  1. Runners up were all given trophies. We have a truck load that need to be sent out to their new owners, becuase they were not at the presentation dinner. We are just posting the two best times up becuase we had issues with timing to start with. We had new software, and then confusion with numbers not being on the same spot on all the cars. Once this was sorted, we got our timing accurate.
  2. Race results guys
  3. We are not getting any more made Dennis, and to do a short run will not be cost effective. The quote I had to do three extra's in 4XL wsa $48.00 each. Happy for you to contact Blurgum Clothing direct and see if you can do any better.
  4. Have the following Merchanidise still available 1 Large Hoodie, XL hoodies x 2, 3xl x 5 $35.00 Each 20 Nats Caps $15.00 Each Polo’s Price Each XS x 1 $25.00 S x 1 $25.00 M x 10 $25.00 L x 11 $25.00 XL x 13 $25.00 2XL x 7 $25.00 3XL x 3 $25.00
  5. No Surprises, I remember yours. Lowest - 32 out of a possible 400 and something
  6. Coz he won a trophy at the presentation dinner. Results will be up as soon as the CSA Motorsport secretary finalises them, and we figure out how to get the report off the screen into some sort of readable format. We have all of the finale rounds of results, but we still need to get them into a form where we can put them in here, without having to type the whole lot out again. Patience my pretties.
  7. I can't wait for the day when that happens Mag86. Every time we have this event, we get more pre 1986 cars. As the president of "Classic Skylines Australia" it is very pleasing to see so many good cars, being imported, or restored or just pulled out of sheds. I can't wait to see more C110's and a few C210's turn up. The R30 contingent is now well represented. To be able to get a couple of KGC10's would be amazing. Please excuse my self indulgence, my first drive was terrifying, but soooooo mind blowing. mmmmmm pics make it look like I was in front of Rod. hehehehe, gonna let everyone think that. If only everyone knew how nervous I was in the picture below
  8. I love that photo, it's amazing.
  9. Ghostrider, I don't know what anyone can do to make you happy. I personally am really disappointed at your comments, which are once again misinformed. We have to order the trophies for this event six weeks in advance. Without knowing how many cars are going to turn up on the day, we can only guestimate what sort of cars are going to attend, so we base the trophy list on the cars that attended the last nationals. At the last nats, we had 5 pre 1986 cars, apart from the princes. So trophy's were ordered according to that attendance. This year, we had 8 R30's turn up, and 2 C110's. Most of these cars entered less than 4 weeks before the event. How you missed the announcement of Best Modified pre 86 proves that you weren't really listening. Out of the 10 pre 86 cars there, there were 6 trophies all up. There were many trophy's that were not presented on the night, because frankly, it's embarrasing to keep announcing winners, when they are not there to collect their trophy's. It doesn't do either car club any good. I agree the C110 was the stand out car of the event. It was the best prepared car I have ever seen. We do have an award for both him, and the sedan. But they were not there. The car that one best overall modified, won the points on the amount of mods, and the standard of the mods. There was a small points differnce between that car, and the C110. Thats the way the coins fell Dennis, so we had to go with that. I personally thought Stephen Kings HR30 was a standout, and, very marginally better than yours, but once again, the judges scored the cars, and we stuck with what the judges scored. You are far too critical my friend, especially seeing you walked away with first prize. It would have been fantastic to hear you say what a great event it was, and how pleased you were to walk away with a first place trophy, but instead you have once again criticised the massive amount of work gone into this, and all because you have assumed things that are incorrect. I have to say that my tolerance for your ignorance is wearing very thin. I really wish you could just appreciate the event, the cars, and the effort that went into making it all possible instead of feeling the need to put a dampner on all things Skyline. Your wheels are also on their way.
  10. We stopped racing at Eastern Creek when we found the oil in the catch can. So got the mechanics to check it straight away. I was hardly racing at full tilt, as it was my first time, it was pretty slow . I was not going to risk doing any real damage to the engine. The compression test showed even 100's on all four. A pretty good indication it's just tired. My Race mechanic is Jose Fernandez, and he said the car would be fine for some demo laps this weekend, and both my team mechanics agreed. I wouldn't like to lunch a 25 grand GMS engine in a hurry. I also have a spare GMS engine, that is brand new and never been run, so we are going to crack both of them at the same time, and get them both race ready. This car is pretty simple, nothing exotic like the HR31's and the GTR's. It's all pretty basic, and the old FJ20 is pretty much bullet proof, but I still wouldn't have taken it out on the track unless the mechanics said yep. With even, low compressions, it's 99 percent just tired. She won't be going out again until Phillip Island Historics next year, so we got plenty of time to get it right.
