  1. Anyone know the cheapest places in newy for half decent tools? Gas weld or something?
  2. New tyres going on tomorrow. Price drop.. $700 for the lot or $400 for a pair.. Neg on price, want these tyres gone asap.
  3. yea went with BCs.. no point spending the extra coin on a street car imo, hard to go past the value of the BCs!
  4. yea it would be getting close to that for me, should have them next week or hopefully the week after... would really like them fitted by the cruise!.. would be an awesome test for them.
  5. bugger off! haha, i havent looked into it but im sure there going to be reasonably expensive... ive been spending a fortune on my car lately.. i wish the coilovers would arrive now though! was 10 days along time ago haha.
  6. yea i will do. im actually going to havea problem getting my car on my brothers hoist for servicing once lowered, his hoist arms are only just clearing my skirts atm.. was thinking i may need to get a low profile jack for the front, and maybe get it higher before putting it onto the hoist, but im not sure how that works ha... yea im on work laptop, noticed its being going funny, really not sure why?.. haha
  7. haha, nice one. yea might give them a go, seem to have pretty good reviews.. i actually have to pick up my nitto tyres tomorrow so might see if i can get these guys to fit them for me, an excuse to go have a chat and abit of a sticky beek.
  8. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=367904 familiar user in there! ha
  9. anyone used bowers suspension in merewether before? saw they were recomended on another forum, gave them a quick call and the guy seemed to know what he was on about, had worked on skylines before and seemed to know abit about them. they can fit coilovers, do height adjustments, camber settings and wheel alignment for $350 which i thought was very reasonable aswell. anyone been to them before? or can anyone recomend another suspension place?
  10. hey mate, where did you get the rear diffuser brackets from?
  11. yea fair enough. the stock clutch isnt really heavy, pretty easy going.. so im guessing you would have an aftermarket one..
  12. if you have a stock clutch you will burn it out pretty quick doing that im pretty sure.. im hoping to change mine to a nismo one in the future, the stock clutches are one of the weakest points on a gtr.
  13. Yea buddy storage is all good, different place but. Yea going to the bay to watch the game.. Pretty buggered from last night though ha
  14. Yea I do that, but I still have the problem with the driveway, and being a unit complex can't really fix it unfortunately... I will still be driving it as frequently! If not more so!
  15. Main reasons for storage is space and driveway issues.. Live in a unit with a double garage and own 3 cars... Got coilovers coming in a few weeks and only just get out of the driveway as is.. And ever since I bought it I've wanted to get it sitting right, out of 4wd spec ha
  16. Just put my car in storage... Pretty happy.. Went for a drive around before hand, was pretty good (second drive after tune) but was taking it pretty easy, worried about police/double demerits... The misses thinks the car is faster now haha... The main thing is the torque.. It felt like it was trying to break traction in first under acceleration.. Pretty sure it didn't used to do that ha
  17. Yea 460 ftlb.., Will post graph when I get a chance. Very busy atm
  18. Yea I thought the tourqe was off aswell tbh... But JEM said it should be accurate, unless I'm doing the conversion wrong of 460 ft lb?... Does seem rather high though!...
  19. Hey Matt thought I would reply in this thread oppOsed to the cruise one.. Old pac was really good, but hard to see at night.. Very quite though, I was the only one around.. Looking forward to doing it in daylight though! Cars great, pulls a little harder but is a lot beefier in the midrange, The torque is awesome.. 620nm peaking before 4k rpm... Very fun!
  20. Looking forward to this, should be good. Just did abit of old pac on the way home tonight, good fun but hard to see in the dark! Was very quite though. Just a thought, Sould be organise a spot for sydney guys to meet us in Galston or something so they can cruise up to the pies with us? What's yours thoughts?
  21. Very shortly I imagine.. Sitting in JEM now while they do there finishing touches.
  22. Nah none taken, i know it's 'under powered' these days haha. I was hoping for 230+ with my setup so I'm happy, just waiting to drive it now
  23. Car results in. 243awkw at about 15psi I think... Very keen to drive it
  24. From memory you can get carbon versions of them if it's your thing?...
  25. Yea I just hope they had time to get it all done... My list was fairly large by the end of it haha.. And I don't really want to call them up and bug them.. Especially if they might have to work back a little late to finish it off etc..
