Oh, to add some spice, Gavin Strongman, Terry Ashwwod and Rod Markland are going to be giving us a great show of the Nissan Works race Skylines on the Deca Track. On top of that, Gavin has allowed the club to raffle 2 passenger runs in the DR30 (Fondly known as George), of at least 3 laps on Sunday. Worth being there to win these 2 prizes.

5 days of downtime is ridiculous. Especially so close to the nationals. I don't live for the R31 Skyline Club forums to be running like some do, but I was depending on this site to get final bookings, and answer any questions. Whoever decided this had to be done now, should have remembered about the nationals, and the fact that it has taken 5 days, well, I am flabergasted that it has taken that long as well.

Thanks for the spelling correction and extra info Ghostrider. I knew it was also because of HP that they use auto's, but I didn't know they used powerglides. Watching those cars in action, is certainly a sight to behold though. Go the RB30.

I modded an Auto R31 Ghostrider. After the Turbo went in, the stock auto lasted about 2 seconds. (Slight exageration there). And I decided to keep the car auto, rather than go the manual conversion. With an Auto, they stay on boost and have less lag. Brescani racing have their cars as auto as well, and I would assume its for the same reason. Wouldn't bother putting a shift kit in one though. Waste of money if you are going to do nothing else. A manual conversion is always another option, if you can't afford to do an auto properly, but its always good to know what you are doing with a manual conversion as well. I have seen some shockers. Yarra Valley Automatics rebuilt my series 3 auto to handle 300 KW, and it does a fine job with 225 KW, (flywheel). BUT, I have a manual car as well, so I can still get my manual fix.

Well the 31 site is back up, but now they are moving servers. What are these people thinking? Ash, you go for it, coz I can't tell you how stupid this whole thing is, when we are now 6 days out from the nationals. The 1st national event for Skyline Enthusiasts, and the bloody webs ite is down for almost a week. What a joke. I don't care how shitty the Gods of the R31 Skyline club get, perhaps they don't care about how much time and effort has gone into this event in recognition of the 20th anniversary of their marque. But I bloody do, and the more support I can get about getting up someone about this the better. This is just hopeless. /me says can ya guess how pissed off I am.

Sign in is at the showgrounds Ed, as per the flyer. The Concourse will be there too if it's bucketing down with rain, but I doubt it. I am so with John about being pissed about this. 1 Week to the nats, and the website is down. Not a happy camper.

I think the site has exceeded it's monthly limit, so it might be ages. I thought this issue was recently resolved, but obviously not.

Welcome to the R31 car ownership club. The tech info page at www.r31skylineclub.com is your best friend. The best look for an engine bay is a meticulously clean one. A strut brace for your car will do nothing for its appearance, or it function. Clean, and shiny always makes people go WOW.

I will take some entry forms up with me, and you guys can compete in Deca if you want. I would prefer to know actual numbers, BUT, I do want to get as many to this as I can. We still have spots left. If you are able to let me know by email that you are coming, I will make sure that you can sign in on the sunday. We will just fill the forms out on the day. As I stated earlier, you can compete in the event for only $115.00, and that includes all 3 events. We were hoping to have a heap of you guys there, as the NDSOC has not had many events at Deca, and we were seriously looking forward to getting SAU heavily involved. The more the merrier, if it means signing you up on the day, so be it. Look forward to seeing as many of you as we can up there.

Entry price for SAU Members has not gone up. It remains at $115.00, and this price will include a polo, cap, stubbie holder and keyring tokens of the event. These items only avaible for the Deca entry though, so when you consider that you get a showbag with $75.00 worth of goodies and other freebies, makes Deca look cheap. This is up for discussion on a couple of other threads, but if you own a classic skyline, you owe it to yourself to get to this event. Time is running short, so get to the website, and book your accomodation now. The event has all of the best hotel facilities booked already, so you must ring the 1800 number to book your accomodation, otherwise, you will be told sorry, we are booked. Saturday is where all the best cars will be on display, and sunday is the race day.
