  1. doesnt look like they make them in the size i need, which im finding very common.. like the KU36s... dont even make them in a 19 im pretty sure.. im fairly limited when it comes to tyres! still in between the two haha...
  2. internet, just searching specs. they arent the holy grail, but give you an idea.. just looked up my falkens and they are rated at 300, so will be an improvement! im not sure haha... cant go past the value of federals.. but also wouldnt mind the nitto being a better tyre.. again though, there not $500 worth of better are they!
  3. ha cheers for the import guys.. i just looked again and pretty much decided to go with the nittos haha... im hopeless. the nt05 isnt a full track tyre.. the nt05R is the proper semi slick, with the r type compound etc.. the tread wear differences of the two tyres are 200 nt05 and 240 for the federals.. so the nittos would just be a really grippy street tyre, and would still get 10k kms on them i think.. not like the proper semis where i would burn up the rubber on the steet within 2k kms.. so im kinda thinking i should just buy the gripper tyre for more fun on the street?... where the federals will probably just be the same as the falkens i have.. maybe even a little worse?...
  4. yea same.. they are also 8mm wider and about 3mm smaller in dia than the nittos so could help with scribbing a tiny bit, and wont look as streched! its a bloody good price, cant deny that!
  5. http://www.federaltyres.com/tyres/high-performance/595evo http://www.nittotire.com/Tire/nt05 im still stuck.. i will track my car one day im sure.. just not sure when!
  6. someone should definately buy my tyres... as for new ones, nitto nt05s for 1400 delvd federal 595evos 925 delvd still kinda wanting the nt05s.. but really not sure there worth that much more than the federals.
  7. when these guys bought the cars over in 2000 i dont think they could get them registered either?... mine wasnt actually complied untill 2002 haha..
  8. yea i think the less time spent in japan the better! mine was imported in June 2000! was only about 1 year old, and cost the first aus owner a fortune, but had to move it on to make room for another car to add to his collection, and the gtr was the cheapest car he had ha. still sold it in 2004 for over 90k to the owner before me...
  9. ha fair enough, do you have to pre enter the show and shine well in advance?...
  10. Probably won't be in on the track day, unless I win a spot which isi hghly unlikely.. Will probably be in the show and shine though
  11. so very true! there really worth what people will pay at the end of the day, and they can comand higher prices due to availability, there was less 15k of them made i think, which was over 10 years ago, alot have been crashed, rusted etc.. so if your lucky enough to find a great example, you can expect to pay for it, or get extremely lucky! imo opinion, at this stage anyways, they are the latest example of the classic straight 6 twin turbo gtr... and the attention / attraction they always grab from people tells the story, there is something special about these cars....
  12. Hey guys, I have for sale the tyres on my gtr, they are 275/35/19 falken fk452s with heaps of tread left, the only reason im changing is because i need to drop a profile due to scrubbing, great tyres though! They have been on my car since i bought them brand new back in decemeber last year, and have travelled under 3000kms, so they are stil 95%+. these will be off my car in the next two weeks or so, available for inspection in newcastle before that date if required. price: $900 for the lot, or will sell in pairs for $500 ea. ono. give me a call, txt or pm if you have any questions or want more info 0435 721 814 Cheers, Anthony
  13. Yea I inspected longz car as was interested to buy late last year, imo that sold for around the 45k mark for a reason.... I was still thinking about buying even though it wasn't what I was looking for (as I was doubtful another one in that colour was going to turn up anytime soon), but to be honest, I doubt I would have bought it even for 35k! Just my opinion though....
  14. I think you can run 285 30s on 18s without too many drama, but 19s would be pushing it I think.
  15. Yea, we should really stop talking about it and set a date and place etc.. Will send you a pm some time and maybe start a photoshoot thread to get some 34r group shots?
  16. Yea neither really. I don't want to push going wider though due to rubbing...
  17. Yea I thought so. Ha that's one of the reasons I want to change to 18s. Would love some wider rubber!
  18. Ha yea there was hail where Im at the moment, glad the gtr is at home safely under cover! Will be more pics of mine in a few weeks once it's lowered! Very keen.
  19. Ha fair enough mate. I'm tossing up on them or some federals which are abit more than 100 bucks cheaper ea.
  20. Thanks for the info Terry! Thought the ones that used to be on your old black 34r were 10.5s... And they would be the size I'm after, there is currently a black set in the for sale section, they are also 18x9.5 +12 I'm pretty sure.. Thought about these, but if I was to change, would not want to compromise on size etc. Cheers, Anthony
  21. Can't speak for everyone, but I definitely won't complain!
  22. Anyone think the below is too much stretch? Looking at the same tyres as the wheels on the left, which are the same width as mine... Thoughts? http://www.modified.com/projectcars/modp-1010-mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-x/photo_17.html
  23. Awesome! Curious, do you still have both sets? And what are there specs?
  24. Did you get any with more of the ocean in the background? Just curious?
  25. Have you had a look at the car? I'm very curious about it, I have even contacted the owner and mentioned if he lowered his price I would consider selling mine to buy his ha. I was in contact with the owner before I bought mine also, back about this time last year when he had his car advertised for 75k or 70k but was fairly stock, before a lot of the work was done to it now (I remember him saying if he doesn't sell it he was going to go e85 and aim for 400awkw haha)... I was really keen onit and said if I come down and offer between 50-60 would I be wasting my time, and he said yes, so I never had a chance to look at it. Would love to know how good of an example it was!
