx 300kms and will take 4-5hrs ha... Going around gresford, dungog and further north
  19. im heading down for sunday...
  20. haha read that this morning and was thinking the same thing.... should add 'to infinity + 1' after it just to be sure
  21. Bump, still one pair left. the last set sold for $300!
  22. -5s will be useless unless you upgrade alot of other things to go with it, you wont be able to run much boost with stock fuel system etc... and will just be laggier
  23. whats the duct going to the fender for? i was just assuming, having not looked into this too much, only heard that you can cut a hole somewhere that opens them up a little? assumed it was that section but not sure if there was a hole in already there etc?...
  24. yea thats what ive heard, my tuners swear that the airbox's cant make more than 300awkw or something? didnt like me putting them back in over the pods i had in there.. but i had heard many stories of them going near the 400awkw mark so i dont know.. I think you can modify the stock box to suck air from the fender, there is a hole and abit that sticks into the guard, you just need to cut the hole in the box from memory.. will look into this at the next stage though. not sure if you did this joel?
  25. haha, pretty much my thoughts.. dont plan on selling it.. but, hope for the best, plan for the worst! Not a bad idea Joel... but to be honest, my stock airbox would probably restrict more airflow then AFMs anyways, for my power goal i think efforts could be better spent elsewhere...
