  1. I had my series 1 for almost a year & have had my series 2 for about 4 months. There is literally no difference in the drive. That extra torque is not noticable, the only thing that is are the cosmetic changes.Actually there is 1 difference I have noticed. My series 2 steps out sideways easier, this is due to the diff. My diff on the series 1 was screwed so only 1 wheel would spin & the back end would not step out.
  2. I just bolted it to my turbo heat shield. I have not noticed any difference since it has been bolted back on.
  3. Measure from the centre on the wheel to the guard, then jack up & then adjust accordingly. Not sure about the pineapples, never played with them.
  4. Thats good info, thanks. The series 1 GTT has a headlight adjuster switch, unfortunately the series 2 does not
  5. I put in Spitfires & issue went away. They were $500.00 Iv read many good things about them & most ppl on here say go OEM or Spitfires. OEM is more expensive
  6. My current R34 still has the factory Xenons & my previous one had normal H1's As far as I can see the plugs from my current car are different from my last one. I get the impression the wires will have to be cut & new plugs that fit H1 globes need to be installed plus there is a little metal round thing that seems to convert the hole where the Xenon globe goes to fit a H1 globe. I could be wrong as I have not had a very good look on my current car but I changed bulbs many many times on my last one & it def's looks different.
  7. Had the same issue with my R34. It sounds like a Suburu coz its not running on all 6 cylinders. Its not running on all 6 cylinders coz a coilpack is stuffed & that is why the traction control light & slip light is coming on. I changed my coilpacks & problem is fixed. Only difference I had was my engine light came on too.
  8. A series 1 GTT has a Viscous diff. Only the series 2 manuals came out with the Helical diff's. The series 2 auto's also used a Viscous diff. From memory i used Nulon 85W-140 limited slip diff oil in my series 1 last year.
  9. I had BC's in my last GTT, they were about the same stiffness as the King springs I took out of it. So not too harsh on the road at all. They were the rubber top's I love them & will be putting another set in my current GTT.
  10. Burn it!!! Just kidding If anyone also knows any auto electricians that are familiar with Skylines in the Brisbane area please provide details
  11. I used Valvoline fully synthrtic but the noise started before I changed the oil & I have no idea what oil was in the car before I changed it. The car did about 1500k's since owning it when the noise started. I will try a thicker oil & see what happens
  12. You will need to charge your battery for a few hours an hour probably wont do anything. I had an issue like that in my Swift. The starter motor would get stuck & then would just make a clicking sound. Try putting the car in gear & then pushing it or rocking it just to get the motor to turn otherwise get a long breaker bar & tap the starter motor. Hope this helps
  13. I do feel after listening to that maybe my tappet cover is leaking. I found the 2 bolts right on the end were loose. Maybe I should pull it off & check the gasket.
  14. The ticking noise started just before I serviced it. I only just bought the car so have no idea what oil was used but it was pretty black when I changed it. I added a bottle of oil addictive to try thicken the oil, didnt seem to really help.
  15. Ok so the ticking sound is back. I really hope its just an exhaust manifold leak. Can anyone confirm with the information I have provided below The ticking cannot be heard from first start up only once engine is up to temp The sound seems to get louder as the car gets hotter The sounds seems to be coming from the exhaust side of the tappet cover Any help is appreciated Also the ticking does follow the revs
  16. Wow that does sound a fair bit worst than mine. Still a bit worried that mine isnt just an exhaust gasket/manifold leak. Think i should have a listen again with one of those pool noodles
