  1. Sorry James, hope you don't mind. Cop version is stock GTS 2 except has standard silo wheel intead of momo, stock gearstick knob and boot, (versus leather and Exa Gear knob), no GTS embroidery on the seats, although the seats are still Scheels and the refabricated rear. Still ahs the 140kw motor and all the other goodies though, including turbo brakes and bilsteins.
  2. You may also want to inspect and check your rear engine mount. Even if it doesn't look like it has cracks in it, it may be very soft, and causing driveline vibration on take off. Rear engine mount actually hold the gearbox up, in case you haev trouble finding it.
  3. Build number is 145, and it's manual. How do I know this? Coz the first pic is a picture of my GTS 2. And it's sitting in a nice secure alarmed lock up. There is something very sus here. The other pic is off the R31 Forums as well. This thread is not worth anybody commenting on, he is clearly here trying to rip some one off of their 2 grand.
  4. Always happy to help out with the 31. My pleasure.
  5. Hey Jean Claude, Cazz here. Your GTS-x is worth between 5 and 9 thousand. If you don't comply it, it's not worth a lot at all. Not many people beleive what the importers say about genuine 1 owners or Japanese kilometers, so thats gonna be hard to sell as well. I reckon you should keep it, if it is 100 percent stock. If you bought it cheap, and it doesn't owe you a lot, hang onto it. Not many stock unmodified HR31;s around anymore. Give the crappy old Bluebird a run for its money too, (Joking). Cheers Cazz
  6. Thats what I was gonna suggest. Also check the boot floor for a leaky seal around the fuel gauge sender.
  7. Why wouldn't you just buy a new hazzard switch, they are like $20. Makes more sense than stuffing around trying to sort wiring out.
  8. YEAR: 1988-1990 MODEL: R31/HR31 BODY TYPE: 4 x Sedans and 1 x Pillarless 4 Door Hardtop COLOUR: 3 X Red, 1 X Green, 1 X Black 2 X GTS 2 1 X SVD Fire Brigade Rapid Response Vehicle 1 X S3 Ti Turbo sleepa with lots of mods 1 X 1989 HR31 Passage GT Factory Manual RB20DET Yes it is an illness
  9. I Have a R32 GTR Oil pump on one of my RB30's bolted straight up and was 1/2 the price of a stock RB30 one, direct from Nissan. Has around 3 times the volume of the stock unit.
  10. $75.00 gets you entry, a momento pack, and entry to the track, and entry to the concourse. It does not let you compete at the track, or attend the trivia night. It will also cost your partner, or additional people extra money to attend the "Welcome barbeque" and the Farewell Barbeque, where your entry fee of $75.00 covers these two items as well. Oh Presentation dinner is $65.00 per head, and no kids allowed. Oh no kids allowed to anything basically.
  11. Why should they have never been involved Greg? It was a very successful event for the NDSOC, and one they actually made money from, unlike almost every other national event the club has hosted. I am sure the NDSOC would be really pleased to hear a member of their committee is bagging a very successful event. Every one who attended had a ball, and that event is one of the reasons so many will be attending the nationals this year, and an event that you never even attended, and yet you are passing judgement. Despite other NDSOC members trying to sabotage the Skyline Nationals, it was a huge success, and one that will be repeated next year.
  12. Are you not able to get a ball joint front end for these Pete?, Not even a customised later model front end, say from a c110 or c210?
  13. Ditto the above. Too many accidents happen over this period. Take care to everyone. Thanks to everyone on this forum for their help, and a Merry Christmas as well.

    R31 Ti

Your fuel consumption sounds about right. I have a Ti as well as a couple of others The average consumption in traffic should be around 12 or 12.5, and on a trip should vary from 9.8 to 11.5. So you are right on the ball. The fuel tank is 65 litres, but the trip computer only takes into account around 50-55, so even your trip computer is right, because it has a 10 litre reserve. Your trip computer has a hidden function as well. If you press the hour and the minute buttons together, it will tell you how many litres are left in the tank. This is very accurate, and will help better with distance to empty, taking into account all the fuel instead of just what the trip computer thinks it has. So all in all, your trip computer is working accurately (the way it was intended anyway), and your fuel consumption is on the money.
  15. There are two transmissions in the R31 skylines. The early 86-88 Jatco box will go in, but won't work with your ECU and trans ECU. You need to make sure you have a very late 88-90 full electronic auto for your 89 R31 Skyline. Your mechanic is probably right. Hit the R31 Skyline forum (www.r31skylineclub.com) and do a search for someone selling a series 3 Electronic auto. If you need anymore help, pm me and I will see what I can do.
  16. Why anyone would make a backwards step to an RB20 in a local R31 is beyond me. The extra time and money in rewiring the car just isn't worth it to have a laggy RB engine under the hood. I have an RB 30 with a stock VLT setup, and managing 13.6 over the quarter mile. RB20's with the same configuration are getting around 14.5 - 15.2. Still good times, but not worth the expense of changing engines. The additional torque out of the 3.0 litre will be much better for getting of the line. Not too sure about drift, but I do know of a couple of R31's in the drift scene, and they seem to do pretty well. Work on your 3.0 litre, you will get a better result. If you must have twin cams, bang an RB25 head on it. Still too expensive, but a much better result than the 2.0 litre. Sorry Wheezy, we know how much you lurve the wheezy RB20.
  17. Rack, and most front end parts are different. There are some parts on the Aussie GTS that are the same, but generally your passage will need unique bits. Send me a PM if you would like some help sourcing anything new.
  18. RB30's are on an angle too, its the rocker cover that makes them look straight. Well they are in Aussie R31's anyway.
  19. Finally have excellent remanufactured GTS 2 side skirts. The copies I have will also fit coupes with a very easy mod that you can do yourself. These remanufactured skirts, are true to the original's even down to the correct holes, and spaces for the jack spots on the sill. If the skirts are ordered for a coupe, they will come with the mod. Introductory pricing is at $365.00 per pair. This price WILL be going up to $395.00 per pair. This is not a group buy, as the skirts will be made to order. Introductory pricing stays until all order placed until the 31st October. I can honestly say that these are the best copies I have seen, and I hope the quality continues. PLease email [email protected] for more details, and orders. Or phone 9580 5455 BH
  20. Price on genuine bushes for the R31, (There are 24 of them, and the rear control arms come as complete items) is $1200.00. You sure he wants all of them?
  21. People seem to think this was a disappointing turnout. That is not the message I am trying to get accross. It was also not just an R31 turnout. We had around 40 Visitors from interstate, and over 100 cars attend. It was a very successful event. Just was sad to see only a token few 32's and onwards there. The older marque was very well represented, and it really was a great weekend. Thanks to all those who promoted this event. I am sure that you will all see in the next unique cars, and lots of other magazines, how well attended this weekend was. And I hope it will encourage more late model skylines to turn up at the next nationals, whenever that may be.
  22. Will get a quote for you on monday
  23. Are you referring to "Bushes", and did you want front and rear? There are about 24 bushes all up in the front and the rear of the car. (Not sure of the exact amount). Are you after genuine Nissan ones or aftermarket ones? I can help you out with prices on Genuine ones, but any Bursons or Repco store should be able to help you out with aftermarket ones. First off you need to decide if you need them all.
