  9. what night for the dinner?
  10. Yea I have noticed a few hang around on there as I lurk occasionally. Getting close with the house, the problem is finding one with a decent shed for cars, or room for one etc.. A 911 turbo might get my attention before the m3 though, I find myself liking them a lot lately, which is weird as I never used to?? Ha Funnily enough there is a nice 911 996 turbo for 65k on carsales atm, quite cheap, but.... It's yellow ha.. Could get a little weird if I kept the gtr haha
  11. Ha I was very close to buying yours, but yours wasn't stock either And.... I'm a massive tight ass ha Actually when I first started searching there was a black base model 34r advertised for 58k from memory, nismo kit and lmgt4 gt500s I'm pretty sure, stage one engine mods etc. I spoke to the guy on and off, was told it was immaculate and had genuine mid to high 30k Kms, this didn't really translate to me back then, and I said I wasn't going to travel to look at the car unless he was considering <50k offers for a base model 34 GTR.. It sold a few weeks after for what I believe he notified me of over 50k.. bit of a shame I didn't check it out, it could have been an incredible car! Wold love to know where it is now.
  12. Thanks for the tips mate, got to buy a house first though ha, and I can't see myself selling the gtr anytime soon Just looked at the m3 prices, they seem strong. Always kinda thought these could be a good buy as they might hold their value being the last 6cyl versions?
  13. Awesome car! I've thought about Owning one of these in the future for a while.
  14. Recongise that one hey, is a good pic, thanks for it!
  15. ha yea was thinking this was getting a little off topic. oh well interesting stuff. was wondering with all the talk there is about R34 GTRs that a thread for specifics would work well?..
  16. Yea no offense taken mate, we're just putting forward our opinions And I know where your coming from about bargains, and if anyone offered me a stock base 34r with offers over 50k back when i was searching for mine I would have said he was dreaming, but after seeing the car I bought my thoughts changed. Out of the 30+ I inspected while searching, about 2 or 3 I thought had genuine low Kms.. I found really good condition genuine low kms ones extremely hard to find, let alone ones without extensive rust, accident damage and original paint etc... Yea I was by picky ha. So just imo if you can find the above combo, it's worth more than 50k. Whether the potential of the car is reconised from the buying market is another question though.
  17. Would have to disagree with this mate. Proper immaculate genuine low km examples will sell for a premium (no matter base model or vs 1), as there are very few of these available on the market anywhere. Would have to agree there are plenty of examples going for peanuts, but thats because we are getting so many huge km, crashed or rusted examples lately in the aud v yen slum that the importers are trying to maintain old prices by bringing over worse examples.. It really is damaging the 34r market, as people see it as the norm, which is driving down local prices. Some bargains are definitely out there though, as good examples are being forced to lower prices to compete... Sad really. And yea, later models definitely hold there value better. Just my thoughts anyways, and best of luck with your search mate.
  18. ahh fair enough.. been there a few times.. but havent been out in the bay for along time.
  19. Would be very keen mate! I thought you said you dont have any external flashes? do you know how much they cost?
  20. That's awesome! Just finished drinking at the sleeze breeze did you?
  21. Very good point!
  22. I had a similar problem when i bought a second hand vspecII bonnet to put on my car. The duct had gone yellow and delaminated etc.. I was thinking about trying to fix it up, but the painters looked at it and thought it would be very difficult to get right, and i didnt really mind the idea of the duct being painted satin black to go with the rest of my car. Looks good on my car imo, but may not suit everyones etc. I havent looked into it, but was thinking if i wanted it back to carbon fibre, was thinking maybe some of that carbon fibre wrap? really dont know if that would work or not though. Heres a pic of how it looks.
  23. Thanks for the comments guys. Heres a few more....
  24. Yea sorry buddy, whilst I was uploading the pics, I was still checking whether another thread was started, but just missed it unfortunately ha. Sorry. Yea some of them are good, there are heaps more, but they were pretty crap, I wasnt really focussing too much on actually taking the pics... Should have got the tripod out haha
  25. Ha i started one just after you haha.. i couldnt be bothered posting all the pics again, so there located below. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/407870-newcastle-to-singleton-cruise-wrap-up/page__fromsearch__1
