  1. i made a duct out of template plastic. when finished make sure you cut at least 1-2cm back from the oil cooler. you dont want it rubbing on it. i also used race tape to connect and hold either end. but the basic box is held together with self tappers. underneath. through front bar.
  2. the 2 mounts on the left are using existing threads on the body this mount goes to a hole behind the radiator overflow bottle u will need a screw, nut and washers. mounted oil cooler. cut hole for vent. vent siliconed and rivited in place. though self tapping screws would be better as the rivets will stretch the plastic.

  4. i have a painted fiberlass bonnet for the past 3yrs and no fading.
  5. for mine it was allways the alternator belt that was doing all of the screeching. and boy did it screech.. i ended up haveing the neighbours ask me if it was my car they were hearing in the morning. tighten it a bit untill it stops then back it off. if it still does it after youve backed it off tighten it up a little more untill it stops again. what u dont want to do is tighten the f**k outa it and root the belt.
  6. dont take everything you hear as gospel. you know if your really going to be pushing the car to the edge. then i might say yeah go get some new or decent 2nd hand tyres that will provide grip. though if they are really old tyres they might feel ok in the dry but in the wet if u dont have tread to disperse the water they will feel worse than they should be. the ones in the pic are fine. they are not at the limiter markers so drive on. or drift on them next time out get a new set and u will be set.

  8. lets hope its turning 2 tyres on the launch. you need a good lsd to help get all that power to the ground. go the same route as al of the other drag racers soft suspension, zero deg camber, let some air out of the tyres, sticky soft compound drag tyres.
  9. i have just removed the driver side rotor/hub. i know a little about shoes. but a little is all i know. i noticed that the right side shoe is missing a screw and spring to hold it in place. i found the spring but not the screw. can i buy the springs separatly or will i have to shell out for a whole new kit? the pic where my finger is pointing at the hole is where the spring and screw should be. the shoe just wobbles everywhere without it. also can i adjust the shoes out a little more, by using what looks to be the adjuster? its at the very bottom! you cant see it in the pics though. and is there enough meat left on them? if you want me to take a few more pics of them then i can Craig. for r33gtst

  11. where are they selling them? im going to need some to drift on at powercruise. 225's prefered looking towards brand new though if there are places out there that are selling 90-95% tyres at good prices i am willing to look at them as well.

  13. id love to take a friend out for a thrash in the passenger seat. at oran park we cant take passengers out. though i think it is ok to do so at wakefield park. not sure about EC either. to bad about the hireing costs. bobby jane shut calder dragway. due to illness. now calder park raceway is becoming more and more distant for hire. lucky you still have old faithfull "winton".

  16. yes it is. u should get the gtr in rwd mode and shred some tyres thanks for the replies. chris and steve it's been that long between chats boy's that i just forgot. im going to do powercruise in a few weeks if i can find out whats going on with some special deal through IDA. its yet to be announced! i might go out to OP in march with them as well.

  18. nope. not that i know. try pm'ing some of the peeps from the first few posts and see if they still have them. wouldnt mind seeing the OG pics myself. so if u do get them put them back up but use SAU's pict gallery as the host destination for the photo's u get. that way the photos will never be lost.
  19. Diff is still going strong. excellent for drifting. If the car were track only this mod would last a very long time at its peak. i did an IDA drift day at OP north 2 weeks ago and all was good. not bad for a daily driven/tracked car. $60 mod inc shims & oil. FTW11TY.

  21. mine binds sometimes just after startup. the belt slips, when i turn the steering wheel, and the pump momentarily stops pumping. well i guess that thats the problem.

  25. not good to hear. possibly like u say the car had crap tyres and going those speeds and turning in at the same time as braking, could have made the car go the way it did. ive been told by allot of people that turn 1 is hairy. get back into it again champ. if i were you i would part the car out. u have allot of expensive parts on there. and when your done with it then part it out at a bargain price. youll make allmost 2 times what ur asking easy. u can pretty much say the swaybars are f**ked and quite possibly the some of the shockies as well. GL with it all.