  11. Thanks so much for all the feedback, and guys, SAU-SA Exec is not kidding when he says this track day would not have happened without you. Matty T was unwavering in his commitment to this event, and he deserves a huge pat on the back. I doubt there is anyone more passionate than Matty about his Skylines. I hope it's OK, that I post this reply up in the CSA Forums as well, because it is fantastic to receive feedback like this. Wakefield Park is AASA Run, and we will actually be having Adam and his boys run and time that event for us. We have used them before, and everything runs easier when someone with years of experience handles the event. Perhaps we can have our timing there as well, and see what we can learn. It was our pleasure to be able to run such a successful event that included such a wide variety of Skylines, and in all honesty. this truly was the best Skyline Nationals event we have had out of the 3. To be able to get so many models there, thanks to you guys, was sensational. Shane, let me personally apologise for everything that could go wrong, going wrong with your entry. It's gotta happen to someone though, might as well be you . Don't know how many of you guys knew, that that was my first ever drive of the DR30 on the weekend, so I was left pretty much speechless after my drive. The car blew a gearbox at Lakeide a few weeks ago, so she was running with a standard DR30 Gearbox at Eastern Creek weekend before last, and at Eastern Creek we discovered a catch can full of oil, so the engine is very tired. I had to be kind to her, not just because of this, but because of the gearbox being a standard one as well. This all sounds very dramatic, but the gearbox and the engine have not been looked at since she ran Bathurst in 1987, so that is a sterling effort, as this was her third outing under my ownership. I had a ball for the whole weekend, wish I had of had more time to soicalise. Bring on Goulburn 2012.
  12. SAU SA cleaned up with trophies, as per my post on previous page. We will get these out to their respective owners over the next few days. Was a shame that only a two, out of the 10 trophies awarded to SAU had their owners at the dinner. And there is no malice in that comment either guys
  13. It's so easy to get worked up over the internet, when you can't hear the tone in which a comment is written. I apologise. When you typed, "How did "They" mess that up so badly,", I took it to mean that you meant the organisers, because we were the ones running the timing. We purchase the timing system the week before the event, because for a whole heap of reasons I won't go into here, we couldn't get other timing. So the team had to learn new software, as well as tackling numbers that were not all in the same spot on the cars, so by the time the car number was identified on some cars, others had gone through, and it was too late to then time the that was the one being researched. This was our best Nats ever, and after travelling back home with cars and trailer today, I am exhausted, no excuse. If we ever have a track day at Mallala again, we will do a whole lot differently, but thats not meant to take anything away from what a great day it was. We would hire Adam Ronke's team to get the sign in, scrutineering and categories done. This had to be left up to the CAMS officials, who insisted on running the event, as we did not have any CAMS registered officials. We should have been out on the track at 9.30 or 10 at the latest, if the program had of been run the way we wanted it. We were told on the day, that basically, what we wanted wasn't important. Not going to go any further into that. There are so many people who helped, and who were so generous in their time and support, including Tim from the MG Car CLub, and Chris Anderson. I am really looking forward to my next track day, and I hope everyone in here is too.
  14. That's a bit harsh guys. Without knowing what the issue was, you are blaming the organisers. If you on't know what the facts are, you shouldn't open your mouth. Anyhoo, The SAU SA contingent in this event was HUGE, and you guys walked away with 90 percent of the trophy's. Well done. Huge Thanks to Shane and Ruby, and everyone else who helped us out on the day, and for making this event over both days, such a fantastic event. We truly appreciated all the help from your team, and hope that you guys had as much fun as we did. The SAU NSW team have big shoes to fill for the next one at Goulburn and Wakefield, but having already met the president at Eastern Creek last year, I am pretty confident it's going to be another big one. Thanks again to all of you.
  15. After 3pm you will be able to collect your cars. This is a requirement of the council not much we can do sorry,
  16. Yeah thanks Blue, We will be trying to limit the number of people signing in at Mallala, as this then eats into time for scrutineering, and more importantly, track time. We found at the last nats that we got so bogged down with people signing in, and then signing their waivers, that we didn't get started until 10am. There will also be plenty of committee members at the show and shine, if some of the locals want to come down and sign in there. We will be in the Merchandise tent, and this will make it easier than signing in on the day. If you MUST sign in on the day, please try and get there really early (ie 8am), so that we can get that out of the way before we start signing waivers and begin scrutineering. Hoping that you guys can understand that it will be really important to try and get the track day started on time. Entries have now closed, but I have 4 spots left at $185.00 if anyone wants to take them up. Cheers Cazz President Classic Skylines Australia
  17. Craig is my Competition driver next year too guys. But I am going to have my bum in the seat for regularity next year. I had an unreal weekend, and am totally stuffed, but can't believe where my life is at the moment. I am one lucky girl Some pics from my camera.
  18. Thanks t everyone who came out yesterday. Weather was awesome, and all 3 Nissans managed to come home unbroken. Oh, yes, there were actually 3 Skylines out there Hanso lol.
  19. Was a great weekend with 3 Nissans in the top 5. Doesn't get a whole heap better than that.
  20. what he ^^^ said. As per my PM Dennis, I understand where you are coming from, but to toehrs it's easy to construe your posts as being something they are probably not meant to be. No one is questioning your passion, or your knowledge. I am fortunate enough to have the same sort of issue re pm's and post re the R31, and it is always an honour to be able to help someone out who wants and/or needs to know answers to questions. I really believe in the scheme of things, $270.00 per light is a very small price to pay for a brand new genuine item for a car that they stopped selling 25 years ago. When you consider that a tail light for a current model falcodore is around the same price, or more expensive, and the quality is more than questionable, these represent reasonable value. And lets not forget, people like you and I will ahve our DR30's and R31's for many many years. I have grabbed these while I can, coz they are not an infinite quantity. Cheers guys, relax, we all have the same passion.
