Stollen R34 Skyline

I didnt really see the need for a kill switch. I do now. Iv been told they are pretty cheap so think it's well worth it. I got pretty lucky & my car was insured for the amount I had spent on it less the 2 grand excess -

I just had a Mongose immobiliser fitted but they got the car keys so it didnt help. I will be fitting a kill switch to my next one & will ensure they cant get to the keys either. Hopefully that will make things harder for them. -

Street Tyres At The Drags
B-Boi34 replied to FR33ZN's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
I dono my R34 was only making 165rwkw & i was having some pretty big traction issue. Had to baby it off the line (holding it at about 3 grand, slowly stepping off the clutch & waiting before I went to WOT) otherwise I went no where just spun. -

I under stand the guys with race tyres warming them up coz race tyres only work at a certain operating temp's but street tyres are designed not to need to be warmed up to be able to produce grip & iv been told heating them can actually make things worst. So just wondering how these street semi's work. -
I currently race karts. There are a hand full of tracks that are not AKA related & you dont need a licence to race or practice. I have no idea where these tracks are in Vic as im in QLD. If you would like to go to a AKA track you need to be a member of a club (annual fees are around $100) & you need to hold a casual licence if you just wanna go out on practice days or a race licence if you wanna race. You cannot put your kart on a track unless you have a licence. The best place to start is http://www.karting.net.au/?bcsi_scan_F246D99C5E000224=0

Sorry to Hi-jack your thread but does anyone know with "street semi's" like Federal RSR's for example is there any point in warming them up at the drags or are they the same as normal street tyres that don't like heat? -
Haha alright will do. Thanks for the information.

Yeah the agreed value went from 21k to $16 500 when I got my renewal notice. Good thing the car got stolen whilst it was still insured for 21k or I would have not been happy. Really good service though, took 3 weeks to payout & didnt have to provide a single thing apart from the police report number.

Wow those are some fairly cheap premiums. My R34 GTT with Just Car was just over $2000 a year with the standard excess. 22 year's old in Brisbane. To be fair I did lose my licence which bumped it up about $350 for the year. Agreed value was $21k & they paid out 21k minus the excess coz my car got jacked.

Need A Mechanic In Sydney To Do Compression Test
B-Boi34 replied to B-Boi34's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Im happy to do it myself but im flying down from Brisbane so won't have any tools & dono how happy the seller will be for me (not a qualified mechanic) to be pulling off coil packs, crossover pipe ect ect. Can anyone recommend a mobile mechanic that wont charge me an arm & a leg to do a comp test? Im happy to do the rest of the inspection myself. -
