Yea i thought that'd be the case.... i think i will just be leaving them as is.. i can then return to stock easily if required for when it comes time to sell etc..

yea cant tune stock 34r ecus.. mine had a custom chip installed onit that was very rare that could be tuned, but there arent really any people who tune it anymore so its pretty useless.. ive got a haltech running via MAP now.. much better! yea a large amount of oil sounds bad.. maybe check pipes on the other side to see if there is more up near the inlet etc?..

yea see what your guy says... i cant imagine it would run too well unplugging the AFMs... Does it have an aftermaket ecu? was it tunned after the build? sounds like it is running very rich....

Whos is your mechanic? I suggest taking it to a specialist if yours inst one...

yea my car runs much better without them too.. but i did still leave them attached to the engine!

Is the car missing or is it just a boost problem? if its AFM it should be running like shit and missing here and there i would have thought? if its just not boosting sounds like a leak someone? maybe in the inlet manifold or something if its still registering boost?... im not mechanic, just thoughts.. also if alot of oil is around the AFM.. could mean new turbos.. leak on the inside somewhere?...

yea thats it, most advertised around the price you stated will be of average quaility... thats was my point about maybe needing to pay more etc.. yea that one has been on there for an extremely long time... but so was mine before i bought it.. yellow ones just must'nt sell to good?...

yea its all good mate... im just saying there is a big difference between whats on offer out there on the market. have you inspected any r34 gtrs for purchase on the market? I only ask as i had similar thoughts when i started looking.. I ended up getting sick of looking at all the poor examples and in the end possibly extended my budget from 50k to 70k to find the right one (didnt end up spending that on the one i actually got though). I know where your coming with overpriced though. Alot of the ones i looked at in the mid/low $40ks, i just couldnt justify spending that much money on them.. i started to think an r34 gtr wasnt for me at this stage, and started looking at other cars as a better for value for money option etc. really when it comes to good condition ones, they will command whatever price someone is willing to pay for them, they are few and far between and some would spend alot more to get this over a poorer example.

would have to disgree personally. you look at the $40k examples for sale and you will see why quickly they are advertised and sell for around that price. if your like me and many others, you may think twice about spending $40k on an accident damaged rusted 13 year old car with what says 40k kms on the clock but looks more like 140k+ kms... and think about paying an extra 10k+ on a good example.. money well spent imo.. untill you start actually searching the market (photos mean nothing, inspections are a must for these cars) you really dont start to understand the differences in prices, once you do, its very cear! the prices of these cars are driven down locally by the poor examples being imported in the last, probably, 4 years... and good examples still sell quickly.

very randomily saw GTT340 from the cruise over take me near gunnedah on my way out this arvo, not sure if i had a chance to meet you on sunday mate, but woke me up on my way out here this arvo thats for sure ha. great looking car.

I would be really supprised official or not that the organiser would get in trouble unless any action they did actually caused a problem. for example, if someone turns up, acts like a dick, crashes and kills him self and someone else in the process through no fault of his own, i cant see anyone else being blamed but the driver at fault. although if the event put attendees or the public in danger through the planned actions, ie maybe stopping a whole bunch of cars in the middle of the road on a blind corner that causes an accident.. well that could be another story, but i think there would be so many loop holes to this that would put blame back onto drivers directly involved for there own actions. its not like were blocking of roads and using them to race illegally. were just driving from point a to point, people are responsible for them selves... this is just my 2 cents, and would be very suprised to hear that an organiser had ever been held responsible for anything going down legally in the past where actually activites were legal.

Im still keen on the wollombi idea... would like to know if someone has travelled on these roads lately to see if they are any good?
